《Book reviews *Requests Closed*》'In the Midst of Darkness' by SoaringBibliophile

In the Midst of Darkness is a collection of stories. Written by SoaringBibliophile, the stories all depict woman overcoming the hardships in life. So it's rather feminist-oriented (not that that's a bad thing).
So far, there is one completed story and one unfinished story. Story #1 is about an indian girl who aspires to be a doctor, but has to deal with her family's sexism. The second one is about a girl who gets raped. Wow, that is a crude way to say it, but it is what it is.
I like the idea behind this story. It's obviously written with a goal, to make woman feel better about themselves and to raise awareness of issues surrounding gender equality. The plots for the two stories I've seen so far aren't bad either.
The characters are well-developed and have realistic, human feelings. It's also good that not all men are portrayed as sexist scumbags; some feminists go as far as to want superiority over men, but this obviously wants to show equality.
The GPS is good, doesn't need editing.
One thing: I advise putting the meanings of the hindi words at the beginning of the chapter instead of at the end. It's not really an issue and maybe I'm just weird, but I'd understand the story a little better if I knew the meaning of the words before reading.
