"Did you miss me?" Kai whispered while hugging me.

The producers finished filming the episode so everyone felt more relaxed.

I gently put my hand on his cheek and gently stroked his face with my thumb. Kai leaned in more like a cat.

"Of course," I replied. I decided to take his hand and just lead him to the room I'm staying in since people started staring at us at our display of affections. I had questions that I wanted to ask Kai but I didn't feel comfortable with other people listening to our conversation.

"Where are you taking me?" Kai asked me as if I was talking to a place where we could be very intimate with each other. Though we would be doing something intimate tonight but not right now.

"Somewhere private to talk, since after the challenge results, more people became curious about us." I chuckled as we arrived at my quarters.

"How long will you be staying?" I asked Kai. Since he was buried at work, I know that he doesn't have that much time.

"I plan to depart at the same time as you." Kai's answer surprised me.

"Why so? Did you delegate your work to Allen?" I could imagine Allen would be cursing at Kai who would often like to delegate his duties to Allen so Kai could spend more time with me.

"First of all, I missed you, I suffer agony when I can't spend days with you, my darling." It was Kai's turn to brush his fingers against my face.

"Secondly, I also came to see how the new siren settlements are doing." I almost forgot about the project. Then Kai sat down on the sofa.

"And thirdly, it appears that the numbers of the female rogues have drastically decreased over the past year," Kai informed and then in my head, it clicked to me that I've never told him the reason why there are fewer female rogues.

"Ah, forgot to mention that before I met you the werewolf council was already aware of the disappearance," I mentioned to him and Kai tsked then sighed.

"If you mentioned that earlier, I would be able to save time and resources," Kai said softly as he estimated.

There a lot of money could be saved during the duration of our marriage if I mentioned it when I found out about the Moonlight Sanctuary.

"Are you mad at me for not telling you earlier?" I asked Kai. He only smiled at me and gestured to sit on his lap. I obliged his request and sat in his while he circled arms around me.

"Of course not, how can I ever be mad at you? It's my fault for not asking you earlier."

"Besides, it's never too late to adapt our plans." As he nuzzled my neck.

On the next day, I promised my father that I will visit him for dinner with Kai to have a big family dinner and celebrate Aaron and Stella finding each other.

I guess it's the first time we are having that kind of meal when I and Aaron bring our significant other.

Before going to my father's house I decided to visit Alpha Frank's grave. Kai decided to stay in the car since he needed to take an important phone call and he didn't want to interrupt my visit.

There were still fresh flowers lying on Alpha Frank's grave signifying that pack members still respect him after his death. Alpha Frank was a good alpha who treated everyone fairly. He improved living conditions in this pack and gave more opportunities to the members of the pack.

"Excuse me, are you Evelyn Bonnet?" The person asked when I turned to him I saw a man that was in his forties who was dressed very well.

"Yes?" I answered.

Then the man reached for his pocket to hand me the business card.

"I'm Richard Greywold. I was Alpha Frank's lawyer. I was meaning to contact you but you were too busy. " Richard explained.

"Contact me? For what reason?" I was curious. Perhaps there is something that involves our plan to establish an academic community in Silver Forest Pack.

"After his death, he mentioned you in his will. Please visit my office once you have free time." I was mentioned in his will? That's new.

I remember once I started working in the administration Alpha Frank often mentioned that I'm more capable than Damien and he wished that I was his daughter.

He was like a father figure to me but he didn't have to mention me in his will.

Then Richard left and I had a few more quiet moments before I left the flower on his grave and returned to the car.

"Have you finished the phone call?" I told Kai I asked him.

"Sorry, I didn't come with you but I didn't want to be loud in the cemetery," Kai told me apologetically.

Kai doesn't know my family well like I know my in-laws, and he knew Alpha Frank less than my fraternal family. I was just happy that he agreed to come to the family dinner.

"It's all right. " I gave a small smile. Kai apologetically smiled and held my hand. If my wifey instincts are right Kai is probably thinking about how to make it up to me.

Soon we arrived at the cottage.

Father was very happy to see me as I gave him a hug and then my father greeted Kai.

"Come on, everyone else is waiting for you two." Father cheered.

Once I stepped into the house the smell of food hit me like a wave. In a bad way.

I didn't wait until Kai helped to remove the coat as I instantly flew to the nearest bathroom. I opened the bathroom door and threw up into the toilet bowl.

"Oh dear, does it always happen to you?" Kai asked as he helped me to remove the coat so I wouldn't accidentally dirty the coat.

"Not always for some reason I'm just sensitive to smell." I helplessly replied.

Then I heard the footsteps of my stepmother and she asked.

"Is there a smell that particularly stood out? I baked a Turkey which I always did during the family meals." Linda worriedly asked.

"It's alright. Evelyn has been feeling sick for some time now. Please put something plain on her plate that doesn't have a strong smell." Kai comforted me.

As soon as my stepmother left Kai turned to me.

"Tomorrow, we will go to the clinic," Kai said as he sighed and helped me to clean up.

After a few minutes, I didn't feel the need to vomit so I got out of the bathroom. After I arrived at the dining room I noticed there was less smell of food.

The windows were opened to lessen the smell.

I smiled at the thoughtfulness and I just didn't have the energy to thank them.

During the course of the dinner. Kai made sure I was hydrated and throughout dinner touched my forehead to make sure I wasn't sick.

After dinner it was time to head back to the chateau. Then suddenly Kai asked to stop at the nearest convenience store.

"Why are we stopping at the convenience store?" I asked Kai. Kai only smiled at me and then turned to his assistant.

"Please buy a few pregnancy tests," Kai instructed the assistant.

"Pregnancy tests?" I was flabbergasted.

"Well, how sure are you that you aren't pregnant? We were very busy on our honeymoon so there is no doubt that you might end up pregnant." Kai told me.

My expression changed. I never thought of the possibility of me becoming pregnant. I never thought of becoming a parent yet.

On the other hand, I haven't taken the test yet. There is a chance that I might not be pregnant.

Kai just held my hand.

"No matter what we will figure it out." Kai comforted me and I smiled.

After we came back to our room. Kai hurriedly sent me to the bathroom to take tests. There were multiple sticks from different brands to make sure I don't receive the false positive.

I guess in any case I would need to go to the doctor for the checkup. Why else do I have those symptoms if it's not pregnancy?

After a few minutes of waiting for the results, the test showed me that I was indeed pregnant.
