July 3, Friday
"Mommy?"Sevyn called out to me as he followed me around.
"Yes baby yes?"I asked him as I picked him up.
"Candy!!"
"You mean fruit and not candy?"I asked him.
"No!"he yelled.
"Hey boy, you giving my daughter problems?"Alexis asked him as she placed foil over the pans.
"No!"he yelled at her.
"Don't be yelling at her!"I said to him and he frowned at me.
"Look at him looking just like his crazy daddy."she said and boom he started throwing a temper tantrum.
"Stop Sevyn!"I said while trying to tame him.
He screamed while climbing out of my arms and falling out on the floor.
"Get up Sevyn and come here."Alexis said to him.
"Get on his butt mama."I said while going into the refrigerator and grabbing the pans of fruit out.
I sat them on the counter before making him a small plate of fruit.
"Here little boy."I said while giving it to him after she got him right.
He walked off and I shook my head.
"I'm sorry Kodi but Sevyn is going to be Alexander all over again."
"Mhm well I hate to say it but Alexander is going to be raising Alexander on his own."I said and she laughed.
"Don't let him do it."she said and I chuckled.
The doorbell rang and I went to go get the door.
"Heeeey Koko girl."Scarr's auntie said to me and I just smiled while letting her and her many grown children inside.
"Hi."I said and the younger cousin hugged me.
"Cousin can you promote my business on yo page since you poppin'?"she asked me.
"I know we family and all but I don't work for free Keke."
"Wow you gone do me like that?"
"Business is business."I said and she chuckled.
Today Alexis wanted us to come to her house for this early Fourth of July celebration that she was having.
Her and my mama cooked a lot of food while I set up decorations and stuff.
I headed back to the door since it had rung again.

"Big sis, what's hannin'?"Jay exclaimed as he appeared at the door with Scooter and Two Times.
The niggas that took over my live, yeah them.
"My mama know y'all here at her house?"I asked them referring to Alexis.
"We family, what you mean!?"Jay said while scrunching his face up.
"You right but don't bring none of that crazy shit to the Suburbs, 'cause you should've left it over there in the hood."
"Fuck the Suburbs!!"Two times yelled aloud as they walked in and I mugged them.
"Okay sis, we cool."he said and I closed the door.
As soon as I got back down the hall, the doorbell rang again.
I went to open the door and I screamed once I saw my husband.
I ran up to him and he picked me up.
"What you crying for?"he asked me, I didn't even realize I was crying.
"I missed you so much."I said while placing my hand on the side of his face and kissing his lips.
"I missed you more baby."he said while squeezing my butt with one hand and smacking it with the other.
"Wher— Daddy!! Mommy move!"I heard Heaven yell and I got off of Scarr.
Knuckle head ass.
After her, all of the other ones started running out her to welcome their daddy back.
When we all went back into the house he spoke to his family and we started this little Fourth of July celebration.
"Mommy can I get into the pool?"Heaven asked me.
"Yes."
"I don't have a swimsuit though."
"I don't care Heaven do whatever you want."
"You don't mean that."she said while smiling widely revealing her train tracks and dimples.
"In about five seconds I'm not about to so I'd suggest you do whatever you're gonna do."I said while looking at my watch.
She ran off and I shook my head.
"Mommy can I use this?"Kai asked me as he ran up to me with silly string.
"Yes, only outside though."
"Okay well can you open it?"he asked me.
I grabbed it before opening it and giving it to him.

He was just about to run off but I grabbed him by his shirt.
"Malakai, I'm serious do not use that in this house."
"Okay."he said before running off after I let him go.
I thought after him, I didn't have anybody else to worry about but nope.
Sarai walked up to me pouting.
"What's wrong mama?"I asked her as I picked her up.
"Poo-mommy."she said while pointing outside.
"You want to get in the pool too?"
"Mhm."she nodded.
"Okay look, auntie Tasha is here maybe she can take you to the pool."I said to her as I watched Natasha walk in.
"Heeeeey y'all!!"her loud voice sounded throughout the living room.
Most people spoke to her and most didn't.
Before coming over to me she went to speak to Alexis, my mama, and my dad.
Then she went to talk shit with her man and then she came to me.
"Hey biiiitch!!!"she exclaimed while approaching me.
"Hey girl."I chuckled while pulling her into a hug.
"How you doing? You look good bitch."she asked me while messing with my hair.
"I'm doing good, how about you thickems?"
"Thicke— Bitch don't you ever again call me no thickems in yo life."she said and I laughed.
"Why not? It's true and that was once your name."
"Okay Lil Hot Chocolate."she said before we started laughing.
"I hate you."I said and she chuckled.
"You might as well hate me forever 'cause I ain't going nowhere."
"Since you're not, are you swimming today?"I asked her.
"Girl no, I just put this shit on so that I can look good."
"You look good in anything but since mama doesn't have a swimsuit nor dad, Sarai wanted to know if you could take her swimming."
"Of course I can take my baby swimming. Where's Sevyn, he's going too?"
"You think you can handle both of them?"
"Girl yeah. You be acting like they just a whole lot of trouble, they're both good with auntie Tasha. Ain't that right?"she asked Sarai.
Sarai just looked at her.
"Alright let auntie find somewhere to put her things then I'll get you and your brother and take you swimming. Okay?"she asked her and Sarai nodded.
I chuckled before putting her down.
We each split ways and I went to look for my man.
"Nigga you straight?"30 asked me as he walked up to me.
I immediately wiped away my tears and hit my blunt.
"Yeah as straight as ima get."
"Nigga don't act like I ain't just catch you crying cats and dogs."
"Tears of joy, that's all."I said and he smiled.
"Nigga I'm glad you happy!"
"Fuck me. How you?"I asked him.
"Shit I'm a hundred percent. Backend just came in, nigga you already know."He said and I laughed while dapping him up.
"Look though. I'm thinking 'bout re-proposing to K.O."I said while pulling the ring out of my pocket.
"Nigga I'm here for whatever you doing to help strengthen yo family."he smiled and I dapped him up again.
"'Preciate the support brother."I said and he nodded.
"Fasho. Me and Tasha still got some growing up to do so it's gone be a while before our wedding day comes."he said and I chuckled.
"Well shit whenever you ready, ima be there for you brother."
"Hell yeah but I'm finna go up in hur and see 'bout this big ass plate I'm finna make."
"Fat ass nigga !!"I exclaimed and he laughed before going inside.
I looked at the ring thinking about if this would be the right time to do it.
I'm honestly tired of fucking up.
I know it's gone happen but I'm tired of arguing, fighting, and getting to the point where I wanna or Kodi wants to get a divorce.
I'm ready to completely let every and anything that ain't pleasing to my marriage or family go.
I feel like it's time and we're at the point where there shouldn't be any more fuck ups.
It's time that I let it be known to not only Kodi but to the kids that I ain't going nowhere, no matter what.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.

Modern Magic
A Modern Magician BookI looked up at the crooked holo sign while the perfectly bred woman read from a paper, a plastic smile glued to her face.'Welcome to The City,' she said in a fake voice. 'Once formerly known as New York, The City is a place filled with ancient and modern wonders. Remember, if you see any magicians please report to the nearest police station or Black Hand officer.'I smiled at the sign and then raised a single finger. No, not the middle one. A blue misty light spun from my finger and into the holo device. The message quickly changed from the fake woman to one of my own.'Welcome to The City,' the woman read, her hair now dyed a fuchsia. Her eyelids were a dark blue and her bottom lip and right eyebrow were pierced. 'A special message from Hecate, queen of magic.' The woman looked up at me, a smirk playing on her lips. 'Welcome to my city.'
