《Guns and Giggles》19. Date and Death

I woke up with a content sigh as I felt her warmth against me. She was in my arms, I dare say a perfect fit, her lashes tickling my chest.
I tried to move my legs but soon found out I was trapped. Her legs tangled into mine and from the outside it would probably look like she's a koala bear hanging onto me- her branch. My cute little koala bear.
Her delicious lips were parted and a strand of hair tickled her nose. I pushed it away and cupped her jaw, running my thumb over her lower lip, wishing she woke up to kiss me like she does, like there's no knowing what tomorrow holds and every kiss could be our last kiss.
Little be known she did wake up and how did I know that? She licked my thumb. And then sucked on it. Opening her eyes with mirth in them.
'If she sucks your fingers, keep her she's nasty!' Brian's quote flooded into my mind.
Maybe she could she the lust in my eyes as she asked "What are you thinking?"
"I was wondering how do you comb your hair so that your horns don't show, you little devil!"
Her laughter filled the room. "I guess I am the devil, making you sin every moment we are together, traditionally speaking" She rolled away in her blanket.
"Oh please traditionally speaking we are anything but traditional" I rolled her towards me and she giggled having fun in her roll.
[A/n: Honestly this makes me want to roll in my larger than life blanket and pretend someone's hugging me]
[A/n: Side note: I don't like people touching me #ForeverAlone]
"We still have our traditional date to go on" she looked up caged in me.
"Of course, I can't wait to see you in that dress" I kissed her ear.
"And?" She gasped.
"Take it off of you later" I whispered going towards her neck.
"Nice plan! See you at breakfast" She pushed me into the bed and walked into her room as I struggled out of the blanket roll I was seemingly trapped into. How does she do this?
I can't wait to get back at her after I ask her to be mine.
I was happy. Too happy. Too damn happy for my boss apparently.
I got two texts in the burner phone I kept on me.
You are getting too attached. I'm arranging for your death. High command.
I'm sorry I had to, he was there on the scene and I couldn't warn you about him. Please don't be mad at me, I'll bring ice-cream.
The first one was from my boss.
The second one from my dearest Oli who won't be dear anymore. Ice-cream or not.
I knew talking to my boss would be fruitless. He's more likely to come kill me himself than talk to me twice in a day.
So I texted Oli, as soon as I started typing- the realisation hit me. Death. Which means I would have to leave this identity, this place, these people.
Fúck.
And what about that date? With Alexander?
Double fúck.
Suddenly I realized how much Alex actually means to me. Not only Alex but all the people who have given me their love in their own ways. Zach, Steve, Alana, Brian even Michael and Fey.
I guess I could talk to them one last time. I owed atleast that much.
I need time. Chocolate flavored. Family pack.
Tonight, 3 AM.
It's technically tomorrow, so fúck you.
I have a wife that I love thankyou very much ;)
I didn't bother replying. He dare talk about his wife while I was leaving a perfect man as an eligible bachelor for other nasty women!
Okay I'm sorry I shouldn't joke around with that... let's do 4.
:/ Fine.
~•~
I found Michael surprisingly seated on the swing in the back of the house. It was surprising because he was there petting a wolf.
I guess the goodbyes start with him.
"Hey Michael how's the treaty with wakanda coming?" I asked with a smirk.
"Can we stop with the Avengers reference already?" He groaned into the wolf making it alert.
The wolf sniffed the air and then stood up in a challenging stance, as if it would pound any second.
"Hey, Hey! Woah! Wolfie dude... Michael if you really hate them that much I'll stop you don't need to maul me!" I raised my hands and took a step back.
It growled. Michael smirked.
It stepped forward. I almost pissed.
And queue the rambling in 3...2... "Wolfie please do not eat me, I haven't pooped yet ya know? I'm sure you don't want someone with poop in them, I'm a vegetarian anyways! Don't you want something like an egg inside a chicken dinner? Eat him! He even has muscles- oh what am I saying you won't eat him, you like him! Michael please tell your wolf to back down, I was the one who told Alex to get you ice cream! I'm serious, we were together on a somewhat date and I was the one who brought you food! Oh god please don't make me into a food-"
"Ariana stop!" He laughed.
"Hey wolfie" he scratched the wolf's ear, "she's annoying but someone close to me likes her, so I think we should all take a deep breath here..." He chanted.
I sat down on the floor wondering how can I handle being at gunpoint but not a wolf. Mother nature is unpredictable that's why.
Yeah I could easily turn the gun around but I can't eat a wolf.
"Do you... usually hang out... with predators?" I whispered, still panting.

"Yeah sometimes I go for wine tasting with the lioness" Michael joked.
The wolf almost laughed. Wait what? That's it I'm going through temporary trauma and I see wolves laughing.
Michael played with the wolf almost lovingly. Which brought up my next question. "Do you believe in love?"
"Love is just an excuse for responsibility" he scoffed.
"How so?"
"You pretend you love someone and try to show it through taking over different responsibilities and expect them to do the same, when they don't you feel betrayed. If you never loved somebody, you wouldn't feel that way." He stated.
The wolf- somehow looked sad and ran away into the forest. Michael stared into the woods, sadness taking over him as well.
"So you won't care if someone close to you disappeared?" I asked.
"I would get over it, you'd be surprised by how many practice sessions I've already had" he half-joked.
"Well just remember, I'll miss you" I patted his arm and turned around.
"Can't say the same, more ice cream for me!" He swiped my hand away.
I shook my head with a smile and walked back inside, looking for Feyona.
"Hey Fey!" I chirped.
"Pick up those plates and set the table" she gestured.
"You know Feyona I appreciate all you have done for me" I talked following her to the table.
She looked up from placing the glasses and the orange juice.
"I appreciate your manners young lady" Fey smiled a little. "But years of wisdom lead me to believe there's something else." She asked seriously.
"Hey I missed you during the shower you should have been there with me" Alex came up close to my ear and wrapped his arms around my waist.
Giving a last look to Feyona I turned to Alex, "stop being disgusting at the table Alex it's bad manners, isn't it Fey?"
"Yeah, somethings should be kept behind closed doors honey" She patted Alex.
A look of understanding passed between us.
Soon the table was full, jabs passed between the boys like they were little children. Alana and I were thoroughly entertained but soon all of that faded as I felt a hand crawl up on my right thigh.
I slipped my fingers into his and held it in a death grip making him cough against his glass. He glared at me with I gave him a sweet little smile.
"You guys are like goals!" Alana smiled dreamily.
"Oh I don't know if I'll go that far" I laughed.
"I think I will" Alex added.
"Welp would you look at that" Michael pointed to his empty wrist "time for me to go far away from this mush of a crowd" he got up with a mock salute.
"Zach" Alex shook him out of his daydream.
"I'll leave too, have a good day people!" He said over enthusiastically and went towards his room.
Alex was at a loss for words so I nodded at him and followed Zach.
"Hey Zachary!" I slammed the door open. Expecting a cry of frustration over the use of his full name.
"What do you want Ariana" he sighed.
"To get that frown off from your face" I said.
"It's here to stay I'm afraid" Zach replied.
I took a glass and filled it with water and looked through it at Zach bringing the glass at eye level.
"What...are you doing?"
"I'm trying to see if refraction works on frowns but unfortunately the glass is too foggy" I sighed.
This made his lips turn up slightly.
"Ah! So it does work!" I gasped.
"Eureka Eureka" he said mockingly rolling his eyes.
"So kind sir will you help me research this experiment further?" I asked with a smirk.
"What do you propose mi' lady?" I bowed a little.
"A therapy session for the geek from a geek" I gestured to me. The almighty frown returned.
"Let me guess: something broke?"
"It's intangible"
"Maybe your metaphorical heart?" I asked softly.
"Don't take this the wrong way but I'm jealous" he sighed.
"Jealous?"
"Yeah! I wish I could be Michael and not believe in this stuff" he let out a cry of frustration.
"Alex looks finally happy"
I think sappy is the word for him.
"Steve realised he has a crush on Alana" Alex is going to shoot him.
"Brian is taking Fey out on a date-"
"Wait what!" I exclaimed.
"And I am the only one alone, those guys didn't even want someone and suddenly everything's changed, but me- the guy who wanted something like this since he was 10- is the one left out" he flopped on the bed.
I flopped besides him.
"Everything has a time- believe it or not, time for things to start, time for things to end" 4 AM for me.
"Maybe one's ending can be your beginning, in the meantime you should concentrate on the present. This is the only time you can control time, you control what happens now and if is in your best interest. Remember that." I got up but Zach held on to my arm.
"Thankyou" he said sincerely.
I smiled.
"And not only for this but for making Alexander happy, he hasn't been this happy in a long time. We were beginning to think he forgot what it meant." He smiled and kissed my cheek.
I'm sorry Zach.
