《We Weren't Acting》Chapter 56 - Scream it from the rooftops

*Two months later*
I've never been happier.
These past two months have flown by. They were hectic but amazing nun less. Chris and I are still going strong, busy planning our wedding. We both decided that we want a quiet wedding. Therefore, the only people that will attend are our close friends and Christian's mom.
Endlessly has been thriving, they rewarded it movie of the year. Me and Chris were so shocked we had a mini dance party in our apartment.
However, Chris and I were booked like crazy... from live interviews, to podcasts, special appearances, photoshoots for companies that want us to model their product together. We haven't been able to spend one-on-one time just doing nothing.
I thought that the fans would eventually calm down and leave us alone. But nope, It's just getting worse. Everything we do, they have to analyze it.
Getting bombarded is getting very tiring very quickly, I feel like it would be easier if we just told them, instead of keeping it. We are getting married anyway, how can I possibly keep that I'm a married woman?
It will only hurt us. Today when me and Chris get a moment to ourselves, I will sit him down and talk about how I want us to come out as a couple.
It's time to stop hiding, it's time to show the world that I'm utterly in love with my fiance.
As for the depressing topic on hand... my dad.
About a month ago, I got a call late at night when I was getting myself ready for bed. I frowned when it said my mother was calling me. I haven't talked to my mother since Chase's death; she hates my guts.
She cried hysterically over the line and yelled out that they killed my father. They found him lying dead with a stab wound in his chest, lying in an alley. The police found heavy duty drugs stashed on him. From my understanding he probably owed someone money, but he did them wrong.
They haven't found the person who murdered him, and Dante is still nowhere to be found. One night me and Chris were browsing online at houses that are on the market, we both gasped when we saw Dantes apartment for sale.
I hope that he moved far away from here and never returns.
I can't say I'm sad about my father's death, I'm just disappointed. I wished his grief and anger didn't force him to take drugs and lose himself.
My father was never the man that I last saw. He was every child's dream of what their parents would be like. He was amazing to me, my brother, and my mother.
But he lost his soul, and he could never get it back. I still haven't been able to forgive him, but one day I hope that the anger I feel in my chest when I think of him goes away and dies with the memory of his evil ways.
However, Mark is doing amazing, he goes to physiotherapy twice a week. It's strengthened his legs, and he's now able to saunter, but he's definitely improving.
He's still single, I've been trying to hock him up, but he waves me off every single time.
What can I say he's very picky?

I've been trying to keep my mind off the fact that Chris is leaving me soon and flying off to Italy to play a role. Did I mention that it's a romance show, kill me now, right?
I knew this was going to eventually happen, but it doesn't mean that I like it at all. The only thing that's keeping my spirits up is that he's going to marry me.
I scowled when Chris wanted to elope, but I quickly shut down the idea and said I wanted to get married in a church. He was fine with the idea, but wanted to get married as soon as possible.
Therefore, that's why me and Chris are getting married in a month. We have everything set up, and I can't say I did it all by myself, I had a lot of help from his mother.
Chris's mother over the past few months has been everything my mother hasn't been. I love her, and I'm so glad that the feeling is mutual. I will never forget the day she surprised Chris, and we were lounging around in the family room, when she saw all the hate I was getting from bitchy teen fangirls, she nearly stormed up to the local news station and gave them a piece of her mind.
It took me and Chris to both hold her back as she reached the door; I laughed and fell on the floor when I saw her waving her hands in the air, ranting to Chris how he should man up and make his claim.
He whined and said it wasn't only his fault; it was mine too. I agreed with him and confessed to his mom we want to avoid all the pressure that will be brought upon us.
Hearing the door opening and quietly closing, I jump up from my position on the bed, and run to my Fiance where he's waiting for me by the door with his hands extending out.
"Butterfly," he mumbled against my shoulder, squeezing me tight, lifting me up in the air.
"I missed you," I say once I secure myself on the ground. I wound my arms around his neck and gave his lips a peck.
"I was just gone for an hour," he laughed, carrying the groceries to the kitchen and setting the bags on the counter.
Looking through the bags, I smile when I see dark chocolate, I'm a sucker for dark chocolate.
"I know, but that doesn't mean I didn't miss you silly."
Arms wrap around my waist from behind as I lean against the counter and bite into the chocolate bar. "Want some?" I say, reaching my arm back and smiling when he takes a bite.
Chris scrunches up his face and takes a swing of water from my glass I poured earlier for myself. "I don't know how you eat that."
"It's delicious and elegant." I remark, walking around the counter and sitting on the stool as he puts away the groceries.
He hums and gives me a wink over his shoulder. His back tenses as he reaches up and puts away the pasta boxes on the top shelf.
He's mouth watering. My favourite thing about Chris's physical appearance is his hair. Every night he falls asleep against my chest as I run my fingers through his brown silky short curls. I catch myself watching the way it moves when he moves around the kitchen, and another plus is that his locks always smell clean.

His abs, back muscles and his forearms, and let's not forget to mention the veins on his arms are a bonus.
"I got followed in the grocery store today," Chris admits once he's finished putting everything away. He takes a seat beside me and starts munching on some chips.
I know what everyone must think, if your celebrities why go shopping when you can have someone go for you? Lucky me and Chris are very alike and we rather both live our lives as normally as possible. So that includes going grocery shopping.
Mustering up the courage, I take a deep breath and play nervously with the blanket wrapped around my body. "Chris, I want to talk to you about something important."
Turning his body to face me, he gives me a wary look, "What's up?"
"I'm exhausted of keeping our relationship a secret. Not going to lie, I liked it in the beginning, but not now, especially since we're getting married. I feel like a weight will lift off our shoulders if we told the fans. We wouldn't have to hide, and our relationship is already so strong that I'm not even worried that they're going to mess up our relationship anymore. I'm tired of hiding, I want to call you my husband." I rant, stress oozing out of my voice as I nervously look to Chris.
A smile lifts my entire face as I find a giant smile on his face. "You really mean that?" he asks hopefully.
I nod and wipe the relieved tear that trails down my face, that's glowing with happiness.
"Yes!" he exclaims and jumps on me on the couch. I let out an "oof," and a laugh when his body slams on mine making my head hit the handrest hard. "I'm so happy!"
My hands play with my obsession as I agree, "Me too, how are we going to do this?"
He jumps off of me and takes off to the kitchen.
He's such a child... I swear.
He runs back with his phone in hand and jumps back on the couch beside me and opens up Instagram.
He clicks the button to make a new post and scrolls down his camera roll. His scrolls stop when he clicks on a picture that Mark took of us two when he caught us in a moment.
I instantly fell in love with the picture when Mark sent it to me, me and Chris are cuddled up on the couch, I turn my face up as I laugh at him while he's smiling down at me.
"What are you doing?" I ask him while he taps the photo and starts writing a caption.
He explains while his fingers continue typing on his phone, "Now all it takes is an Instagram post."
I wait patiently as he types up a whole paragraph that's soon going to be seen by most of the world.
With a satisfied nod, he hands me his phone after he's done proof reading his message.
I smile down at the phone getting emotional at the thought of us finally confirming our relationship. I smile up at Chris and start reading his post.
I never thought I would write something like this, but here we are. Filming Endlessly was a blessing in disguise. The people I met while filming and the fanbase showed me so much love the whole time. However, the best thing I could have ever asked for happened while filming, I met my soulmate. A lot of our fans have been pressuring us to be in a relationship. We weren't dating at the beginning of shooting the movie. But after long nights of filming me and Lola grew closer, we realized that we're very similar, and I couldn't have been more grateful to work with someone like her. Eventually, after spending so much time with each other, we fell in love. She makes me the happiest man in the world, and I cannot thank God enough that I got this role. We two both decided that we were going to keep our relationship to ourselves to avoid pressure. However, after thinking hard and going through some life struggles, we want to let the entire world know that we're an item. I'm so utterly in love with Lola wilston, and I hope all of you can understand that we would appreciate our privacy. Thank you so much for all the love and support me and Lola appreciate you.
Sniffling, I smile up at Chris and nod, "I love it," I whisper up at him.
"Ready to do this," he asks, looking at me with some much love.
"I'm ready," I agree.
Both of our fingers hover over the post button. Once both of the tips of our fingers touch the cold screen, it sends the post out, Chris shuts down his phone and kisses me hard.
"Now I can scream from the balcony you're mine," he says, his voice full of joy.
We both run to the balcony and step out into the hot LA air.
Chris runs to the railing and peeks a look at me from over his shoulder. He takes a deep breath and screams out with a smile, "Lola Wilston is the love of my life!"
He laughs and runs back over to me as people turn their heads up because of Chris's sudden commotion.
"I love you," he says, pulling me into his chest once we're seated on the couch.
'I'm so glad I played Sky."
He kisses my nose and mumbles against my smiling lips, "I'm so glad I played Oliver."
I know I said yesterday that there will be 3-4 chapters left. But after not being able to sleep last night, I decided that this will be the last chapter. But of course there will be an epilogue.
I know it sucks and I'm really sorry, but I need to end it here because it's the perfect place to start off book 2!
Please don't be mad! In the second book you're going to see how Lola struggles with Chris begging gone.
Makes sure to follow my insta every day I'm posting stuff about my books on there!
Peace out, till tomorrow...
Xoxo, Lexi
