"Connor...Babe...My little carrot cake?" I shook my husband's arms and to no avail did he wake up...
My first instinct was to jab him in the chest, which is what I actually did. He finally woke up and looked at me in pain.
"Ow! What the hell was that for!?" Connor sat up, rubbing his chest in pain, "I swear, you could be a boxer or something..."
Sarcastically, I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "The baby's craving something..."
"And that something is?"
I quietly mumbled, "chocolate chip cookies..."
Connor looked really confused and asked again.
This time, I yelled out real loud, "I said chocolate chip cookies!"
Connor stood up from the bed and started to get dressed up. I looked up at him as into where he was going to go.
"Connor honey, where are you going?" I stifled my laugh as he was putting his winter stuff on.
"I'm going to a bakery...Where you get cookies?" Connor zipped up his coat and grabbed his car keys, "don't you move anywhere!"
"I won't, geez! I love you!" I shouted to him and he yelled it back to me.
---
"Honey, I'm here!" Connor panted as he stepped into the bedroom and lifted up the bag filled with desserts and other stuff. "And I got treats for a certain someone!"
I squealed like a kid and walked up to him; giving him a kiss on the lips as a thank you.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I giggled as I snatched the bag away from and started to munch on the chocolate chip cookies.
"Anything for my beautiful wife and my little girl." Connor kissed my lips softly and kissed my bump.

"That tickles, Conn!" I giggled and he looked up with a mischievous smile.
Immediately, he started to tickle it and I started to laugh, eventually running out of breath and begged him to stop. "Let me eat my chocolate chip cookies in peace!"
"I'll stop if you give me a cookie..." Connor sat down on the bed and pouted his lips.
"I'll give you 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie' instead." I rolled my lips and he started to beg.
"Please, please, please, Y/N?" He begged, bringing out puppy dog eyes.
I was unable to resist and gave in, giving him a cookie. "Here. You happy now?"
"Very much so! Thank you!" He smiled and I giggled at his actions.
Walking over to where he sat, I sat down by him and looked into his blue eyes. "You know I love you, right?"
He chuckled and nodded his head while he held my left hand in his. "I love you and our little girl so much."
I whispered an 'I love you' back before before I started to fall asleep again....

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! For writing a story during the month of November, you have unlocked the Royal Road Writathon Participant path!

Urban Divinity
He slowly backs up until his back is against the wall like my own, "You're..my neighbor?" He points to my door and I nod my head quickly. He hums softly, "You been here a while?" He asks and I nod my head once again. He chuckles, "Ya head hurt?" I nod again but stop as he laughs softly, "I-I mean.. no.. it doesn't." My cheeks burn red as I look at my shoes, "I-It doesn't hurt.." I repeat like a dummy and listen to him clear his throat, "So do you actually live there or was it bull?" He nods to my door and I play with my fingers, "Yeah.. I do.." I feel his eyes watch me and I quickly stop. "You live with your boyfriend or do you like sweatshirts that reach your knees?" He teased, making a giggle slip past my lips. I look away to the floor again, "I-I like big shirts... a lot." I mumble softly and he nods his head, "Hol' up." He puts his box down before walking over to one of the grey bins. I nosily watch as he pulls out a big grey sweatshirt, "Here." He holds it out for me to take and I stare at him with wide eyes, "F-For me?" I hesitantly grab the soft fabric as he chuckles, "Nah for ya mom." I puff my cheeks a little and give him a small glare, "Hush." He leans back against the wall and shakes his head, "It's cold out. You should put it on." ____________________________She was a shy girl from the city with no spine and a list of problems so long that it could touch the floor and roll off her shoes. Body Modifier: Energy Required
Aria ate a fish. [Energy: 2] Finished, he ate another fish. [Energy: 2] ... [Energy: 3] Without realizing it, he had finished 5 fishes. He felt a little bloat, he lay down with a full stomach, occasionally burped. Even though he didn't want to be a big lump of meatball, he still had to keep eating. At least until he found another way to accumulate energy. After all, if he didn't take advantage of his advantages, wasn't that stupid? His mind then drifted imagining which one he would use the energy for. Should he use it on his eyes, so it shot a beam of laser, like a certain bespectacled mutant? Should he use it on his bones, so it regenerated infinitely, like a certain character from an anime? Should he use it on his brain, so he became a genius, like a scientist with a bald head? Or should he use it on his vital organ, so that he became the manliest person in the world? While he was imagining things, suddenly his ears felt pinched. "Ouch!" "Didn't mom already say you can't play with fire, you brat?!" There he realized, knowing that no matter what he chose, he was still a child in front of his mother.
