A few weeks have passed and I moved back to 'Glass Home' residence since Kai finally returned. Although I enjoyed staying at the Royal Palace and interacting with my in-laws and even grew closer with them, not only was it easier for me to do my duties since I had to attend the royal ball and state events, but I know Kai would be unsatisfied if I chose to stay.

Since Kai always preferred to have his own space that he could share with me.

There was another dilemma, as a reward for suppressing the rebellion Kai received not only a generous reward but was also rewarded with a month of vacation since it's rare for royal families to have a vacation. On the other hand, I still had duties that I had to perform as a princess which Kai was annoyed about since he wanted to spend time with me but couldn't do anything about it.

Except, he will complain that I'm working too much and say that I'm neglecting him. He would often recommend taking more breaks or leaving work for another day. Involuntarily I had to agree with Kai's suggestions and spend time procrastinating with Kai.

Kai became more affectionate and doting after he returned. I guess the time we spent apart made our love stronger.

Currently, I was in the library writing letters to the new valuable connections that I made that will help with my goal of establishing an organization that will help werewolves if they met with difficulties in the Nauloria Empire.

Then I felt Kai approach me. I only hoped that he didn't come here to ask me to take a break since I wanted to finish writing the letters today.

Instead, Kai picked me up then he sat down in the chair that I sat in and finally he put me on his lap. He then wrapped his arms around my waist and I softly sighed.

"I didn't disturb you when you were working, did I ?" I asked Kai while my voice was soft. Kai only smiled and gently put his chin on my shoulder.

"Oh, I wish you came more often to my office." There is no way that I could argue against him.

"Are you sure that you don't want to have your work desk in my office?" Kai asked me. He asked me this question before he had to go to the Mermaid state and I declined his offer. I liked to have an open space that I had working in the library.

"If I agree, will you stop bothering me and distract me from the work?" I firmly asked Kai but he mischievously smiled and replied "Maybe."

"Oh, I hope that you didn't forget that we have a dinner date today?" I almost forgot that I promised that I will go to the restaurant with him since he pestered me that he wanted to spend more time with me.

"I didn't know that today is the dinner date, I will get ready after I finish writing the letters. Will that be alright with you?" Kai only hummed in agreement.

Then I had no choice but to continue to work while I sat on Kai's lap.

After that, I went to my room to get ready. Luckily I planned the outfit so I don't have to spend a lot of time choosing the outfit.

I picked the black cocktail dress and paired it with pearl earrings and a pearl necklace. I am also glad that my natural straight blonde hair will make me look elegant. The only thing that is left is to choose shoes, I choose black suede black heels.

Since I had already put on the foundation the only thing that is left to add is red lipstick and a good mascara. Then I sprayed with Oscar de la Renta - Bella rosa perfume, this is my favorite rose-scented perfume. After that, I grabbed my purse.

Then I went down to the first floor with the elevator and Kai was already waiting for me.

"I hope I didn't make you wait long." As the princess, I needed to be more meticulous in choosing my outfit if I don't want to be critiqued by the press.

Kai shortly observed my chosen outfit; he didn't want to stare for too long.

"Oh you look stunning, my princess" Kai complimented as he kissed my hand. The heat crept on my cheeks as always. Kai had always looked good wearing a suit. Today he decided to wear a light brown suit. It suits his eyes very well despite him having heterochromia.

"As always you look suave, mon mari." I complimented him back and decided to call him my husband in french. Kai appreciated the french nickname and then he grinned.

"Isn't it too early to be seducing me, my dear?" Kai hummed and I playfully shrugged.

Then we headed to the pod before we would spend more of our time flirting with each other.

The ride didn't take long since it was easier and faster to travel with the pod and the restaurant wasn't very far.

Before agreeing on the dinner date Kai has been pestering me about which restaurant I would like to go to. Since I was invited to this restaurant before and I had a pleasant experience I told Kai that I wanted to go to this restaurant that has European and Naulorian dishes.

It was Friday and luckily not a lot of people were outside of the restaurant. It wasn't very popular yet. I hope that it will stay this way.

People noticed the pod right away, I guess soon this restaurant will become popular or at least receive an article that we were spotted dining here.

As we stepped out of the pod we were instantly led to the V.I.P table.

"The interior is very modern, what made you choose this place?" Kai asked as we were seated at the V.I.P table and then the waiter handed us our menu.

"I've been there before and I enjoyed eating their food." Since Kai agreed to my suggestion I've been looking forward to coming back to enjoy eating food once more.

"With whom did you go here the first time?" Kai suspiciously asked me but I giggled.

" I was invited by the noble werewolves, there is no need to be suspicious of me, my dearest husband," I said Kai didn't probe any further since he accepted my answer.

When I was a teenager I always thought that I would be calling my significant other ' my mate' rather than 'my husband'. Since Kai is my husband but not my true soulmate he still has a special place in my heart.

Strangely, when I married Kai I never used the word 'mate' in my vocabulary. Kai never asked about it and I never mentioned it. To be honest, it would be tactless of me to mention my mate out of nowhere in our marriage since our marriage is only between the two of us.

The waiter brought the bottle of my favorite white wine. It makes me feel appreciated that Kai remembers what type of fine I like.

As soon as the waiter poured me the wine I took a sip and decided to ask Kai about what I had been thinking recently.

"I've been thinking of trying to get a Ph.D. in Economics." I voice my thoughts to Kai. I always appreciated hearing Kai's opinion since he would always guide me when needed.

"Go for it, since you have enough time to get a Ph.D. degree." Kai voiced his agreement but then he continued "I only have one condition."

"What kind of condition," I asked warily. I hoped that Kai would not ask something that would be difficult to promise.

"That you will apply to the program after our honeymoon." Kai voiced his condition.

We never had a proper honeymoon, yet. I even forgot about it.

"Honeymoon? I've never thought about it." I looked at the ceiling since I've never considered having a honeymoon at any point in our marriage and I almost accepted that we will probably never have one since we had busy schedules.

"In the restaurant, we have time to think about the date and destination," Kai suggested as the waiter brought our appetizers. The delicious smell of the appetizer has reached my nose.

Little by little, I ate appetizers and thought about where I wanted to go on my honeymoon.

"What about Seychelles? I always wanted to go there." I suggested the idea to Kai. Of course, Kai smiled at my suggestion.

"Your wish is my command." The only thing Kai said was that the waiter brought us the main dishes.

Then we ate the dishes we had ordered and after we chewed our food little by little we would have small conversations. It was almost night time since we finished and we decided to head back home.

Of course, there was a paparazzi waiting for us but that didn't destroy the pleasant mood since the security of the restaurant has been doing a good job.

In the pod, Kai looked at me and gently put his hand under my chin, and stroked my cheek with his thumb.

"I always get entranced by your eyes." Kai said as he kissed my lips. I kissed him back since I hoped the kiss would be a short one.

But it wasn't a short one. After I felt relaxed under the kiss Kai was bold enough to use his tongue to kiss me more deeply. It was not long before we both started to lose breath.

Then Kai moved to my neck and feathered with kisses while he also didn't hesitate to leave a hickey.

"You have no idea how much I want to mark you. Perhaps today you will give me an honor to imprint you." Kai whispered in a husky voice.

My breath was hitched. Will he try to mark me so I can become his eternal companion?

Being marked by a siren is very different from being marked by a werewolf. If the werewolf marks you only fall asleep for a few hours but if the siren marks you then I can end sleeping for a month to three months.

Since it's a long process until your lifespan changes from 100 to 1000 years.

I then gently stroked Kai's cheek with my hand and I apologetically smiled at him.

"You know it's not the right time." If he marks me right now we would have to move our honeymoon date and there wouldn't be a right time to plan. The meetings that I planned to speak with individuals who will be supporting the organization will have to be moved.

Kai took my hand and gently kissed it.

"Then are you willing to sacrifice something else tonight?" Kai asked seductively.

At this moment I knew that tonight I wouldn't be able to go unscathed.

Kai took my silence as a yes and I didn't try to stop him.

Once we arrived at our residence Kai asked me "My room or yours?"

"My room."

Then Kai picked me up and walked to the elevator where he proceeded to kiss my neck and remove a wide dress strap from my shoulder so he would have better access.

I unsuccessfully suppressed my moans.

In my room, we ended up making out and my dress left my body completely.

Until we moved the bed.

Kai looked lustfully at my exposed body before saying.

"My beautiful wife, you can't imagine how much I longed for this moment."
