《Book reviews *Requests Closed*》'The Feeling Underneath' by Gigi_washere

This story is kind of a special case, because only one chapter is actually posted. The author was friendly enough to send me their drafts/chapters, so I've read more than the rest of Wattpad is able to at the moment. It's a shame not everything is published, though, 'cause it's been a while since I've reviewed a story as good as this one.

'The Feeling Underneath' follows Two-Sixty-Eight, also known as 'Caesar'. He's an AH, an artificial human; he was created in a lab, and, like the others like him, he possesses a Fore-Light, a special power. However, life is far but easy for him. He's often treated as an object rather than a human, and the training he has to undergo is harsh. We follow Two-Sixty as he tries to make sense of the peculiar life he's been 'born' in.

At first I felt like this was going to be just another dystopian revolution novel, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've seen a solid plot slowly build up, and the amount of detail I've seen is remarkable. The author manages to build a very convincing world, allowing the concept of artificial humans with powers to truly become theirs.

The characters are well-written, feel real, and have genuine interactions with eachother. I was especially interested in how well the beginning stages of AH life were written, and Joseph's relationship with Two-Sixty adds a great touch of realism and touching melancholy to the story.

Aside from a few minor mistakes, the GPS is amazing. The story is easy to read and I founs the author to possess a pleasant style!

I'd recommend giving this story a try when more chapters are up!
