Jax's Pov:

(Jax's wolf up top)

Aztec has been pacing around his office like a maniac for thirty minutes. It was honestly getting annoying, he looked like a helpless gremlin.

"Aztec!" I snapped, his head snapped to mine and his pacing slowed to a halt.

"What?" He asked coldly, I rolled my eyes at my best friend. I got used to his cold attitudes having grown up with him, but it would have made anyone else other than his family tremble in fear.

"Dude, what's gotten you all worked up? I've been standing here for like thirty minutes, and you haven't even realized I walked in" I muttered folding my arms over my chest.

Aztec sighed, and ran one of his hands through his black wavy hair, "The fucking rouges attacked one of the hunting groups again, and now I have three wolves who are brutally injured and another five with minor injuries" he complained.

"Jeez, have the rouges really gotten that bad?" I murmured to myself, the rouges usually stuck to themselves and didn't bother packs.

"Yeah," he scoffed "Why do you think I've been pacing?" He scowled, and I rolled my eyes again "Not to mention Ivory Pack had asked me to help them train their warriors, because of said rouge attacks."

"How about this? What if we scout out the rouges that are in between Ivory and Jet Moon territory, because it seems like are getting restless" I suggested.

Aztec looked at me, he clenched his jaw and growled making me flinch. His Alpha aura raiding off of him, and it was slightly overwhelming.

"Jeez calm down," I grumbled. Aztec shot me a glare, and punched the wall leaving a hole in the wall. "Feel better?" I scoffed, looking at the hole in his office "Yeah good luck getting that fixed."

Aztec sighed and walked over to his desk "What was it you needed?" He asked, his tone growing cold. Most of the pack would be terrified to talk to him, and yet here I was using my Alpha's first name.

Wait why did we come here?

Griffin; my wolf scolded me. I bit my tongue in my mouth trying to figure out why I needed to see Aztec in the first place "Oh right!" I exclaimed.

Aztec looked up at me with a raised brow, and motioned his hand for me to continue; so I did. "The scouts have noticed a lot of rouges breaking from packs nearby and a lot of them were thinking of going to check it out, but they need your approval."

Aztec clenched his jaw, and his eyes slightly darkened for a brief moment before turning to his normal hazel eye color "So the reason why you said..." he stopped and looked at his hands for brief moment before standing up "Find these rouges, because it seems like they are trying to build a pack. We need to figure out what their motive is." He murmured

"Take who you can" Aztec added then sat back down "Now leave, I have enough shit to deal with."

I nodded "As you wish your majesty" I joked, Aztec growled at me and I laughed as I walked out of his office.

Elizabeth ran up to me and hugged me, I smiled and hugged my beautiful mate back. Electricity running through my body everywhere she touched.

"Hey there love, what is it?" I asked softly, breathing in her scent of roses and marigold's filling my nose making me crave more, but I couldn't.

"I just wanted to see you," Elizabeth smiled, tilting her head cutely to the side.

I growled quietly, she was doing this on purpose. "Liz," I grumbled. Griffin was howling in my head as my eyes drifted to her neck, I caressed her cheek and kissed it.

I smirked when Elizabeth shuttered, my knuckles slowly ran down her neck to where no mark stood, where I am supposed to mark her. I growled lightly "Mine," I whispered and she squeaked.

Elizabeth backed away and I whined softly, but stopped when one of the guards walked passed us "Luna, Beta" he acknowledged.

Liz sighed and smiled lightly, her straight blond hair carefully framing her face as it rested just above her shoulder. Her sky blue eyes staring at mine with curiosity and something more.

I shook my head. "It was nice to see you Luna" I bowed and walked away, I grimaced when she whimpered quietly behind me.

Stupid elders, I hated seeing Aztec touching my mate or even wrapping his arm around her. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists, the thought made me angrier the more I thought about it, but I know they had no choice in the matter. The elders had forced it on both them, all knowing damn well she was Mine.

I sighed as I reached the living room, "Beta? Is something wrong?" Shasta asked. I shook my head in reply, and walked passed her.

Shasta followed me, and I clenched my jaw tightly "Is there something you need Shasta?" I asked Turing to the girl. She tilted her head, and quivered her lip.

I scoffed "Shasta, what are you trying to do?" I asked, she was getting a little too close for my liking and I backed up. I growled and she flinched baring her neck to me in submission "Don't try that again" I warned and left the pack house.

I don't think we have time Griffin, it's way too late for that.

Griffin whined in my head, and I sighed.

Okay we'll go on a run, but we're taking some warriors with. We need to figure out this rouge stunt.

Griffin wagged his tail in reply, and I smiled. 'Edric, Rydian, meet me at the willow tree. Alpha wanted us to scout the rouges' I mind-linked them as I continued walking to my destination. They both answered with 'Yes Beta Kataon.'

Griffin complained, and I sighed in agreement. It's been getting harder every time, and not to mention I still haven't marked Liz. Which makes it 10x worse, especially when heat season comes along.

I grimaced at the thought, but once I walked up to the giant willow tree I shifted. My bones popping out of place echoed throughout the silent forest.

I shook my fur and looked down at my brown paws, Griffin was a brown and white wolf with emerald green eyes.

I sat down while waiting for the others. Two other wolves showed up, those two being Edric & Rydian. They both bared their necks to me and I nodded.

We've been walking around the border of Jet Moon Pack for hours, and yet there was still no sign of the rouges.

'Beta Kataon?' Rydian asked, I looked at him and tilted my head.

'There's a new scent.'
