"And the United States has beaten Team Canada 4-2!" My heart sank as soon as the buzzer went off.
Yes, I might be from the States, but my Canadian boyfriend is not going to be in the best mood for the rest of the day. And my boyfriend is you guessed it, Mitch Marner; co-captain of the London Knights, Toronto Maple Leafs prospect, and part of the winning Team Canada from last year's Ivan Hilinka tournament.
Grabbing my stuff, I left the stands and went down to the locker rooms, waiting for Mitch.
"Hey, Y/N... Mitch's pretty upset right now and he told me that all he wants is to be comforted by you... I'll see you at the Denmark game, though. I'll talk to you later to see how Mitch's doing, he's my buddy and I don't like seeing him being a sad puppy." Dylan sadly smiled, giving me a hug before he left the arena to go back to the hotel.
I walked into the locker room to find Mitch quietly putting his hockey gear away.
"Hey babe..." I quietly whispered, striding over to where Mitch sat, kneeling in front of him. "Are you feeling okay?"
"Can we go back to the hotel? I really need some cuddles from my favorite girl..." Mitch mumbled, placing his head into the crook of my neck.
"Of course, Mitchy-poo..." I smiled, grabbing his hand and walked out of the arena.
We walked back to the hotel since it was only about a 5 minute walk from the arena.
As soon as we got back to the hotel, Mitch jumped on top of the bed before laying down.
"Oh sweet bed, how I missed you so much..." Mitch mumbled into one of the pillows, kissing it.

"Are you cheating on me with that pillow, Mitchell Marner?" I sarcastically smirked like a madman, jumping onto the bed and laid next to him.
"Ooh, are we a little jealous here, L/N?" Mitch peppered kisses all over my face and I giggled because of it tickled me a lot.
"Not at all, Marner! I know you love me with all your heart..." I smiled, giving him a sweet kiss and pulled away before it got too heated.
"Oh come on, Y/N! Is that the best you could do?" Mitch smirked, before he pulled me back into the kiss, but this time; it got pretty escalated very quickly. His hands were messing up with my hair while my hands tugged the baby hairs on the back of his neck.
We were in the make-out session for a good half-hour before we heard a knock on the door and startled us.
"Y/N? Mitch? It's me, Dylan Strome... I just wanted to see how you're doing..." Dylan's voice rang through the room, causing me to jump out of the bed and opened the door to answer him.
"Hey Dylan, yeah he's feeling way better! Hey! Why don;t you go over to Konecny and Crouse's room, I heard they're doing a ping-pong competition...Why don't you and Virtanen go?" I quickly spoke, gently pushing him out of the door before he cut me off.
"Ohhh, I know what you're trying to do... Anyways, I'll see Mitch at practice tomorrow; I hope." Dylan smiled, winking a few times at Mitch before waving goodbye.
Locking the door, Mitch walked over to where I stood and gently pushed me against the door. "Thank you for cheering me up today... What do you say we go out to a fancy restaurant for dinner tonight, Ms. L/N?"
"I'd be happy to go out with you tonight, Mr. Marner!"
