《Book reviews *Requests Closed*》'The Secret Life of Bridget Renelds' by kayla97ss

The secret life of Bridget Renelds is about Bridgey Renelds (obviously), a rich girl torn between keeping up her perfect reputation and undermining her family's glamorous facade. Basically, a rich girl with two sides. The book attempts to give us a sneak peak into the… rich lives of the rich (pun intended).

The plot is another cookie-cutter, a dime in a dozen plot. Really, I'm not even going to detail why. This book alone contains a dozen reviews of books about rich girls who are unhappy with their privilege and have damn annoying parents.

The characters, however, are done right in this book. Characters in these kind of plots are almost always written badly; shallow idiots, annoying, not in the slightest bit relatable. The difference between those stories and this one, are that in this story, I feel like the characters are supposed to be shallow. They're rich, they're supposed to be empty and bitchy. This is one of the few stories with shallow characters that work. They're given enough actual personality to be likable, and I respect how well they're written.

The GPS is perfectly fine, minor editing here or there, but for the most part, keep up the good work!

A final thing I like is the story's sense of humour. I believe the author has nailed 'writing funny', resulting in funny descriptions and dialogue subtlely appearing in the story without becoming too obvious. Well done! I can always appreciate humour in a story!
