From all the stories I've reviewed so far, this one might be my favourite. It's great. It really is. It's one of my favourite kind of stories: It's dark, mysterious, and it's funny.

Our main character is Chris Greene, a pessimistic guy living in London with his twin Ashley. He's a nurse and DEFINITELY NOT GAY.

So anyway, one day he gets dragged to a bar with a straight-up crappy name, cat'ndog, and the beer there is even crappier. He meets Kate there. Kate can be described as a whacko nutjob, or is there something else with her?

And then the murders and weird paranormal scheiße start to happen. Like I said, my kind of story.

I love the characters, really. They're funny and diverse and great. There are also LGBT+ characters, and I don't see that a lot in original fiction (fanfiction, yes, but not original fiction).

The story starts getting weirder when Kate really enters, but the first chapters weren't boring to me, mainly because of humour. Heck, there were no boring chapters in my opinion.

Grammar and spelling is fine. There are not a lot of those really elaborate descriptions you can expect from books, but the story is written in first person, and first person rarely has that, so it doesn't matter that much.

There is a thing about hyphens though: before almost every line of dialogue starts, there's a - . This can be annoying, but it says in the first Author's note that it was already pointed out and that it will be changed. On this topic, no further complains.

Final warning: the book deals with topics such as self harm, suicide, etc. There's a trigger warning in the description, but I thought I'd mention it too.
