《We Weren't Acting》Chapter 54 - Mini Chris

I flinch back scoffing when a mascara wand almost stabs me in the eye. "Watch it," I sneer out as the hair lady grabs a piece of my hair and starts curling it. I cringe at the sight of steam coming from the hot iron. There goes my hair...

When you have multiple people surrounding you doing different things, it gets a little too much. I would have gladly gotten myself ready for the premier, but Liam being the baby, it makes him a whole crew fix me up. He sassed me and I quote, "You need a lot of fixing that calls for professional help." But don't worry, he got a mouth full from Chris after his insult.

I'm so glad my man is protective, I don't have to fight my battles alone anymore, he will be by my side holding my hand.

Looking in the mirror after all the "help" I needed, I smile fondly at myself. I look beautiful, my long hair is lightly curled, my skin is glowing because of the makeup on my face. My navy dress is long and tight, showing off my long legs, seeing that it has a slit going mid thigh.

I smooth my hand over the silky fabric that fits like a second skin. My mind is screaming at me that Chris is going to flip, I can't wait to see his face. Sitting down on a chair now alone in my dressing room, I slip on my black three-inch heels.

I lean back in the chair when I feel mini tornados bouncy around in my stomach. This is the first time I'm seeing the full movie done. Not to mention watch it with a stadium full of fans and walk down the red carpet. I know that I'm a celebrity and I've been one for most of my life, but that doesn't mean that I like the spotlight.

Many people call me weird, but I like to call myself special.

A single tap on the door catches my attention, "Come in," I call out. My lips pull up into a smile once I see my sunshine peck his head through the crack of the door, giving me a sexy grin.

"Well hello butterfly," he pauses, looking me up and down and whistling, "You look outstanding."

Standing up, I meet him halfway, "You look marvellous."

"Ravishing," he states, pulling my hips with firm hands.

My gaze travels to the door and I'm satisfied when I see it's already closed. Hocking my arms around his neck, my fingers play with the hair on the nape of his neck.

"Your drool worthy," I whisper as his lips advance to tango with mine but I quickly pull away, "Nope the lipstick," pointing my finger in his chest when he tries again, "This took an hour buddy don't ruin it because I'm the one that's going to get in trouble."

He whines and throws his head back, "But I want to, they look so plump and," he pauses and looks down, "Shit."

Worry builds up in the pit of my stomach, "What's wrong?" I say walking closer to him but frown when he steps back.

He glances down shyly, running his fingers through his perfectly styled hair making it more messy, "I have a minor problem."

"Tell me."

He shifts uncomfortably on the balls of his feet and walks fast towards the door, making sure it's locked. With his back facing me he shyly speaks, "Seeing you so beautiful and sexy has gotten a junior me a little excited."

Oh... OH

Does he want me to take care of him? I can't do that!

The awkward idiot I am only saying, "Oh."

Chris strides to me and backs me up into the wall, "We have five minutes, please." he states and pleads.

Feeling the growing bulge, I gasp and gaze into his heated stare. His brow is frowned and jaw tight as he advances to grind into my lower half, I dash out of the way.

"Chris," I warn.

Smacking his forehead lightly on the wall where he is currently leaning on uncomfortable, he grits out, "Go to Liam, I'll be out in a second."

I feel bad just leaving him here like this, but he better know that he needs to solve that problem by himself. I mean, for crying out loud we're about to be on stage with thousands of people watching us from afar and up close.

Sauntering, I try not to fall on my face because of the long heals I'm wearing. "Lola," a voice calls out from behind me. Turing my head in the direction I spot Liam waving me over.

"Hey Liam," I say kindly once I reach where he stands in the middle of the hallway.

Totally ignoring my greeting he looks over my shoulder clearly stressed out, "Have you seen Chris, I went to his dressing room and he's not there."

Oh, I saw him alright.

I shake my head and give my boss a small smile, "Sorry I didn't. Why are you panicking?"

"I need you two walking down the red carpet in two minutes, and Chris is nowhere."

I feel bad lying to Liam, but I definitely won't share what Chris is currently doing in my dressing room.

Putting my hand reservedly on his shoulder, I give it a small squeeze, "Panicking will only make things worse, breathe and relax. It's not the end of the world we'll find him."

I spin around on my heels when I hear footsteps running at a quick pace towards me and Liam.

Well, that was quick...

I smile and chuckle knowingly as I spot Chris's bashful face. "Where were you?" Liam asked, annoyed.

I put my right hand on my hip and tilt my head to the slide, "Yah Chris, where were you?"

He sends me a glare then smiles at Liam, "I had to take a piss."

"You're on in sixty seconds," a backstage lady says to us while passing us, then speaking quickly back in her earpiece.

"Let's go," and with that call we follow Liam's retreating form towards the red carpet.

"Lola, you look beautiful tonight."

"Chris, you look sexy!"

"Are you guys dating?"

"Are you guy's in love?"

Is all shouted at the same time as me and Chris stand beside each other posing for pictures on the red carpet. Multiple flashes of cameras from every direction blind me. I try to keep the smile on my face as we get bombarded with questions, but It's difficult.

This is one of the major reasons I sometimes hate who I am, events like these with photographers.

We move further down the red carpet, closer towards where our fans are standing behind a fence.

"Look, there they are!"

"I love you guys!"

"They would make such a cute couple!"

"Imagine their babies!"

"That bitch better not be dating my man."

Looking over towards Chris, I see him fighting off the grimace that's fighting his smile for dominance.

"This is brutal," he whispers in my ear, camera flashes snapping even faster now trying to get the moment of me and Chris.

"You can say that right," I whisper under my breath while taking in the crowd with a smile.

The fans all look very lovely today, dressed in dresses and suits, well it is a fancy gathering...

Me and Chris give a wave to the excited fans, and I smile extra hard at some fans who are crying, while trying to reach out and touch us as we pass.

They're adorable... well, most of them are.

I let out a sigh of relief once I'm out of sight, "You two looked good out there." Liam says approvingly.

"Everyone is very overwhelming." I whisper to Chris as Liam leads us to our seats.

"Tell me about it," he whispers back as he places a hand on the bottom of my back... Cue in the butterflies.

Walking towards a step staircase going up, Liam lets me go up first and Chris following my lead. "The two of you will sit here, I'll sit on the other side with the backstage members. I hope you enjoy the movie. You two did a phenomenal job. I'm very proud of you." with that and a small smile he leaves the viewing box.

The entire crew is seated on the top floor, away from prying eyes. I don't know if Liam did this on purpose, but he seated me and Chris alone... I must thank him for that.

I stare in amazement as I walk towards the balcony overlooking the first floor. The red beautiful theatre seats with the detailed gold designs all over the whole theatre are stunning. A smile over takes my face as I realize that I'm finally going to watch the movie me and Chris fell in love in.

"Stunning, right?" Chris asks while closing the curtains to the entry engulfing us in our own bubble.

"Stunning," I agree. Looking back at him, I see him walking towards me. He rests his chin on top of my head and wraps his arms around my waist. Thankfully, the theatre is dark so no one can see us, and especially no fans.

It takes twenty minutes for the whole theatre to fill up with fans once it does the big screen plays the opening commercials.

Chris extends his hand out to me, I smile and place my normal sized hand in his giant one. Leading the two of us to the couch in the middle of the booth, he pulls me down on it and wraps his arm around my shoulder as Endlessly begins playing, earning several screams of excitement from the crowd.

"This is it," I say, glancing up at Chris from where my head lies on his chest.

Leaning down, he places a light, innocent kiss on my lips, "I love you."

"I love you too."

***

Half way through the movie, I can't take my eyes away from the big screen. Endlessly came together better than I ever expected. Me and Chris play Oliver and Sky's part so perfectly you can't even tell that you're watching a movie, it feels like you're watching a reality TV show.

My heartbeat would beat faster than I thought was healthy when our kissing scenes would start. Liam would squeeze me and give me a playful wink when all the fans would start screaming different things. I even saw a few of them get kicked out for recording it illegally.

My attention gets averted to Chris as I watch him pull at his black tie.

Did I tell you how stunning he looks today/ Black suit that fits his body like a second skin, white tight dress shirt, and slacks that show off his muscular long legs. His brown curly hair tamed, but still giving off a sexy look.

How can this man look so good in sweats and dressy clothes too? It's not fair.

"I love you, you know that right?" Chris says nervously, twisting his body to the edge of the couch facing me.

I nod, mini tornados bouncing in my stomach again. "Is everything okay?"

Smiling, he nods and grabs my hands, "I've loved no one in my life how I love you. Lola, you mean everything to me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Being around you feels like a breath of fresh air. You're the star in my midnight sky, your the beat of my heart." he says full of love.

My heart skips a beat.

Tears rush to his beautiful eyes as he grips my hand tighter, "Baby, I got a job, another acting job. I'll be away for a little while, I haven't accepted it yet I wanted to get your approval." I'm about to interrupt but he specks over me, "If I take the job, I must leave in a year. But I don't want to leave without making something final."

Getting down on one knee in front of where I sit on the couch, he reaches into his suit pocket and pulls out a black ring box.

"Lola Wilston, will you make me the happiest man and marry me?"

Ummmm, so that just happaned...

What do you think Lola's going to say?

Chris has to move away for a little while, I don't like that :(

I have a question, how would you guys feel about a book 2?

I have so many ideas running through my head.

Makes sure to follow my insta every day I'm posting stuff about my books on there!

Peace out, till tomorrow...

Xoxo, Lexi
