《The Secrets of The Reverence Pack》Chapter 59: Welcome Home

The feeling was incredible. It was as if all the weight of the world was lifted off from him, while all the Reverence Pack went under his control. Through the mind link, not only was he brought back into his pack, he was put into power right then. The pack was buzzing: some afraid of what was to happen, most happy that it was finally over.

It was finally over.

Shiro looked into those orange eyes. The one who had helped him get this far. Who had helped him train for this moment and had planned with him. Their bond was as strong as could be. It was a strange pairing, possibly the only one of it's kind. But the look on Jett's face when he told him congratulations was pure happiness for him.

There was still so much to do and plan. He allowed his power to wash over the pack. A good chunk of them knew what was going to happen next. But most of them had no clue. They just watched him in anticipation, wondering what was going to happen.

He had pried the Alpha sword out of the hand that he had cut off from Sakdah. He used both swords when he killed him, getting revenge for both his mother and his grandfather. Both of them could be at peace now.

He looked at Hiroko. She had burn marks from the silver, but none from the fire that they were trying to burn her with. She stood tall and proud as she waited for him to make the first move. Shiro took the Alpha symbol off from Sakdah and replaced the Luna necklace that he had on with it instead. While doing so, he sheathed both swords under the bright moonlight. The Spirit of the Moon was happy, even though the night was close to ending. She praised him with her bright light.

Shiro sheathed the sapphire blade that was his mothers, then he walked up to his sister. As soon as he started walking, the rest of the pack moved to give him space. They all knew the true strength of their new Alpha. And he was sure that they would never forget it.

"Hiroko," he came up to her with the Luna sword in his hands. "An Alpha is nothing without a Luna to help guide the people. As Alpha of the Reverence Pack, I ask you to help lead beside me as my Luna." He knelt a little and presented the sword to her. She had done the same to him not too long before all of this.

Smiling, Hiroko took the sword from him and swung it over her back, the Luna symbol shining on her chest proudly, as if it were meant to be there. It glimmered in the moonlight.

"I accept your request," she said. Tears glimmered in her eyes. "May our reign be long and peaceful. And our people stronger than ever before."

The pack soon began to cheer as they turned to them. Then, afterwards, Hiroko hugged him as tightly as she ever had before.

"You did it, Shiro," she cried in his ear. "You actually did it!"

"No, Hiroko," Shiro moved her away so that he could look at her. "We did it."

He wouldn't have been able to do any of this by himself. All of this was only made possible by the ones who had trusted him and helped him. The ones who worked tirelessly with him in order to get to this moment right there. For five long years they had done nothing but work. Now it was finally time to rest.

"There's still one last thing to do," he turned to the crowd. "Accompany me to the front of the house. We will have visitors very soon."

All of them did as they were told, moving quickly and silently. Shiro looked at Jett and almost laughed.

"You're putting some clothes on before, though," he mind linked with him. Jett looked down, seeming to forget that he was naked, and then laughed.

"Whatever you say, Prince," he walked into the house where they would have something for him to throw on. Shiro couldn't help but smile at the nickname. He had missed him that day. They still had to figure out how they would be able to sleep without each other. But he would save that for another time.

"Are you going to be able to come with, Hiroko?" Shiro asked his sister. She looked to be in bad shape with all the burns that adorned her.

"I can heal from this," she nodded. "Don't worry too much for me, Shiro. I wouldn't miss this for the world."

He was still worried, but he nodded his reply to her. Together, they made their way to the front of the house. The pack finally had an official Luna, and he could already feel the sigh of relief that they all had. It had been too long since they did, and the strain put on so many people because of it only caused more tension in the pack.

Jett didn't take too long finding something to wear. Shiro sent Nikita after him to help guide him. He was always good at finding clothes that would fit the person he was helping. Shiro allowed him and his warriors to accompany them as long as they stayed in the back. Knowing how things had happened, he was sure that Alex would be with Geo at this point as well. With Hiroko here, he could only hope that everything went well with the people that he was supposed to see that night.

They just started to show themselves around the corner of the street. There timing was absolutely perfect. The Reverence Pack was confused as to who these people were, wondering what was going on and what was to happen. Shiro assured them through the mind link that everything would be alright. They would see what was to happen when they arrived.

Geo was in front, leading all of them. Jin and Miki were right next to him. Jin looked worried and stressed. But, as soon as he saw Hiroko when they got close enough, he saw those eyes soften out of relief. Shiro was happy to see them all again. After everything that happened during the time that they were apart, it seemed like it had been so long ago that he had seen them last. Finally, they all stopped in front of him, their eyes shining with pride and happiness. Seeing their leader there was proof that he had won. It was proof that their hiding was over.

"The Reverence Pack has undergone much in the five-year reign of Sakdah," Shiro looked to his people. "During this time, many deaths as well. Instead of growing our pack, Sakdah weakened it. Killing our people, destroying our families, and causing fear instead of love." Then he turned to the people who were still cloaked. "I ask the people of Mercy Waters to lower your hood. The time for hiding is over."

They all lowered their hoods, the moonlight shining on them her blessings. Everyone gasped as they saw the faces that they all recognized. People young and old with whom they thought were dead from the Black Skies Ceremony. Some people in the pack knew about Mercy Waters. Some children knew that they might have to join them when they reached of age, and some of the guards who watched over the prisoners had helped aid Shiro in their escape from their cells. But the majority had no idea that they were still alive.

"After five long years of hiding," Shiro said. "I invite the people of Mercy Waters back into the welcome arms of the Reverence Pack. You have left your fingerprints on my chest so that I can avenge you, and after so long of waiting, it has finally been sought."

One by one, the people came up to him, gaining acceptance back to the home that Sakdah had kicked them out of. Shiro said their true names as each one bowed to him. He hadn't changed his clothing, or even put on his cape again. He did not clean the blood off from him. It was a mixture of his own and his enemy's. It was to prove that he had truly won. The ink on his skin was still there as well, glowing in the moonlight as the ones who made them were brought home.

It was done from the oldest members of Mercy Waters to the most recent. The ones who had stayed with him the whole time had even started families of their own in the city, under a completely new identity. But even they wished to finally come home. Shiro was happy to finally have them all under the mind link of the Reverence Pack.

There were some other guests who had accompanied Mercy Waters. Alex stayed by Geo's side the whole time that it was happening. The other warriors had moved over to where Jett was with his men. The most familiar face, however, was Detective Jim. The old man was in utter shock as he listened to all the names that Shiro was announcing.

It wasn't until he got to the last few that he saw the cage. It was made to capture the Black Cloaks that were going to come. They had gotten quite a few. They all trembled under Shiro's gaze. For he knew who they were even without seeing their faces. But the most important one of them all was the Beta that had seemed to disappear when Shiro was fighting his father.

"Let him out," Shiro ordered.

"Uh, no offense, Shiro," Alex said. "But he's good and mad right now."

"He won't harm me," Shiro told him. "He won't harm anyone."

"That's an order, Kenji." He mind linked with him, allowing his own Alpha aura to come out. Kenji trembled under the full force of his gaze. But he did as he wished. He walked out of the cage and went up to him.

"What happened?" Shiro asked Geo. He had been leading the group with Hiroko.

"He leaded the Black Cloaks," Geo told him. "They were trying to grab me and Hiroko because we were leading Mercy Waters."

Shiro frowned and stared at Kenji. Looking in his eyes told him all the answers that he needed to know. The man that had always tried to look so tough, now looked absolutely terrified. He knew what had happened now that Shiro was Alpha. He knew that the one that he had been faithful to his whole life now lie dead.

"It wasn't because of you leading Mercy Waters," Shiro said. "It was to distract me while I was in battle, so as to diminish my chances of gaining leadership. Isn't that right, Kenji?"

Kenji said nothing. He just looked down.

"Answer the question," Shiro demanded. "I am your Alpha now, Kenji."

"Y-yes," he struggled to find the words. "That was the plan."

"Your plan didn't work," Shiro told him. "You were a fool for being so loyal to a man who did not care about you."

"But-!"

"Sakdah only cared for himself," Shiro interrupted him. "All he cared about was power for himself. If you had died in your endeavor to capture my sister or best friend, he would not have cared."

Kenji stayed silent at that. He knew deep down that it was true. Shiro could see that in the man. There was no redemption for him, though. Shiro knew every sin that he ever committed. He knew exactly what was to happen.

Shiro looked to Geo. Those light brown eyes held so many emotions in them. Sadness, pain. All of it was shown to him like an open book. He wished he could comfort his friend. But this was all that he could do.

"As his direct family, as well as my Beta," Shiro said. "You have the right to ask for mercy for him, if you so wish." He knew that Geo had mixed emotions when it came to his father. As much as he had done wrong, Geo had struggled with his family life due to how much he still tried to love him. Shiro watched as his best friend fought his own inner battle with himself, trying to find an answer deep within.

"I'm afraid by doing that," Geo finally spoke. "I would be allowing an accomplice to murder go free." He looked at his father with hard eyes, not seeming to care for the softer ones that cried out to him. "He had disowned me the second that he tried to have me killed. Therefore, I will not be requesting mercy on the one I once called father."

Shiro nodded. He sent out a mind link to the ones who were there to go inside if they had children and did not wish to see this. He would not force them like Sakdah did.

When no one else was moving inside, Shiro took out the Alpha blade from its sheath. It still had both his and Sakdah's blood on it. Those eyes looked just as frightened as the ones that he had ordered their capture of for the Black Skies Ceremony. Especially after smelling his Alpha's blood on it.

Shiro made it swift. He shoved the blade into his chest in one clean cut. The man gasped, automatically grabbing for the sword. But it was too late. Shiro took out the blade that was in him and watched as the man fell to the ground.

"I'm sorry, Geo," Shiro looked at him. Tears were in his eyes as he looked at his father.

"Don't be," Geo said. "He never wanted to be my father. All he wanted to do was be feared.... He didn't love me."

Kenji's brother was there. He watched the man die as well. But there was no hatred in his eyes. Only a silent regret. Shiro had talked to him before about Kenji. He said that his brother didn't always act like this. Kenji had looked up to his brother at one point. He had tried his hardest to be just as strong and intelligent as him. But, after a while, he got frustrated that he couldn't. Instead of not comparing himself to others and merely trying to be the best person he could, his frustration turned into anger and hatred for his brother. And no matter what his brother did, he could not bring back the little sibling that had been so happy to train with him.

"There will be no more deaths for the crimes committed," Shiro told the people. "For the two who had led this movement of bloodshed have faced their punishment. The rest will be arrested and found justice for on a different day."

He looked at all the people that were now under his command. Although there were some mixed feelings, the majority of them were happy and relieved. The first thing Shiro would do was take the Black Cloaks away. There was no reason for any law enforcers to be hiding their faces.

Shiro ordered the bodies to be cleaned up. They would be buried at another time, just in case the other packs wished to make sure that they were dead. He wanted them to finish their investigation so that he wouldn't have to worry about it during his reign.

Many members went inside after that in an attempt to try and get some sleep after all that had happened. Shiro wouldn't force them to stay up. There was no need. Instead, he watched with happy eyes as families got reunited and couples shared their affection in the open. Happiness was everywhere, just like when he was a boy. He had missed this quite a lot.

He turned back to the ones he had called his council. Geo, Jin, and Miki stood there, as they were the last ones to be accepted back into the pack. Shiro smiled as he saw them. But the first one he wished to accept in the back wasn't Geo. He had another wish that he wanted to come true.

"Jin," Shiro motioned for him to come closer. When he did, Jin bowed to him. "I accept you back into the Reverence Pack, as well as into my family." He smiled at him. "It's an honor to be able to call you my Gamma as well as my brother."

The look in Jin's eyes when he said that was enough for all the stress and worry the past five years, worth it. Once he was back in the mind link, he ran to Hiroko, spinning her around as she laughed with him.

"End your curse, Hiroko," Shiro told her. She looked at him with her dark eyes sparkling with happiness. He was sure if their grandfather were there, he would say that she looked just like her mother, even with her hair cut short. "You two have suffered the longest under it than anyone in the history of BlackCreek. I will no longer allow this curse to happen under my reign."

Hiroko and Jin nodded, then quickly ran off inside, holding hands. It was the first time since they were seventeen that they had been so close to each other. They used to be inseparable. Shiro wished to bring that back.

"Miki," he said. When she came up, she bowed at him. "You are accepted back into my pack, along with your mate. As my Delta, I welcome you home with open arms."

"Thank you," she smiled as she was brought under the mind link. She moved off to the side so that Shiro could see the final one to be brought back into the pack.

"Geo," he smiled. Geo walked up slowly and bowed in front of him. "As my Beta, I welcome you back to the Reverence Pack." He glanced at Alex who was smiling happily at his mate. "I also give you permission to live in the city with your mate when the time comes." He shocked both Geo and Alex by saying that. "It won't be too far away to do your duty."

Geo hugged him after saying that.

"You're the best friend I could ever ask for," he whispered to him. Shiro hugged him back, enjoying his friend finally being happy.

"I could say the same to you," he told him. "Thank you for being there for me, Geo."

There were still so many things to do, and laws to change. But, for now, Shiro would bask in the happiness of his friends. He would get the one thing he had been dreaming of from the day that he had thought of it.

Now all that was left to do was celebrate.
