《Book reviews *Requests Closed*》'The Forgotten Few: Deadly Sin' by lunaticthegame

This story is about children with special abilities, referred to as 'Abnormals'. Hidden by the government some of them are split into four factions. This has worked for decades… but then all goes to hell.

In terms of plot, I haven't seen anything that truly stood out so far. Children with superpowers and factions are both things I've seen before, and the story isn't long enough yet to show the plot is going in an original direction. I also found the whole thing quite hard to follow. A lot of characters are introduced rather fast and many things happen in very few chapters, while we still don't know much about the ins and outs of this world. There's room for development there; I'd like to see more of the world that's being built and what it has to offer, in order to better understand what exactly it is that I'm reading. There are so many interesting ways to go with this, so use them!

The characters are, in my opinion, written in a way that can make them look slightly archetypal (example: Evan and his hot-headed 'I need to be the most powerful' fighter attitude), but I do have to say they do differ from each other. There's a distinct atmosphere to every one of them, which is a good start in terms of development. These guys need some more time to truly show what they're made of, but they are promising, I'll give you that.

The GPS is sort of decent, but I found that especially the first chapter contained many typos and the like. I would recommend editing at least that chapter, but revising the rest too would be a good idea as well. It will make the story easier to read and make it look more professional.

Lastly, I can feel the anime-esque vibe the author is going for, which is nice. The fight scenes are very decent, and the characters and their behaviour also seems to be influenced by anime. It's really cool to see the feeling of a tv-show/anime caught in a book, so kudos to that!
