《Book reviews *Requests Closed*》'Wings' by SlytherLiz

This story might be pretty... hard to handle for the weaker people among us. I'm sorry, that's just how it is. Not everyone will enjoy this story and- and-
...That's so sad Alexa play Despacito
Aight, time to cut the crap. What I just did is called 'memeing with the tools you're given': I used the main characters name for this awful intro. It would be very nice if the readers listened to Despacito while reading this, but I won't force you.
So this story is about Alexa and Alexander, two Alexes. They live in a world where people have wings, the size and amount of feathers showing how loved you are. Alexander's wings are huge. Alexa's are nonexistent. However, not everything is as it seems. Can they fix each other?
I really like the plot and story set up. It's original and an interesting take on a fascinating concept. I also like how it doesn't shy away from showing the ugly things in the world, for example: abusive relationships. Not everything is always fun and games, not even in FictionLand.
The characters are also well-developed and realistic. They are people, experiencing both good and bad things. It's fun to see how their relationships progress and how they interact with each other. Plus, bisexual main character who isn't wattpad's standard cliché beauty.
The GPS is pretty much perfect. I wouldn't waste a lot of time on editing.
A word of warning: this story does contain triggers such as rape, abuse, etc. Just putting it out there in case someone considers reading this (which you should, if you can handle it). I won't go into details; the author dedicated the first chapter to list most of the triggers, so take a look at that. Thus, bonus points to SlytherLiz for taking her readers into consideration.
Rating: 9! (If you're nice to me, I might give you some bonus points for allowing me to meme with your protagonist)

8 196The Sorcerer's Apprentice
A world where magic must be hidden from mankind is a world where mages have no reason to exist. Zara was one of them--a young woman forced to spend her days in confinement, to lessen the risks of outsiders discovering the truth. She was not human. She was, as they say, a living embodiment of a thousand year old curse upon the Kingdom and humanity as a whole. And the only way to handle a curse is to get rid of it--which is precisely what the Kingdom had been doing for centuries--eliminating any being that contained even an ounce of enchanted blood. Zara has lived most of her life with the threat of death hanging over her head, though it never averted her heightening curiosity about magic, nor the abilities innate within her. And when a powerful, enigmatic Sorcerer comes to her with a proposition, Zara finally sees her chance to embrace the curse she was born with. It was a chance laced with precarity and destruction, but a chance nonetheless...
