November 2, Monday
I walked out of the club and headed to the all black Suburban that Scarr and his people were standing in front of.
"What's up Kodi?"30 said to me and I just nodded my head at him.
Bk looked at me and was finna say something smart.
"Hi Bk, hi!"I said while chuckling.
I looked at Scarr and he shook his head at me.
"Get in the truck."he said to me before dapping 30 nem up.
I watched as his driver got in and I got in also while waiting on him.
He came and got in the shortly.
"Aye go back to that restaurant we was at yesterday."he said to his driver.
"Restaurant? I have to go pick up my daughter."I said to him.
"Our daughter and didn't you just say she was safe!?"
I nodded while looking out of the window.
His driver started driving and we headed to the restaurant.
No words were exchanged during the while ride.
Instead we just keep taking glances at each other.
I'd look at him while he was looking away and he'd do the same.
We later pulled up to the restaurant and the driver dropped us off in the front.
I felt so out of place because I was wearing a pair of jeans, tennis shoes, and a jacket at this fancy ass restaurant.
When we went inside and got seated, it was still silence between us.
Well Scarr was doing things on his phones.
"You didn't bring me here just to get on your phone did you?"I asked him.
"You the one who don't wanna communicate."he shrugged while looking between me and his phone.
"Okay what you wanna talk about?"I asked him
"I want you to answer my question. Why you ain't bring my daughter to come to visit me after all them years?"

"Scarr can I be honest with you?"
"That's all I'm asking you to do. What the fuck you lying for!?"
"I honestly forgot about you. When you got locked up I was still fucking with Jean. He was with me throughout my whole pregnancy. I couldn't call you or even visit you, he wouldn't let me. Then a couple months after I had Heaven, he beat my ass and I had to get away. I deleted everything and got a new everything, I don't even know if my granny is still alive or not. Moving to a new state was the best thing that has ever happened to my baby and I. I couldn't come back to Atlanta knowing that Jean would be looking for me."
"I respect you for being honest but how the fuck another grown ass man gone stop you from taking care of yo responsibilities!?"
"You don't get it."I shook my head while looking away.
"So you think that nigga still looking for you after all this time?"
"Shit he probably is, who wouldn't be."
"Kodi he's fucking dead."
"That's believable."I nodded.
"He's been dead for three years."
"Okay."I shrugged.
He started laughing and I just looked at him.
"I guess it doesn't matter anymore because here we are now but if some shit like that ever goes down again and you keep me away from my child, I'm handle it yeen gotta do none."he said before waving someone over.
I didn't think much of it because I thought that it was just his driver or a waiter.
That wasn't until this lady and this man sat down at the table and I realized it were my parents.
They still looked the same just a newer version of themselves.

My mom was still short, had the same caramel skin, same full lips, same long golden curls in her head, and the same classy outlook.
The only thing that we're different is that she had lost weight but looked like she had been in the gym, and her teeth were pearly whites.
Last time I saw her she was thicker and wore braces.
My dad on the other had was still tall, tatted up, had the same light brown eyes as me, milk chocolate skin, and his same lil style or whatever.
"Is this a reunion or something?"I asked Scarr while laughing.
My mom started crying and I stood up to hug her and my dad.
"Wow Kodi, I- I just can't believe that this is you."she said.
"I look good don't I?"I asked her and she laughed.
"Of course you do!"
"You do too mama and you."I said while looking at my dad.
"Sit down, we have to catch up."she said and we all sat down.
We covered everything, I wasn't scared to tell them anything not even Scarr.
I did end up crying because she told me that my granny had died a year ago.
Another thing I found out is that my dad is Scarr's music manager which was surprising to me because I never thought they'd ever link up after all that happened in the city.
Oh yeah and my dad apparently killed Jean a couple of years ago so we for sure don't gotta worry about him anymore.
I'm honestly just glad that I was able to reunite with them all, now Heaven can meet her father and grandparents.
Even though I said I didn't want any dealings with him, Scarr and I aren't finished.

Artifex
In a world where art has power and power is everything, Thando Nkhosi is an MMA fighter trying to stand out and be somebody. At least, as much as one can among 23 billion other people. Life is generally good under the [High King]. That is, until he and his friends are catapulted into the upper echelons of the Inner Planet Federation by being granted a power that may be a bit too much for them to handle, and given a task that seems impossible. Trying my hand at a hopefully unique LitRPG system. No stats or number crunching though. Kinda scifi, kinda fantasy but scifi elements only really become plot relevant after the first arc. Won't be doom and gloom but will get really dark at times. Updates twice a week at minimum (2-3k words), sometimes more when school decides to let me out of the pillory lol. Inspired by a writing prompt on reddit and WarHammer 40k orks.

The Mortal Acts
The Mortal Acts is an epic progression fantasy with a lower focus on training aspects and a great focus on discovering new ways of using powers intelligently. I've always been drawn to stories where characters use their powers creatively to overcome opponents and obstacles, and I think all the possibilities can provide a great playground for twists and turns. It's inspired by a variety of media, including Will Wight's Cradle, Hunter x Hunter, and Bioshock, so if you like the creative power use elements from those, come check it out. This is my first serial, and please feel free to leave comments and feedback. For backstory, behind-the-scenes, and other fun stuff, come chat on my discord! Become a patron to read up to 20 chapters ahead here! Blurb: Riven Morell cuts short his regular life at school and home when his mother falls terminally ill. Desperate to find a cure, he travels to Severance Frontier, a desolate land haunted by hordes of ghosts, witches, and demons collectively called the Deathless. But a miraculous cure doesn’t magically fall into his hands. Things are worse in Severance Frontier than Riven had assumed. Ghosts are banding together into armies, demons are kidnapping anyone who strays out of settlements, and witches are enslaving everyone left and right. Riven, of course, gets embroiled in the mess. Missions to curb the Deathless activity are one thing, but when it starts to look like this is just the beginning of a war that extends beyond the mortal realm, Riven has a hard time focusing on why he came to Severance Frontier in the first place. His mother is inching towards death with every passing day, but if he doesn’t face down the Deathless, what little civilization the Frontier holds will be overrun and destroyed. Thankfully, it looked like the Deathless might just hold the secret of the elusive cure.
