'Bad Girl's Philosophy' is about Clara, who was a victim of human trafficking before being saved by her boyfriend Stefan. However, Stefan turns out to be an abusive son of a bitch; he makes Clara do street boxing and then takes all the money she earns so he can buy alcohol, among many other things.

Can Clara ever escape that predicament?

The answer is both yes and no.

The plot was interesting enough, though it's always risky to write about abusive relationships on Wattpad. It has been done before, has almost become a cliché, but I thought the idea in itself was decent enough, especially with the shocking ending. I did, however, have some problems with the occasional lack of foreshadowing; certain explanations about motivations, such as why Clara stays with Stefan, feel a little late and out of the blue. With some more subtle foreshadowing, that problem can be fixed easily.

Which brings me to an important thing I'd like to bring up: details. In my personal opinion, details are among the most important ingredients for a story. It's the tiny, seemingly insignificant details that show us who a character is and how their world works. I miss many of those. For example, at the start of the book, when Clara has a boxing match, the entire match is kind of… left out. Don't skip that kind of stuff! Show us the match (don't tell, forget that for a bit, don't tell me anything), and through that, show us the character, the thoughts and feelings, the true colours. I get that there might be a fear of getting things wrong, but with enough research, it'll turn out fine! Just try! An eagerness to learn is always good in a writer.

The characters are decent, though like I said before, they might make a more lasting impression if there's more showing instead of telling. The only two characters I had a problem with Stefan; I mean, I was supposed to have a problem with him, he was a monster, but that was just the thing: he was too much of a monster.

There are many awful people in the world, bit hear me out. I'll take Adolf Hitler as an example. He was responsible for the deaths of millions; quite a monster, like Stefan, you'd say. But in the end, he was also human: he loved dogs and children. Even that guy was more than just a killing machine; he was a human, terrible as he might've been. I'd like to see Stefan's human side more, instead of just his awful shitbag psycho mode. It will give him more depth, and with more depth, he will be more terrifying, a more believable villain. So yeah, give him some 'good' traits too.

Lastly, the GPS. This book needs some major editing on that subject, because it's kind of confusing to read the way it is now, but I do believe that's being worked on. I don't feel the need to dive deep into this subject today.

So yeah. A bit of a fixer-upper, but with some editing, it could be something!
