《The Secrets of The Reverence Pack》Chapter 35: Peeping Jett

He couldn't believe this. Jett hadn't even known that this was a way in which you could bypass this stupid curse. It raised more questions on top of the ones they already had. How many people did this? How did they figure this out? Why on earth was this pack trying to bypass this curse?

Well, historically, every pack had tried to find a workaround to it when they first got it. They had worked with witches, demons, just about every magical being. Nothing worked. If anything, it made things worse for a while. This trick must have been something that only the Reverence Pack figured out. But he couldn't imagine mates letting the other go through so much pain alone. Just the thought of it made him hurt.

"Don't do anything stupid, Jett," Alex told him. "This could be life threatening."

"I'm aware," he told his second. Alex always got worried about him when he got in this mood. "I just need to find him."

"You want me to try and get the warriors to help?"

"No," Jett parked the car on the side of the road. "What I want you to do is drive home."

"What?" he looked shocked when he said that. Jett simply got out of the car. "But Jett-!"

"No," he stopped him. "I'm going to look for him by myself, and you're going home. That's an order, Alex."

He stared at him for a second or two, obviously pissed that he couldn't come with. Alex had always been there when he needed help. It was his duty as his beta to help him as well. But Jett had to do this alone. He needed to talk to Shiro or try and help him through whatever pain he was going through. As much as he didn't want to go through the affects of the curse, he didn't want Shiro to hurt because of it.

Alex nodded after a while and got into the driver's seat. Jett waited until he couldn't see the car anymore before he started his search. As much as a car would help for moving around the city faster, he needed the fresh air. Since he hadn't marked Shiro yet, and didn't have a scent to pick up on, he had to rely on his instincts.

Because if Alex could find Geo through following his gut, then Jett could find Shiro. He just had to figure out where he went.

He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. He listened to all the city goers and the birds chirping. All the cars that were driving by and the bells of doors being opened at shops. The city was busy, but calming in a way. But these sounds were not what he was trying to focus on. He searched within himself, through all his feelings of confusion and frustration. He searched for the one thing that would help him find him.

Their bond.

It was still getting stronger, he knew that. Even though he hadn't felt the affects of the curse, he still had this uneasy feeling in his stomach all day. He was sure that if it were night, the moon would be trying to give him another warning.

He didn't need one this time. He knew exactly what he needed to do.

It felt like a coil around his heart. It had worked its way around it, reaching out into the city like an invisible rod. While concentrating on it he ran through the city, letting his animal instinct kick in as much as being in a city would let him. It was mainly a lot of running and not talking to people. To them, he probably just looked like a madman. Hell, he probably was.

Even with following the bond, he searched the whole day for him. Every time he thought he had gotten to his destination he'd still feel the rod pulling him forward. At this point, he was contemplating giving up. Shiro was too good at hiding, and it wasn't just his emotions that he hid it seemed. It was like trying to go to a fire when you saw the smoke in the sky. You think it's much closer, but it turns out to be miles and miles away. But the more he thought about giving up his search and just heading home for the night, the more determined he became to find it. Now that he had honed in on their bond, he could feel that something was off. There was a need that filled him.

The moon was out and shining brightly as he continued his search. He prayed to her that he would find him. She seemed more than willing to help him the first time.

It took forever, but he finally found something. He was pulled to an apartment building, and a nice one at that. It looked like it even had lofts at the very top. It stretched far into the sky. If Shiro was here, though, then Jett would have a much more difficult time finding him. There were so many rooms, and so many smells. There was no way he could find him within the night.

Yet he was pulled to do so. He was tired, and hadn't eaten much that day, but his instincts were telling him to go closer. And the bond continued to pull him to his mate. He decided to walk around the outside first, to see if there were any hints of him. He used the shadows to his benefit so that he would remain unseen.

Oh, why did he think this was going to be easy? There were hundreds of rooms in that building! How was he supposed to figure out which one held the man that had hid from him? A pull from a bond could only do so much, especially when they hadn't strengthened it by marking each other.

He was about to give up for the night and try to get something to eat when he felt something. Something stirred in him as soon as he got to a certain area on the backside of the building. He scanned the windows there, but none of them seemed to cause the feeling. The only window that he hadn't looked at was to the basement floor.

Wait. The basement floor!

He got on his hands and knees and started looking through the small windows. Most of them were dark and with curtains covering them. But there was one that stood out to him. The curtains were just barely open, with a small amount of light coming through it. He had to get in a pretty uncomfortable position to find a way to look through it, but once he did, he couldn't move.

He found him. He actually found him! It was a small room that looked to be a studio apartment. He couldn't make out much details other than the little kitchen area and the bed that was the closest to the window. Shiro was spread out on the bed, the thin blanket only partly on him, just enough to hide the parts that Jett desperately wanted to see right then. Sweat glistened off that beautiful torso of his as his body arched again and again. Both of his hands hidden by the blankets, but it only took one look to know what they were doing.

Oh, fuck. He could only imagine the sounds that he was making. He couldn't hear them, but he could see those small lips pant and open as those hands went faster. His hair was completely down now, with some strands stuck a little to his face. It made him want to wipe them off and tuck them back behind his ear. He bet it would still be soft.

His eyes were really too focused on those hands of his, though. A hunger building in him for a whole other reason than food. He wanted to see what was underneath those covers. He wanted to know what his scent was like when it was mixed with the passion that he was showing.

How could he not even hear the man? How could he not smell him? These apartments were built for humans, yet this one was able to keep the smells of this trapped within their walls?

Shiro fell back onto the bed with what looked to be a cry. But he didn't finish. His face looked pained and desperate. He rolled over onto his stomach, hiding his face into a pillow.

So that's what the curse did if the mate didn't come. That's what created the pain. That onyx hair covered his face, only moving slightly with the little puffs of his breathing. His body still tried to move and arch. It was the most erotic thing he had ever seen.

He needed him. Oh, how he needed him at that moment.

Jett didn't know how, but he somehow was able to pull himself away from the sight of him. He practically raced into the building and quickly started making his way through the halls. All he needed to do when he went to the basement floor was look for the one that didn't have a smell coming from it. It made finding it pretty easy actually. He caught his breath and tried to be quiet as possible when he turned the knob.

Dammit. It was locked. Of course, he would lock the door. Jett could only imagine someone walking in on him like that.

Actually, he didn't want to imagine it. Not unless that someone was him.

He dug through his pockets to find his pocket knife. It was one of those that your grandfather gave you that had a thousand different tools all folded into it. Jett had gotten it from his grandfather when he was fifteen. And, like any teenager would, he decided to teach himself how to pick locks with it.

He didn't know it would actually be of use in a situation like this, but he was going to get in that room. If this didn't work, then he would break the damn door if he had to. After seeing what he just saw, he was starting to lose his mind over the need to have him in his arms.

He had to calm himself down and take a few breaths to actually get it right. His hands were shaking with excitement, and it took all he had to keep in control of himself. As soon as he heard the small click of the door unlocking, he put his knife away and stood back up.

The stories weren't kidding when they talked about mates giving off the most enticing smell on the thirtieth day. He forced himself to open it as slowly as possible, and slipping in as soon as there was enough room for him to. The first thing he noticed was the smell that the room had been filled with. A mixture of a midnight spring and a musky scent that he couldn't quite describe, it quickly overwhelmed his senses.

He shut the door and locked it back up as quietly as he could. That black hair still covered that lovely face, showing him that he hadn't noticed him come in. His breathing was ragged and not normal, so he knew he wasn't asleep. He really must have been in a bad state to not notice him walking around the room to close the curtains to the small window all the way.

Shiro moaned into the pillow as his body started to come back to life again. It was enough to make him lose what little control he had at the moment. He threw off his shirt and shoes and climbed into the bed. Right before those hands tried to move down to the one part that was unsatisfied, Jett grabbed ahold of him, pressing himself into the backside of the man.

He tensed and squirmed, obviously scared of whoever just grabbed him without him knowing. Jett just shushed him, scattering kisses all over his shoulders.

"It's just me, Prince," he moved those hands away from their destination, using one of his arms to pull those hips up to him. Jett was still clothed from the waist down. He wasn't going to take it that far until Shiro wanted him to. Even if his body was begging him to take him right then.

"Jett?" his voice sounded so lost as his body arched into him. "H-how did you find me?"

"I'm not answering questions until I get some answers myself," his hips were already pushing into him automatically. He wasn't sure how much more of this sweet torture he could take. "Why didn't you tell me that this was going to cause you pain?"

"B-because," he stuttered, his hands clutching the sheets.

"Because?" he teased as he continued to kiss those shoulders. He hadn't heard Shiro stutter before. It only seemed to make him want the man more.

"I didn't want you to try and stop me," he finally answered.

"Well," his lips moved up to his neck automatically. "That didn't exactly work now, did it?" He was so close to bursting with how much friction he was causing as his hips moved against the man.

"N-no," he leaned into every kiss he gave. "I guess not."

"So, are you going to let me help you now?" He teased him by moving his hands right by his hips and massaging them. Shiro moaned again and pushed into him. He seemed so weak against him at the moment. His body begging for release that Jett could only assume he had been trying to get since the beginning of the day.

"W-we can't," he breathed out. His hands went on top of Jett's to try and move them, but they had no strength to do so. "I can't get marked yet, Jett. Please." He sounded so desperate that it overcame his desire for the man. Jett pulled away, much to the dismay of the body beneath him. Instead, he moved Shiro's hair to see his face. Those dark eyes were full of so many emotions. He had no strength to hide them anymore.

"I'm not letting you go through this alone, Shiro," he gently caressed the mans slender face. "I'm not going to mark you if you don't want me to, but I'm not going to just leave you like this."

"If you try to help, you'll just end up marking me," he tried to hide his face back into the pillow, but Jett wouldn't have that. He kept ahold of it, making sure that he continued to meet his gaze.

"If I can refrain this long," he smiled at him. "Then I think I can handle this."

"If you can't control it, I won't be able to stop you."

"Then we can start off small," he moved a hand down the smooth chest. His breathing only getting louder with every inch lower he went. "I could help with the pain like this," he teased just around the man's waist line. "If you'd let me."

Those eyes held nothing but desire in them. It was a hunger that was growing in Jett as well. But seeing him give him that look was enough to keep him from forcing anything on him. He hadn't had anyone look at him like that before. Not with as much desire that Shiro showed for him.

He only felt that way towards him. And Jett loved that fact.

"O-okay," he seemed so nervous to say it. Jett would have to work on that with him. If there was anything he really wanted from the man other than his love, it was his trust.

He kissed those lips, enjoying the heat that came off from them. His whole body was burning. Jett then went on to kiss his jaw and shoulders. He avoided his neck this time. He didn't trust himself with that area.

His hands were the ones doing the real magic. They slowly caressed the part that he had been dying to touch since he saw him in the room. It was already as hard as a rock. As soon as he touched it, Shiro let out a long moan, trying to move his hips into him. He sounded so heavenly like that. Jett never wanted the moment to end, just for the sake of hearing him make those sounds again and again.

He wrapped an arm around his hips again, just to keep them in place, and quickened his pace. Every time they tried to move, they'd push into him, making his own desire build up. He felt so perfect in his hold, and made no move against him. He gave him complete control.

"Jett," he moaned his name. The sound of it was enough to send him over the edge. He was practically eating out of the palm of this Prince's hands.

"Hmm?" he kissed his shoulders.

"More," was all that he could seem to reply.

"More what, Prince?" he asked, his own voice getting husky. The feeling of having him in his arms was utter bliss. His hand was moving quickly to drive him over the breaking point.

"More of you," Shiro barely got the words out. "I need more of you."

"Do you really want to take it that far?" he almost stopped what he was doing at that point. Shiro was telling him exactly what he had been dying to hear, and had been holding back from doing. But he wasn't going to let himself go unless Shiro was absolutely sure. "There's no going back if you say yes."

"I don't care," he shook his head, his long hair traveling with him. "I just need you."

"What happened to taking things slow, Prince?" He teased. He couldn't help but enjoy messing with him, at least just a little bit.

"I-I can't," he told him, his voice low and begging. "I can't hold back anymore. Please."

He couldn't wait any longer after hearing that. With the smell of Shiro's arousal and the sounds that he was still making, Jett had already been holding himself back by a thin thread. He quickly slid off his pants, his own desire begging for release as well. He slid it against him, eliciting a new wave of heat from the man. He was already wet there.

"Tell me if it's too much," he told him. "Okay?"

Shiro just nodded his response. He hesitated a little, teasing himself more than anything. That body moved against him, wanting. And that was all it took for him to push into him. He did it slowly, trying to be as gentle as possible. He was quickly overwhelmed by the heat that it brought. The feeling of being inside him for the first time was addicting, along with the moans that it brought out of the man.

They didn't talk after that. They couldn't. All it took was him going all the way in for the man to start rocking against him. While still stroking his mate, Jett went faster. His mind didn't have control over his body anymore. All it knew was that this was right. This was what was meant to happen. Every time he'd pull out, he would push back into him with more force than before. The body beneath him wasn't complaining. In fact, it was his sounds and movements that had convinced him to do it in the first place. The sensation was driving him over the edge faster than he wanted it to. But he couldn't control it at the moment. The only thing he could control was his mouth from going anywhere near that neck. He knew he would be a goner if he got close to it.

He pushed deep inside him before finishing. Shiro finally finished onto his hand at the same time. His body collapsed back into the bed once more, finally satisfied. His breathing calmed and his muscles on that smooth back finally relaxed.

"You should get some sleep, Prince," he laid beside him, kissing every part of him that he could.

"Will you still be here when I wake up?" Shiro asked. His eyes were closed. He looked so exhausted. But he so easily climbed into his arms.

"Of course, I will," he pulled him closer, stroking his hair. "I don't think I could move from your side, even if I wanted to."

Shiro smiled at that and moved his head to be right under his chin, his body almost completely on him. It didn't take long before he heard calm breathing and his heart rate slowing down. It had a lulling affect on him as he buried his face in the man's hair. He would never forget this night, or the feelings that it brought.

There was still so much to talk to him about, and so many answers that he wanted from him. There were so many serious issues going on that he needed to know about. But, at the moment, his eyes were too heavy, and his mind too foggy to think of any of them. So, instead, he enjoyed the feeling of his mate in his arms and the way that he clung to him that night.

And, instead of all of those things that were important to think about, Jett let his mind drift off into sleep.
