I've been friends with the Robredo's for the longest time na. I can recall most of the happenings in their life, long time nga diba. Friends kasi si mom at si VP Leni, kaya ayon - where you lead I will follow silang dalawa.
Friends ko rin naman mga anak ni ma'am Leni, lalong lalo na si Jillian. Wala lang, we just hung out the most. Most of the time busy kasi yung mga ate niya, si ate Aika busy sa work niya, si Tricia naman busy sa pagiging doktor. Si Jill lang ang palaging kasama ni ma'am Leni, favourite rin kasi eh.
So ayon, if gusto ni mom makipag catch up ni ma'am Leni, edi si Jill lang palagi kong nakikita.
Pero different na ngayon, ever since the pandemic happened hindi na masyadong nagkikita si mom at VP. Medyo na fall apart rin kami nina ate Aika, Tricia, at Jill. Nag i-interact minsan sa socials pero most of the time, wala na talaga. May pa video call sila mom at VP minsan pero not all the time, tuwing nami-miss lang nila ang each other.
Oh diba parang mag jowa, choz. Hindi naman, may ka ano na si VP wag na nating galawin.

"y/n" tawag ni mom.
I got out of my room to go see mom outside, and to my surprise - talagang surprise na surprise. Nandito ang mga Robredo. Complete attendance pa, naks.
"ma'am Leni!" I said walking towards her with open arms. She hugged me back, warm hug pa. I let go then looked over sa side kung saan nakatayo ang tres marias ni ma'am Leni.
Ang ganda ni Tricia today ah, out of this world talaga.
"Jill!" she smiled opening her arms walking towards me to hug. "Ganda mo today vebs," I joked. "Dapat lang, ganyan talag basta Robredo"she smiled. I looked over to ate Aika and hugged her, then lastly kay Tricia.

"Hi doc, kumusta ka na," I said letting go. She looked at me smiling "doc ka diyan, si Trishy lang to" she smiled playfully hitting my shoulder.

Naalala ko tuloy na Trishy pala tawag ko sakanya. Ayaw ko kasi sa Tricia ang boring pati na din sa Patty.
"Matagal na tayong hindi nagkita ah, kamusta ka na Lens?" we look over to my mom and VP na nag-uusap. May binulong si VP kay mom, interesting siguro dahil napangiti siya eh. They realized we were looking at them and stopped. "y/n don muna kayo sa garden mag-usap nina Aika, Tricia, ay Jill. May private matters lang kaming pag-uusapan ni Leni." I nod turning over towards the girls.
"Tara," I gestured for them to follow me towards the garden.

"So for president na pala si tita," I start. Mga five minutes rin kaming hindi nag-usap dito. Ayaw siguro nila sa'kin. Ewan ko sa mga 'to.
"Oo, nakakatakot pero keri lang. Fighting!" sabi ni Tricia sabay may pasuntok na action.
haha ang cute - hoy gaga wag kang ganyan straight yan.
"y/n?" tawag ni ate Aika. Biglang nag-away ang kabaklaan at ang pagka-straight ko kay Tricia - Lord tulong.
"hoy y/n, pakigalaw ng baso" sabi ni Jill, sabay silang tumawa. "Ginalaw na po yung baso," sabi ko.
"So, y/n pano na ba yung planong trip natin sa Camiguin?" I raised my brow, anong trip sa Camiguin?
"Nakalimutan niya na siguro" sabi ni Tricia. "Yung planned trip natin, yung back-to-back-to-back mung plano," patawa niyang dinagdag. Bigla kung naalala yung drunk promise ko sa kanila na i-tour sila.
"Sa sunod na, campaign season na eh. Dapat full support kayo kay tita," I said. "Tutal, pag nag ca-campaign na kayo, lilibutin niyo naman ang pinas,"

"Iba talaga pag nandiyan ka, mas maganda pag may lasingera" Aika joked. "Lasingera nalang ba yung natatandaan mo sa'kin ate Aiks?" she laughed. "Hindi naman vebs, ikaw naman hindi ma keri yung joke," she stood up to sit next to me. Nasa gitna kasi siya ni Jill at Tricia.
"Na miss kana namin eh, mga two years na tayong hindi nagkita" she starts. "True, tapos magiging busy ka na sa pagiging model mo, may pahabol pang business owner" Jill added. "Model kana pala?" tanong ni Tricia.
"Maliit na gig lang naman paminsan minsan," I respond.
"Akala ko ba magdo-doktor tayong dalawa? ako sa Ortho ikaw sa Peds,"
"Ano tayo si Callie at Arizona? wag na tayo diyan, maghihiwalay rin tayo bhie" I joked.
"Hindi ako nagjo-joke y/n, nag med school tayong dalawa. Sabay pa nga tayo ng graduation, tapos promise mo magdo-doktor tayong dalawa. Ilang years ka nag med school tapos itatapon mo lang yung natuto mo nang ganyan? Akala ko ba partners in crime tayo, best friends nga diba. Si Jill lang pala best friend mo"
Luh bat nagalit?
"Sorry na. I know I promised, pero hindi ko kaya eh. I know I'm meant for better things naman Trishy. Siguro hindi lang sa pagiging doktor"
"Okay" bigla siyang tumayo at pumasok sa loob.
I looked over to Aika and Jill na parehong nagulat sa nangyari. "I'll talk to her" I said. "Wag na, sasabog na naman yun," Aika responded. "Kami na bahala" she rubbed my shoulder assuring me na they got it.
Biglang lumabas si VP sa bahay kasama si mom at si Tricia. Nakasimangot na si Tricia. "Sige, goodluck Lens. I assure you na kaya natin to, y/n and I - we have your back." she said. "Mangangampanya po ako para sa'yo ma'am Lens, wag mag-alala," I smiled.
Sumunod na si Aika at Jill kay VP at nag goodbye silang lahat except for Tricia. I looked over to mom after their van left. She looked at me pissed.
"Anong ginawa mo kay Tricia?" sabi ni mom.
"Wala naman akong ginawang masama, I just talked about my new jobs. Actually si ate Aika at Jill yung nag mention"

So here we start our story as ages have passed for a walled-off kingdom, hunted by a never-ending Nightmare. With a poor but deserving soul born into this world.
