I get so happy seeing my dad in the office. I know it's been few days and we called but I stilled missed him.

I missed living with him and talking to him in person. Hugging him.

I decided not to be too affectionate in front of Taehyung because he takes this as a business meeting but it's killing me inside.

My dad understand my intention and only gives me a quick hug and a smile. He is such a smart man.

But I cannot forget how he didn't tell me about the mafia. Well, okay, he did but I didn't get it.

It doesn't matter now. We are engaged and I have to do it for myself and my family. Mafia or not.

The meeting is like any other.

Taehyung keeps giving me glances once in a while. Almost making sure I don't run away from him.

He also insisted I sit next to him giving me no space and his hand brushed against my thigh once in a while.

It feels strange. It isn't like dating a stranger. You know, your friends introduce you to someone or you go on a dating app.

Then have a date, talk things out, decide whether you like them or not. The question of engagement is so far away.

I've met this man and already got an engagement ring. Even though I'm happy I could skip the long and awkward stage of dating, it's still scary.

It's an arranged marriage for Money. It doesn't really happen in my city casually.

Taehyung shakes my father hand and lets me have a small talk with him.

" Dad. You could have told me he is a mob boss. You talked about a gang, how could I understand what you mean?"

He smiles innocently. " I thought you understand, Jungkook did. Sorry, but it will not involve you in any way. You will do the same work as always, Taehyung will do his business.

Now, is he nice to you? Are you still sad?"

"No, I'm not sad. He is fine but... I don't know, I feel like he doesn't really like me."

"You will get to know each other better and everything will get well. You'll see."

"He can just be so cold hearted and honest sometimes."

"You told me yourself you grew up with Jungkook. But remember that even Jungkook loves you deeply and would always protect you. I think Taehyung.... Will be the same in no time." He pats my back," he is waiting for you, baby boy."

I look over my shoulder to see him waiting, " you can always call me if something happens, hm?"

" Yes, I know. Thank you, dad."

I smile, " but wait, do you know more about... When we will get married and all?"

He pats my cheek." Don't worry about that now, just get to know him."

" Dad."

" Go now." He moves his head. Why is everyone so secretive about everything. I walk back to Taehyung as he watches me.

Did he hear the conversation? No, he was quite far away. It doesn't matter anyway, it's not like he doesn't know his profession.

" Shall we have a lunch together?" He asks me.

" Lunch."

" Lunch-date." A date ? I blush at that.

" If you want to." I shrug at him. He nods his head and walks me back to the car. His bodyguards following us.

Sometimes I forget they are here. They are like our shadows looking after us.
