《Is It Love? *Vkook Fanfic*》Chapter Fifteen

Jungkook POV
Its Sunday. Jimin went on another date with Hoseok earlier today. But he won't tell me where they went or what they did. At first I was very glad he found someone besides Yoongi, but he seems to avoid talking about Hoseok or their relationship at all. So I'm starting to question if he's really happy with their relationship. And he wont be around forever. He knows that, so why get so close and start dating someone when he wont be here for more than a year?
Anyway, Jimin is taking a shower right now. I'm still a little bummed about Taehyung but after talking with Jimin again yesterday after he came back from his date I have to admit I feel a lot better for some reason. Some times you just have to talk to someone you trust.
Yesterday he told me that I should talk and act with him like I used to when we were best friends. Then eventually things would go back to the way they were. It sounds like a good plan.
I told Jimin I was going to go on a walk to clear my head, so I left.
----
I walked around the park. It was nice and cool just like any other day. I was just about to head home when I passed by a bubble tea shop and went in.
"Hello! How may I help you?" The guy at the counter asked as soon as I walked in. He had a really bright smile, and I couldn't help but feel happier and more energetic as soon as I heard his voice.
"One bubble milk tea, please." I said as I walked up to him.
"Alright, that'll be...oh."
"What? What's wrong?" He stopped mid sentence and I felt his eyes and voice grow bigger and louder.
I looked up from the ground, that I don't usually do.
"Oh, its you. Jungkookie!"
"Hoseok?"
"How have you been? I haven't seen you for a while!"
"I'm fine." I knew I felt this bright sunshine aura somewhere before.
Wait...nows my chance to ask about Jimin. And Taehyung too, Hoseok seems to be close to him. But before I got the chance to mention either one, Hoseok asked me first.
"How's Jimin been doing?" He asked while getting my receipt.
At the time, I thought that he realized Jimin wasn't completely happy ever since their relationship started. I wanted to answer, but Jimin wouldn't really talk to me about it.
"You should know, you saw each other earlier this morning." I reminded him as I got my drink.
"What? No, I've been working since nine. I was just asking because he hasn't called recently."
"Really?" Jimin left at 10, so..."Well, thanks for the drink." I turned around and started to walk away when-
"Wait! Jungkook!"
"Yeah?" I turned back around. He walked toward me, leaving the cash register alone, which didn't matter since there weren't many people there anyway.
"Do you mind if I get your phone number? I'd like to know you more. I know it sounds weird but I feel like we're really awkward with each other." He laughed nervously. I laughed with him.

"Okay, sure..." He handed me his phone and I put my number in as he did the same to my phone. I finished putting the information in and we switched our phones again.
"I'll see you later!" He smiled brightly as I walked out.
-----
Jimin POV
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmm"
"W-what? You've been looking at me like that for the past 10 minutes."
"Jimin?" I gulped.
"Y-yeh?"
"Where were you earlier this morning?" Jungkook looked at me with squinting eyes and a hand on his chin.
"W-with Hoseok." Darn. My voice cracked.
Jungkook sighed and relaxed and rolled his shoulders. "Okay."
So he said, but did he really believe me? I hate having to lie to him, but it'll all end soon. Hopefully he and Taehyung will listen to my advice and start talking to each other again.
This has gone on long enough. I want to help them more, but if I interfere too much I know it won't end well. Besides, Jungkook has been getting suspicious of my "dates" with "Hoseok." So I don't think I can meet Taehyung anymore. But I should make sure Taehyung will take action. I have to meet him one more time. Just one more.
I'll just have to trust that they'll do the right thing for each other.
-----
Jungkook POV
Jimin left again. On another date. Or so he said. He mentioned this would be the last one. I'm still not sure if Jimin is cheating on Hoseok, even though I've been thinking that for a while but never chose to admit I thought of my friend as someone who would do that.
If he is cheating, and he's planning on breaking up with Hoseok for someone else...
No. He can't do that. Hoseok will be so hurt. He doesn't deserve that. But I can't confront Jimin about this, I still don't have proof.
But before anything bad happens to Hoseok, I have to stop it.
--
Third person POV
Jungkook quickly dialed Hoseok's number. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon..." He mumbled while the phone rung twice before he heard another voice on the line.
"Hello?"
"Hoseok! Um...where are you?" Jungkook tried his best to sound calm so he wouldn't panic Hoseok.
"Oh? I'm at home, why?"
"Are you with anyone right now? Like a friend or.."
Jimin, he wanted to say.
"No, I've been home alone all day since I got out of work. Why?" Hoseok chuckled, "Do you want to hang out? Or perhaps..."
"No! I mean no, I was just checking something. Its okay now, I'm hanging up!" Jungkook knew what Hoseok was about to suggest, our Jungkook is just much too innocent for this type of teasing.
"Wait!" Hoseok yelled before Jungkook had pressed the button to end their call. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable, I was just joking." He lightly laughed. He sounded very hurt, but hanging up on a call wasn't enough to get depressed over. Jungkook knew something else was bothering him.
"I'm fine, but...are you?"
"What?" He laughed again. "I'm fine, I'm great actually."
"Don't lie to me." Jungkook recognized this behavior, these words and depressed chuckles. It was like listening to himself talk back when things were worse with Taehyung. "Tell me...is it Jimin?" He sincerely asked.

A brief pause. "How...how did you know?" You could tell he was shaking.
"You...you brought him up when we met earlier so I thought... Plus he's been acting strange too."
"He has? What happened to him?"
"What do you mean?"
"He hasn't talked to me in a month. When I saw him at the park I tried to talk to him but seeing that he was with someone I didn't do it. So I haven't heard from him since that day. He looked so scared when he saw me... did I do something wrong? Is he mad?" Hoseok kept shaking.
"Who was with him that day? Can you tell me?"
"Ugh...I can't think...Taehyung? Is that it?" Now it seemed like Hoseok was barely crying.
What was he thinking all this time? How much does he care for Jimin and Taehyung to be reacting this way?
"Taehyung?" Now Jungkook started to shiver. "All this time...he's been with Taehyung ? What's... happening? Why did no one tell me this?" He muttered to himself.
Hoseok and Jimin haven't kept in touch for a month. So all those dates they went on together must've been a cover...for when he was meeting Taehyung...
"Do you..." He gulped. "Do you know where Taehyung is right now?"
"Sorry. After I saw them together I couldn't bring myself to talk to Taehyung either."
"Its okay, hyung..."
What was he going to do? Think, Jungkook! Where did Jimin say he was going..?
Why can't you think?!
"I have to go, I'll call you later I promise," he hung up.
Jimin...why did you lie?
He quickly got his phone and looked for Taehyung's name in his contacts list.
He found the contact written as Jungkook pressed the text message button and shut his eyes tightly before pressing send.
-----
Jimin POV
"I said no!"
"C'mon, don't be like that!" I told Taehyung. "If you like him you should talk to him!"
"I...can't. Why can't I just wait until he calls first? You told him to talk to me too, right?"
"Of course I did, but you can't expect him to make the first move. I mean, have you met him?"
"Its just that-" Tae's phone vibrated. He took it out of his pocket and I saw the bright screen light up on his face, it was starting to get a bit dark by then.
Tae's hand shook a bit and his face looked shocked before slowly turning happy.
"What? What is it?" I scooted closer to him on the park bench before he wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug.
I laughed, "What are you doing?"
"Thank you," he muttered next to my ear.
"Umm, you're welcome?" I laughed again as he let go. "But...uh...what did I do?"
He turned his lock screen to me and I saw that he had received one new message from which I assumed was Jungkook.
I sighed happily. "Congratulations, looks like he did make the first move after all. What did he say?"
"I haven't opened the message yet..." he said as he unlocked his phone. The grin on his face grew whiter. "He asked me where I was." He smiled the widest. I'm glad he's happy.
"Don't tell him you're with me," I told him.
"You think I don't know that? If he catches us together it'll end up bad..."
What to do...
"I got it!"
"What?"
"Go home and then text him. So he won't suspect that we're together."
"Okay," he stood up and grabbed his backpack. "Thank you again, Jimin."
"Don't thank me till its all over."
"Alright, I better leave then!" Hr said as he took off running in the direction if his house.
I sighed and walked toward Jungkook's house. Or...could I call it my house now?
--
I got home and walked upstairs. When I opened the bedroom door the first thing I saw was an angry Jungkook staring at me with a look of slight disappointment.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked as I put my bag on the floor.
"I talked to Hoseok."
I gulped. Crap, did he find out? I already feel bad about bringing Hoseok into this...what did they talk about?!
"You did? What did you talk about?" I smiled, trying to not let him see that I was nervous.
"That you two aren't dating."
My heart beat faster, but I can't deny anything anymore or else I might make it worse.
I gave up. "I'm sorry."
"Why did you lie? What is it that you've been doing at this time and you had to lie to me about it?" Jungkook screamed and I could see small drops of tears forming in his eyes.
You can't keep this any longer. You have to let him. He has to know. No more lies.
I straightened up and looked him in the eye. "I've been meeting Taehyung."
"What?" He said quietly. A look of disbelief and betrayal portrayed in his eyes. "Why?"
"Jungkook, -"
Before I could finish, his phone rang signifying a new text message.
He picked up his phone and read the message with angry eyes. I could already tell who it was from.
His gaze softened but his scowl remained. He put his phone away.
"Why? Why didn't you at least tell me?"
"We knew you'd misunderstand..."
"We? Taehyung was in on it too?"
"Yes but-"
"But what?" Tears poured down his face and his eyes were red and puffy.
I stepped back. "I think you need to hear that from him."
Yes... You've intervened enough. Let them fix the rest on their own...
"No! Answer me!"
"No." I said sternly. "You have to go to him."
"I won't! Not until you tell me what's been going on!"
"Go to him."
"Listen to me! I said I'm not going!"
"No! You listen to me!" I could tell he was surprised that I raised my voice. He almost looked scared. I mumbled a quick sorry before I kept talking.
"Jungkook, I know you actually miss Taehyung. A lot . You want to go him. So go."
"Just tell me what you two were doing together!"
"I know you'd rather hear it from him. He'll explain. I promise."
A bit of silence.
"Fine."
