"Dougie, I'm home!" I shouted as I set my stuff down on the kitchen counter.
But, something was unusual with the house... The lights were all dim and there were candles lighted up that were sitting on top of the dining table in the dining room.
I shuffled my feet and walked up to the table to find a note. 'Hey, Y/N. I went out to get a few things for our wedding anniversary dinner tonight. I know you probably came back from work, but I got something special for you....'
Oh dear, our wedding anniversary was tomorrow...
Next to the note was a beautiful coral dress that came down to a few inches above my knees and had lace 3/4 sleeves. I carefully took the dress in my arms, cautiously walked up the stairs into the bedroom and got dressed in it. Just since the dress was fancy, I decided to pair it with the rose gold heels Dougie got me for my birthday last year.
As soon as I walked down the stairs, I saw Dougie standing downstairs in a suit, dressed up all fancy-like. I slowly walked downstairs since I was wearing heels and Dougie held his hand out for me.
"Happy anniversary, Y/N." Dougie smiled as he held my hand in his.
"Why, thank you, Mr. Hamilton. Shall we eat dinner?" I said in a fake British accent and he started to chuckle to himself.

"Cheers to our 1 year wedding anniversary." Dougie held out his champagne glass and I cheered with him.
"Uhh, Dougie..." I nervously laughed as he set his glass down on the table.
"Yeah, sweetheart?"
"Our wedding anniversary is actually tomorrow."
"What!? I thought it was today?"

"No, it's tomorrow, honey."
"Well, I guess I did this for nothing?"
"Dougie, you didn't do this for nothing! You have a game tomorrow and it was actually smart of you to celebrate it tonight!"
"Really, Y/N?"
"Really, Dougie."
Dougie all of a sudden stood up from his chair and I also reciprocated the action. He walked up to me and leaned down to kiss my lips.
I swear to god, being with him since his Junior days has really flew by fast.
"I love you so much, Y/N Hamilton...."
"I love you too, Dougie Hamilton..." I spoke softly as I pulled away, "I love you too."
