"Oh, nak? Saan ang punta mo?" Tita asked nang makita akong kinukuha yung bag ko.
"May emergency po sa site, tinawagan ako nung secretary ko and I need to go there po asap," I explained.
"Where's Jill again?"
And then I suddenly remembered what happened sa room kanina.
"Bubby.."
"Jill," Tricia called her.
"Ate Trish," Jill answered and tried her best to smile. "You.. you look good.. together,"
Tricia smiled at her. "Don't sabi muna kina Mama, ha?" She intertwined our fingers. "Gusto ko sa amin manggaling, so secret muna natin, okay?"
Jill didn't even bothered to look at me even just for a split second. She giggled. "Yeah, sure. Congrats sa inyo,"
"Not yet official, but we'll get there right, Y/N?" She looked at me.
I slowly nodded.
"I'll.. go now. Sorry for disturbing both of you."
She said that while smiling. But what Tricia didn't see is that..
A tear escaped Jillian's eyes before walking away and closing the door.
"Thank you," she said.
"For what?"
"For existing." She hugged me tighter.
I hugged her back after hearing those words.
It's all clear now.
I like her.
I like the Doctora of the Robredo Family.
I like Tricia.
"Pag labas ng room mo, nag paalam na lalabas daw s'ya saglit," Ate Aiks answered. "Hindi na rin natin kasabay kakain si Y/N?"
"I think no na, Ate. I'm sorry, I really have to go na," I apologized. They're all hoping na makakakain kami sabay sabay.
"Sana makabalik si Jill maya maya," Tricia said. "I'll try to call her,"
"I'll tingin din po kung makakasalubong ko s'ya pag labas ko," offer ko. Baka mamaya ay nasa labas lang s'ya at makasalubong ko ulit. "I'll go na po, they need me na raw po,"
"Ingat, anak. Text me once makarating sa site if you have time," Tita reminded me.

"I will, Tita."
"Text me if you need anything, kami na ang bahala kina Lian," bilin naman ni Ate Aiks.
Nag paalam ako kay Inay at kay Lian bago tuluyang lumabas ng unit. Tricia is still with me.
"Do you want me to hatid you sa baba?" She offered.
"No na, you enjoy your bonding with them, hmm?" I said. "I'll be safe, promise." I said, assuring her.
She hugged me once again. Parang ayaw na niyang umalis ako. "I need to go, Trish kahit cute ka," I said and laughed.
"Wala bang ibang puwedeng pumunta? Can you stay kahit until after lunch lang?" She asked while still hugging me.
"I can't, Trish. Walang ibang puwede, ako lang," sagot ko. "I'll be back,"
"I'll wait for you, ha?" she said using her very lambing and calming voice.
I nodded and gave her a smile before kissing her forehead.
I waited for the elevator door to open.
It's Jill.
"Your eyes," I whispered nang makita ang mata n'ya.
It's so red na mahahalata mong galing sa iyak.
She tried smiling at me. "Napuwing 'yan, galing ako sa labas," pagdadahilan n'ya. "I bought yakult kasi, oh."
"That's your comfort food," I said while looking sa plastic na hawak n'ya. "You usually drink that when you're sad,"
"Saulo mo pa rin ako," sabi n'ya at yumuko. I saw a tear dropped. She quickly wiped it before looking back at me.
"Can I.. hug you?" She asked.
I opened my arms for her and she quickly ran towards me.
Afterall, Jill is still my bestfriend.
I heard her crying again. When I tried to look at her, mas lalo lang niyang ibinaon ang ulo n'ya sa leeg ko.
"Let it all go, hmm?" I said and rubbed her back.
"I'm gonna fight for you, for us."
"Jill, it's too late. Huli na. Sana.." pilit kong pinipigilan ang luha ko na gusto nang lumabas. "Sana noon pa."
"Hindi ko kayang sumuko," sagot n'ya. "Not now."
I didn't bothered to look at her habang nag lalakad palayo

I can't.
I can't watch her walk away from me..
Again.
I slowly walked papasok sa elevator at doon nag hintay na mag sara 'yon.
When the door closed, tuluyang bumagsak ang luha ko na kanina ko pang pinipigilan.
I am breaking Jill's heart.
And she broke mine too, few years ago.
I'm just hoping na sana.. sana Jill can finally give me the peace of mind I need.
When I was about to go out of the elevator, my phone vibrated. I thought text galing sa secretary ko, but it's from an unknown number.
I just can't handle Tricia's cuteness and yung pagiging clingy n'ya.
I never knew na may ganun siyang side. I always assumed na she's always the serious mode girl, based sa trabaho niya.
Oh, to have a girl like Tricia. Really, I'm the luckiest.
I did the same with Tita Vp, I don't want them to worry about me, especially now na marami rin silang iniisip.
Hindi ko na muna tinext si Jill. I want to give her time. I'm aware how hurt she is right now at ayoko na munang dagdagan 'yon.
I don't want to give her false hope too.
But when I checked my inbox again, ang dami niyang message mula kanina.
Napapikit ako.
Stop making this hard for yourself, Jill.
"Excuse me, let me in,"
One side of the building collapsed. And they're not doing anything about it. Lahat sila nakatingin lang.
"Where's Engr. Valdez?" I asked, trying to calm myself.
"Call him," utos ko.
"But Arki, mahigpit na bilin niya po na wag siyang abalahin tod—"
"I said," I closed my eyes, I need to calm. "Call him, now."
Agad siyang tumakbo palayo habang hawak yung cellphone, trying to reach Engr. Valdez.
I was looking sa nag collapse na side ng building, trying to analyze what happened when someone tapped my shoulders.
"Arki," He said.
It's Miguel.
"What are you doing here? Hindi ba sa office ka?" I asked.
Hindi siya dapat nandito.
And suddenly, I realized something.
I grabbed his collar.
"May kinalaman ka ba rito?"
"What if meron?" He asked and smirked.
"Stop playing with me. Tell me, kayo ba ng tatay mo may gawa nito?"
He suddenly act as if nag iisip siya. "Hmm, I heard this is a one big project for you, Arki. Sobrang importante nito sayo,"
"What do you need? Tell me, lubayan mo na ako,"
I can't lose this project. Pangalan ng company ang nakasalalay dito.
I want to cry. Sa galit, gusto ko na lang maiyak. Pero hindi ko ginawa.
"I worked hard for this, ilang taon ko tong pinaghirapan makuha," I said. "Tell me anong kailangan mo? Just for you to leave me alone,"
"Oh, come on, Arki kalma lang," Inalis n'ya ang pagkakahawak ko sa damit niya at itinulak ako. "We both know what I want,"
"Tangina, Miguel wag ka nang mag sabi ng kung ano ano. Go straight to the point!" Sigaw ko.
He slowly walked towards me at inayos ang buhok ko.
"From what I heard, mukhang importante rin si Doc Tricia sayo,"
Napatingin ako sa kaniya.
"Don't you dare," I warned him.
"You're asking what I want? It's her. I want her,"
I punched him at dumugo ang lower lip niya pero hindi niya 'yon ininda. Tumawa lang siya.
"I wonder, Arki. What will you choose?"
He tapped my shoulders and looked at me sharply.
"Itong pinagtrabahuhan mo ng ilang taon," he said at tinuro 'yong building.
"Give me Doc Tricia, and pababayaan ko 'tong project mo,"
"There's no fucking way I'll let you have Tricia,"
"Say goodbye to your project then." He said at nag lakad papalayo.
"Or what if pati kay Doc Tricia na rin?"
"Stop this shit, I swear Miguel, don't try me."
"I'll destroy you. At kukuhanin ko sayo si Tricia. Mark my words, Arki."

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.
