《Finding Love In Paradise || Vkook》Chapter 19

My eyes widened. Did he just confess? Is this real?
He chuckled at my reaction and grabbed my hand. I was beyond shocked. Just when I thought I couldn't be more surprised, he looked at me and winked.
He continued.
My knees felt like jelly and my heart fluttered. It reminded me of the time we went to Sea Life Park. Is my Taehyung coming back?
We exited the elevator and left the hotel. No one knew who we were but we did receive a lot of awkward stares from people.
I felt nervous and scared. I feel uncomfortable when people look at me like I'm a weirdo, but I wasn't ashamed. If anything, I'm glad that I'm walking with the man I love.
Taehyung seemed to notice my nervousness. He gave my hand a quick squeeze, getting my attention.
He asked worriedly.
I shook my head. " Curse my stuttering.
He laughed and released my hand, but I quickly grabbed it again.
I protested,
He released my hand again and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
He asked.
I looked around and no one seemed to care. I nodded, sighing in relief.
He smiled down at me and I looked away to hide my blushing face.
We met a Korean couple who insisted that we have lunch at Duke's Restaurant. They gave us directions and we successfully found it.
When we arrived, the lady led us to our table with a view of the ocean. The menus were in different languages, including Korean. After ordering our meals, she gave us our drinks.
I looked out towards the ocean. I said, staring in awe.
My heart skipped a beat. I looked down and played with the napkin on my lap.
Although I wasn't looking directly at him, I could see him smirking at me.
I yelled loud enough for only him to hear me.
He raised an eyebrow.
I glared.
He laughed, leaning back into his chair.
I pouted, earning a small chuckle from my hyung.
He teased.
I rolled my eyes. Our waitress came back with our food. It was surprisingly fast.
I started to chow down my food. Taehyung watched me, ignoring his meal in front of him.
I finally looked up, wiping my face with my napkin.
I sneered.
He smiled, leaning closer to me. I felt my face heat up as we wiped away the ketchup from my cheek and lick his thumb.
He smirked.
I picked up a chip from his plate and ate it.
He scolded.
I stole another one that was coated with cheese and wiggled it in front of his face. I popped it into my mouth.
He reached over the table and stole one of my fries.
I yelled.
He chewed it slowly, teasing me. The waitress came back with refills, giggling at us.
She smiled.
I blushed and continued to eat, hiding my face with embarrassment.
Taehyung smiled back.
She said, putting the bill onto the table.
We nodded and she walked away.
Taehyung insisted, reaching for the bill.

I said pulling it away from him.
He glared at me.
I stuck out my tongue at him. We finished our meals and payed the bill. I took his hand and he looked down at me confused.
I smiled.
People continued to give us weird looks, but I learned to ignore it. Taehyung walked like no one was staring at us. If he doesn't care, then neither should I.
We stopped at a nearby ice cream shop. Taehyung paid for it this time.
He said pulling out the wallet filled with cash.
I questioned.
He shook his head.
He was right, but it still felt like I was walking with a stranger at times. How can he be so nonchalant about it?
We walked down to the Waikiki Wall, where body boarders would jump off and into the water, then paddle out to the breaking waves.
We sat at the edge with our feets dangling, watching the waves slap against the wall.
He hummed in response as he was licking his ice cream.
I asked.
He paused and looked over at me. I licked my ice cream to distract myself from the beautiful creature observing me.
I nodded, still engulfing my ice cream.
He explained.
I stopped licking the ice cream and looked at him.
I asked.
My eyes widened. I nearly dropped my ice cream when he told me that. I gasped.
He laughed hysterically.
I pouted and nudged him.
I turned away from him, looking else where. I felt hands wrap around my waist. I shivered and turned my head to see him rested on my shoulder.
He whispered into my ear.
I let my head rest onto his. I bit my lip at my sudden confessession.
I regreted it instantly when I suddenly felt the warmness disappear as he pulled away from me. I looked at him confused. His eyes were saddened.
I asked stupidly.
He admitted, continuing to eat his ice cream.
He stopped.
Pain shot through my chest. Where is this going?
We both finished our ice creams and stared into the distance.
He held up the shark tooth necklace that was around his neck.
I nodded. I turned to him and smiled.
He sighed.
I nodded slowly.
He looked down at his feet, watching as the ocean water splashed it while the wave slammed against the wall. After what seemed like a lifetime, he nodded.
I gasped on the inside, but I saw it coming.
He nodded again.
Tears poured out from his eyes.
I couldn't take this anymore. I stood up but he grabbed my hand.
I turned to him and forced a smile.
I lied.
He nodded his head and we walked back. We continued to hold hands but it didn't feel the same.
It's like walking with your boyfriend and knowing he loves someone else. It's the worst feeling in the world.
.
.
.
We arrived at the hotel and exited the elevator. When we came out, Jhope exited the elevator beside us.
Taehyung raised a brow.

He smiled brightly at us.
Jhope was carrying a bouquet of flowers and chocolate.
I asked.
He smiled shyly and smelt the flowers.
He answered.
Taehyung asked.
I took that as my cue to leave.
I waved goodbye and closed the door behind me. I plopped onto my bed, face in the pillow and cried my eyes out.
I cried out into my pillow.
I grabbed my phone and scrolled through our pictures together. Back when we were happy. Back when he protected me from getting hurt. Now the memory of us haunts me. Who knew that my perfect dream could be my worse nightmare.
I stopped at one picture. This was the day I wanted to pack up and leave. I wanted to give up on my dream as a singer because I was frustrated and homesick. . The day he didn't give up on me and encouraged me to stay. This was the day I fell in love with Taehyung.
I smiled, thumb rubbing against the screen.
----------------------------------------
Jungkook left to his room and I was finally alone with Jhope. I sighed at the sight of him walking away.
Jhope questioned.
I coughed and cleared my throat.
He shrugged.
I frowned.
His eyes drifted around the room until he figured out what I was asking.
He shook his head.
I looked up in confusement.
I nodded.
He sighed. "
I frowned.
I pondered the question.
Jhope asked another question.
I sighed.
Jhope smiled. He giggled.
I gasped.
He nodded.
I hugged him, saying but he pushed away.
He fixed the petals that had been crushed between us.
I laughed.
Jhope smiled.
He nodded giggling.
I growled at the idea. I must have looked pretty angry because Jhope started laughing at me.
He nudged me.
I thought about that.
He laughed.
I retorted.
He ruffled my hair and pushed me to my door.
I stopped him.
He shook his head.
Now I look stupid.
I opened the door and found Jungkook sitting on the table on with his laptop.
He looked at me with red eyes.
I nodded, observing his face.
He shook his head.
I know he's lying. I'm sure I'm the reason why he's in so much pain.
Jungkook asked, scrolling through the lyrics folder.
I learned it faster than I expected. Jungkook seemed a little surprise too. Jin came in and told us were having dinner soon.
As I waited for Jungkook to finish showering, I laid on my bed and played with my phone, staring at the locked screen.
Should I accept my feelings for Jungkook or not? What if I'm not able to love him the way that I use to? What if I'm never able to remember him?
Absentmindedly, I typed into my phone. Suddenly, my phone unlocked and my jaw dropped in shock.
There, on the home screen, was a picture of Jungkook and I kissing. We were on the balcony with the sunset behind us.
I remember this.
It was right after Jungkook and I fought about how jealous I was with him and Jimin being together and he was jealous of Jhope. He told me about how I never gave up on him and how he will never give up on me.
I smiled brightly at him and kissed him passionately. I pulled away to take a photo of us, and he gave me a peck on the lips. That's when I snapped the picture.
After we finished apologizing, the storm clouds rolled in. We headed back inside and then-
My train of thought was caught off when I heard Jungkook call out to me that it was my turn to get ready.
We got dressed and met the others in the lobby. We ate at a buffet restaurant surrounded by a Japanese garden style scenery.
I finished sooner than the others and excused myself. I walked out into the garden like area with the miniature waterfall.
I looked over the rail, watching the fish swim around.
Someone yelled, grabbing onto me and shaking me as if I was going to fall in.
I yelled back, hitting the person behind me.
It was Jimin.
"He laughed.
" I pouted.
He teased.
We found a bench on the side and sat beside each other.
I rolled my eyes. " I questioned.
He smirked.
I glared at him.
He smiled and leaned onto me.
I smiled to myself.
He shrugged.
I furrowed my eyebrows.
He pushed him lightly. I apologized.
Jimin giggled.
I smiled. I teased.
Jimin and I talked a while. I asked him what the rash was on his arm and he told me about the prank Jhope pulled on him, saying it was from a fan. We laughed about some past memeories i was able to remember before he headed back to mess with Jhope.
I walked over to the waterfall and observed the water trickle down.
Someone yelled.
I jumped, almost falling over.
I turned to see Jungkook standing in front of me.
I looked down shyly.
He questioned.
Jungkook nodded and handed me something.
He looked at me smiling,
I laughed.
Jungkook nodded. He split the fish food, distributing it into our hands.
We watched as the coy fish flopped around, fighting for the food. We then heard a loud pitched screech and turned to see Jin gripping onto Namjoon.
Jin scolded.
Suga was catching one of the smaller fishes and trying to throw it at Jin who was climbing onto Namjoon.
Namjoon yelled.
We exchanged shocked expressions.
Jin didn't have anytime to explain, as Suga finally caught a smaller fish and tossed it onto Jin.
The fish hit the older's back causing him to freak out.
He scolded hitting him on the chest.
Rapmon yelled back.
Suga turned to see Jhope and Jimin standing nearby.
They both yelled and escaped back into the restaurant.
uga frowned and headed to the bathroom to wash his hands.
I pulled Jungkook away from the others and towards the waterfall.
He looked at me, confused.

System Change
Years ago, Earth was indoctrinated into the "System." Earth was not the only place with the System, however. With the System came the other races, Invaders. The Invaders had one goal, to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. This created a bloodbath, and for years the war raged. This didn't really have much to do with Derek. Derek was kind of a loner. Yeah, he enjoyed the occasional chat or drink with others, but he never stayed in one place too long or really got to know anybody new. Derek did happen to be rather strong. After the years of fighting monster and Invaders alone, he had become quite adept at surviving. One thing that helped keep him alive was his refusal to get involved with others. He rarely cooperated with teams. One day, Derek broke his rules and decided to lend some help, as the mission didn't seem too hard. He should have stuck to being alone. Hey everyone, this is my fiction, "System Change." It's the first time I've really tried to write a serial. All feedback is really appreciated. I plan to release chapters every Tuesday and Thursday. With occasional extra chapters being released.
