"You promise me that you'll wait for me when practice is over, Y/N/N?" My brother, Dylan, pleaded as he pointed at the spot he was standing on.
"Yes, I will wait for you here, Dylan." I chuckled lowly to myself, my eyes widening when I saw Jakob walk by. Making hand signs at him that told him to wait for a few minutes, I knew that Dylan was getting more and more confused.
"Are you alright there, Y/N?" Dylan confusedly looked at me like I was some crazy person. I gazed back at him and played it off coolly.
"Yeah," I leaned against the wall, trying to hide the fact that I saw Jakob walk by. "I just saw one of my friends walk by, that's all."
"But, B/F/N works at Target," Dylan's eyebrows furrowed and his eyes narrowed, judging whether I was telling the truth or not. "As far as I know. But, you may be right, maybe she works here at the arena..."
"And speaking of which," I pushed his frame towards the locker room, "you're late for yours."
"Remember," he looked at me in a stern way, "meet me by the entrance."
"Alright, alright," I gave him a thumbs-up, "I'll meet you there in a few hours."
---
"Hey, Y/N!" I heard a muffled voice trying to speak to me. Looking up from my phone, I saw it was Jakob on the other side of the glass.
"Hey, Jakob!" A genuine smile appeared on my face, waving at him. "How are you?"
"I'm doing fine," he shrugged his shoulders, playing around with the puck before passing it to Oliver. "How about you?"
"I'm doing well, thanks for asking." I nodded my head, remembering about the game last night. "How was your first game in the NHL?"

"You know, playing in my first NHL game and getting the first NHL point was a surreal feeling. I still can't believe it, even today! But, hey, gotta give props to Auston. 4 goals in 1 game, that's pretty amazing." He chuckled to himself before he heard the coach call him, "I'll talk with you later. Love you."
I blew him a kiss, hoping that Dylan didn't notice and luckily, he didn't.
---
"Y/N, you have to tell him sooner or later..." My good friend, Lawson, mentioned about the fact that I still didn't tell Dylan about my relationship with Jakob.
"Tell me what?" Dylan walked up to where we were standing with a curiosity-filled look on his face, "do you guys have something that you're hiding from me? Lawson, are you quitting Snapchat?"
"What? No! I don't have anything that is a secret," Lawson shook his head quickly to downplay the situation. "I'm just going to leave you two alone... Good luck with him, Y/N/N!"
"Oh, shut up, Crouse!" I playfully rolled my eyes at him as he dashed out to the hallway and go into the locker room for 'protection'.
"What is he so scared about?" Dylan snorted, wondering what was going on.
"Ihaveaboyfriend," I quickly spilled the beans, but he was confused about what I said.
"Could you say that a little slower?" Dylan cleared his throat, going into brother-mode all of a sudden. Crossing his arms across his chest, he leaned against the wall and gave me the look to say it again.
"I said, I have a boyfriend." A confident smirk started to appear on my face, also crossing my arms. "And, there he is!" Jakob walked over to where we stood, not having a clue about what the hell was going on.

"What's going on here?" Jakob inquired, wrapping an arm of his around my waist. "Oh... You were telling Dylan that we were in a relationship."
"Wait. What! You two are dating?" Dylan's confused look turned into a shocked expression. He was trying to process the brand new information. "Jakob, you do know that you're dating my sister, right?"
"Yes, I know that, Dylan." Jakob kissed my forehead before looking back at Dylan. "And I would never do anything to break her heart."
"Good. Because, if you do, I swear to god, Lawson and I will come to your place and-"
"And that's all for today, folks." I broke up the little 'argument' between him and Jakob. "Well, I'm really glad that you approve of the relationship, Dyl."
"Ooh, wait until you tell Ryan." He smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.
"Lucky for us that he lives all the way in NYC."

Drinker of the Yew: A Necromancer's Tale
Updates Once a Week next update 10/5 Wracked with misfortune, a nameless village along the edge of the Gray Spine rejoiced at the arrival of a paladin. Those celebrations, though, turned to wary tension as the paladin brought an unknown into their midst - his wife Nayinis, who wears the markings of a necromancer. Who is this woman? Why has she come to their village? Nayinis divulges her shadowed past, for she needs the village's trust to defeat the powerful foe that she has been summoned by the divine to face. What to expect: This is a slow-paced, dark, epic-fantasy book written mostly in an archaic first-person style, remniscent of fariy-tale at times. I am expecting the final product to be close to 600-700 pages. The first few chapters introduce a somewhat-steep learning curve of names and mythology of the world that plateaus at aroud chapter 5. Draugr Cell //Layer 01-- Investiture:
With the end of the only war to ever reach mainland Australia I found myself living out of a small room in an old military compound that had been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The end of the war, unfortunately, didn't mean the end of hostilities. The terrorism trend that had started back in the early 2000's with the attack on the world trade center over in America, had spread to just about every country on the face of the planet. Over time the constant threat from various groups meant the civilian police force was quickly undermanned, under equipped, and overwhelmed. They were simply unable to respond to the daily threats in any reasonable time frame, and in many situations lacked the both the skills and equipment required to deal with the threats to put them down in a 'safe' and expedient manner. Veterans of the war that were being reintegrated into society however, were just about everywhere, all the time. We have the training and the skills required to deal with just about any threat you care to mention, all we needed was access to the equipment to do so. In a world first, under the new Veterans program, the Australian government had taken the rather controversial step of allowing specifically selected veterans to go armed in public. Sure, with Australian weapons laws being very, very strict there were a number of hurdles to get over first, but that's where the selection part comes in. Tangentially that's actually how I met Brianna, my current partner. We work as ringers in Victory City, I thought being thrown into imptomtu combat operations and risking my life on a daily basis for barely livable wages was excitement enough. Then I met her... it... I don't know. An AI unlike anything else out there has wedged itself into my life and decided it needs to... look after me. What could possibly go wrong? **** This is the first book I have released, and my first entry into a cyberpunk universe. There is minimal drug use, a fair amount of sex, a bit of gory violence, and a sultry AI that has decided the main character needs a harem.

In The Maw Of The Gods
Synopsis Lilly Harper was always the type to keep to herself. She struggled to make friendships and so, she simply opted not to. That was why moving to the coastal town of Wilham didn’t bother her. She wasn’t leaving anybody behind and she certainly didn’t expect to be making any friends any time soon. However, when she starts hearing about the school’s “Magic Club”—a group of weirdos who claim that magic is real, she can’t deny that she’s slightly intrigued. Then without warning, she suddenly finds herself wrapped up with them. And what if they aren’t crazy? What if magic is actually real? And what if it’s because of that magic that something more powerful than they could ever conceive of is drawn to Wilham? I plan to follow a release schedule of Tuesday/Friday. Average chapter length will be 4,000 to 6,000 words and I will be using multiple POV's quite often. Also to note, while I am flagging the story with content warnings, I am only doing so because there are specific moments where it will be needed. Overall, the story will be relatively tame and I plan to put extra warnings at the beginning of chapters that it applies to. Thank you to everybody who decides to give my story a chance and I hope you enjoy it!
