《Book reviews *Requests Closed*》'And Then There Were None' by may_bornmia

Well, I think I'm quite familiar with BTS fanfics now. I've lost count of the amount of stories I've reviewed about that band. Nevertheless, I still wasn't ready for this story.
To put it bluntly, 'And Then There Were None' is about the end of BTS. The tragic death of band member Taehyung sets an unfortunate series of events in motion for the group, and it results in their inevitable downfall. First there were seven, and then there were none.
This is a rather serious story with many potential triggers, especially suicide. I thought the plot was interesting, though it does get repetitive. I thought the title spoiled the ending a little, but I also really liked the title, so that's fine. An interesting concept, though not for the faint of heart. It could only use a little more variation, and everything happened quite fast.
I can't say if the characters were in character, because I don't know BTS that well and they're, like…. Real human beings.
The GPS is perfectly fine and I really liked the writing style. It was very simple and to the point, but it did the job well, and there were quite a few emotional, memorable quotes in there.
Speaking of emotions, I'd also like to mention that the story manages to capture the sad mood and setting it's going for. It's sure to mess with your feelings, even if you're not that much of a BTS-fan.
Lastly, the opening. I thought it was very strong, right into the story and raising a lot of questions to keep us interested. While I've said before that everything happened fast, I do think it's a good pace for this story, especially since the reader already knows how the tragedy will end. The story doesn't get boring and is a short read, but certainly one that leaves an impression.

Tanka and Haiku
Overview TankaThe tanka poem is very similar to haiku but tanka poems have more syllables and it uses simile, metaphor and personifacation. There are five lines in a Tanka poem. Tanka poems are written about nature, seasons, love, sadness and other strong emotions. This form of poetry dates back almost 1200 years ago.HaikuHaiku poetry hails from Japan and uses strict syllable guidelines rather than focusing on meter or rhyme. Because the poem is short only three lines with 17 total syllables writers must choose words carefully to create meaning. Haiku poetry is typically simplistic, but its meaning can have great depth.
