*Ring Ring*

I groaned as I sat up in my bed and carefully rubbed my eyes to get some sleep out of them. I looked down at my phone, but it wasn't my alarm clock that woke me up. Great.

It was my next door neighbor's alarm clock which woke me up. My classes at the University don't even start until 9 o'clock. Well, that was the 10th time this month in which he had his volume very high on his phone and I heard it from my apartment.

Deciding to get out of the bed, I took a quick shower and got ready for the day before I had breakfast and I wanted to talk to the neighbor about his loud alarm clock. As I was slipping on my shoes, I grabbed a granola bar from one of the pantries and I headed out the door.

I walked to the apartment that was to the left of mine and loudly knocked on the door.

"Hold on! I'll be there in a second!" A Finnish accent rang through the room and I leaned against the wall, waiting for the neighbor to come out of their apartment. The door made a jingling sound and the lock was shut and I was face-to-face with a handsome blue-green eyed and blonde hair man.

"May I help you?" He looked at me as he lifting his equipment bag onto his shoulders.

I was too busy staring at the beauty that I completely forgot why I came over. He snapped his fingers to get me out of my dreamland and I was blushing when I made eye contact with him. I walked up to him with my arms crossed and I decided to be civil to him.

"Hi, I'm Y/N L/N from the apartment to the right of yours..." I smiled and outstretched my hand for him to take.

"Hi, I'm Olli Määttä. It's nice to meet you, Y/N." He shook my hand before we let go.

We talked for a few minutes and we got to know each other a little bit better. Turns out, he was the new neighbor whose alarm clock was a bit too loud...

"Oh my god, I am so sorry for the noisy alarm clock! I'm a heavy sleeper and it kinda helps me get up and be on time to practice..." He blushed as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck and I looked in a confused way at him.

"Practice?" My voice was uncertain as soon as I spoke.

"Yeah. I-uh-I play for the Pittsburgh Penguins. I'm a defenseman." He chuckled lowly to himself and I mentally facepalmed myself for making a fool out of myself.

"Oh god, I am so sorry for not recognizing you. But, I understand what it's like living in a new house; I moved here a few months ago away from an apartment from a few of my college friends to get some space for myself."

"It's no problem. I assume that you have to get to your classes and I have to be at the Consol in about 55 minutes..."

"Well in that case, why don't we get to know each other with a little coffee date at the Starbucks across the street?"

"I'd love that, thanks."
