"Y/N, it's been 3 weeks since your ex broke up with you..." B/F/N groaned, trying to get me out of bed.
"Yeah, so what?" I scowled at her, pausing my current episode of "Melissa and Joey".
"Why don't we go on a double date with Derick and one of his teammates who is also single?" B/F/N winked, making me roll my eyes.
"Fine, if that's what'll keep you out of my business." I sighed, getting out of bed and smiled, making her squeal.
"Yay! I'll text Derick right now about the date, why don't you get ready?" B/F/N squealed, pushing me into the bathroom to get ready.
"Where are we going, B/F/N?"
"We are going to Chez Meritage."
"Ok, thanks, B/F/N!"
I closed the door in front of me, starting to get ready for the 'blind' date. For the makeup, I decided to go with a more natural and subtle look. I straightened and slightly curled my hair, giving it more of a beachy wave look. What I decided to wear for tonight was a royal blue dress that ended slightly above my knees by an inch with gold jewelry and black heels to pair with the dress.
I went downstairs to find B/F/N on her phone, looking up when I got off the last step.
"Dang, he is not going to stop talking about you tonight!" B/F/N smirked before she heard a car horn beep. "That'd be Derick, let's go!"
She grabbed my hand, gently dragging me out of the house. Derick opened the door via the auto-opener and I sat in the back next to a very cute man with ginger hair and blue eyes while B/F/N sat next to Derick in the passenger seat.
He left the driveway and we were currently on the road, due to the restaurant being about 20-30 minutes away.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I've introduced you two to each other! Y/N, this is one of the Rangers' goalies, Mackenzie Skapski. Mackenzie, this is my best friend, Y/N Y/L/N." She said from the front, looking at us through the rearview mirror.
"Nice to meet you, Mackenzie." I smiled while he was still sort of chuckling.
"Pleasure is all mine, Y/N. Wow, you look so beautiful tonight..." Mackenzie was speechless, shaking my hand before gently kissing it.
"Thank you! You look pretty handsome yourself, Mr. Skapski." I blushed, looking into his eyes before Derick interrupted.
"Save the flirting for later, Skapski and L/N!"
"And I'd have to say the same for you two, Brassard!" Mackenzie jokingly replied back, making Derick give him a playful glare.

"I had a fun time tonight. Thank you for the best first date." I smiled as Mackenzie walked me up to the door, holding my hand.
Mackenzie blushed for the umpteenth time, "You're pretty fun to be around with actually. Is it okay if I asked you for your number?"
"That would be perfectly fine with me, Mack." I kissed his cheek, giving him my phone to enter his number while I typed in my number in his phone."
"Would you like to go out on a second date with me, tomorrow evening?" He gave my phone back to me while I gave his back.
I nodded my head, biting my lip to avoid a smile before I heard B/F/N and Derick shout from the car.
"Just kiss her already!"
Mack had no problem, twirling me around and slightly dipped me, before he pressed his lips onto mine, giving me a sweet goodnight kiss. I got back up and kissed him again, waving goodbye to him and Derick, waiting for B/F/N to finish making out with Derick.

Mack and I were dating ever since that day for the past 3 years. He proposed to me in front of the team about a year ago, when they won the Stanley Cup. We decided to have our wedding day 3 years to the day we first went on our first date.
"Do you, Mackenzie Skapski, take Y/N to be your loving wife?" The officiant had asked him and he looked at me with his award-winning smile.
"I do."
"And do you, Y/N L/N, take Mackenzie to be your loving husband?" The officiant had asked me, while I was smiling back at Mack.
"I do."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride!"
Mackenzie replicated our first kiss together, making me smile at the memory, but he added a little twist. Before he kissed me, he said one little thing that definitely made me cry for sure as it was similar to our first conversation back in Derick's car.
"I love you, my beautiful wife, Mrs. Skapski."
"And I love you, my handsome husband, Mr. Skapski."

Jack
This is a story about a nineteen-year-old college freshman whose life is flipped completely upside-down when he meets a strange, yet very attractive young girl. Well... that’s a little bit misleading. It’s more along the lines of a mortally wounded goddess falling from the heavens, and smashing the hood of his car, but you get the general idea. In a modern society where monsters hide among humans and creatures of myth stalk an unusually gifted boy as he rapidly ascends in power, aided by the most destructive and least predictable force in this, or any universe. Blessed with the power of a deceased goddess, follow Jack’s rise to becoming the newest god of love.

Making a difference
Harry Potter FanFiction: Hannah Longbottom liked to watch the people who entered the Wizarding World via the small, walled courtyard behind the Leaky Cauldron for a reason: During her not so long life, she had learned about three different boys who had entered the Wizarding World alone, leaving behind a life so horrible she could barely imagine. One of them, who became a friend of hers, had gone through great hardships to become a hero, one of the greatest wizards the Wizarding World had ever seen. One of them, who had been her teacher, had become cold and bitter, and no one had ever recognized what amazing talents he could have offered, until it had been too late. One of them, the monster she had helped to fight during the Battle of Hogwarts, had become the most dreaded, most dangerous, and most deadly man Great Britain had ever seen, and yet it could have all been different, if someone had just tried to make that difference early enough in that life, if he had not boarded the train to Hogwarts all alone. Already posted at Devianart and AO3, I've included a link to RoyalRoad on my profiles there.
