"Just take a nap for a few hours, sweetheart...I'm not going anywhere." Mike cooed at me as my eyes were starting droop due to the lack of sleep caused by the flu that I had caught from P.K.
"Could you make me some chicken noodle soup, please?" I covered my mouth while I was coughing and grabbed a Kleenex for my runny nose.
He smiled at me and nodded his head before he got off the couch and turned on the fan for me so I wasn't complaining about the temperature of the blanket or the temperature of the fan alone. Slowly, I nuzzled my head deeper into the pillow and started to doze off into sleep. I heard footsteps getting lighter and lighter away from me, but I ignored it because all I wanted to do was sleep.

Okay, that could've gone better, but at least, it was an easy job. What I basically did was I put a little too much salt in the chicken broth, so I countered it by adding black pepper. I sprinkled on a few sprigs of dill and turned off the stove to let the soup cool down just for about 5 minutes. After it cooled down a little bit, I set the bowl gently down on the tray and carefully lifted it up and brought it over to where Y/N was sleeping on the couch.
She was still sleeping, so I had to figure out a way to wake her up when I thought, why not a kiss on the cheek?
Slowly, I leaned towards her cheek to kiss her for a wake-up call, when...You guessed it. My lips landed on her lips instead of her cheek like I was intending to. I pulled away from the kiss to find Y/N fully awake and alert. She looked at me with her eyes widened and I was at a loss for words.

"Here's your soup..." I set the tray down on the coffee table in front of her and she politely thanked me for it.
"Thank you, Mike." She softly smiled at me before she began to dig into the soup and I walked up to the pantry and grabbed a bag of potato chips before I headed back to the sofa to find the bowl of soup completely empty.
"Well, I guess you can take the medicine, now!" I joked as I set the bag down on the coffee table; grabbed the box of the flu pills; popped one open, and handed it to her. Realizing that she drank the entire glass of water, I got up from my seat, refilled her glass with water and handed it back to her.
She looked up at me as if she didn't want to take the medicine but I looked at her sternly. Muttering a few strings of curse words, she took the medicine and gulped down the water to get rid of the disgusting aftertaste.
"Hey, Y/N?" I looked up at her, staring into those E/C eyes of hers.
"Yes, Mike?"
"Do you have any memory of us kissing a few minutes ago?"
"You mean when you were trying to kiss my cheek but I turned my head, so you kissed my lips? That one?"
"You saw that!? I thought you were asleep!"
"I may be sick, but I was awake when you kissed me..."
