《We Weren't Acting》Chapter 52 - Husband material

"I have a better Idea, move in with me?"

Someone pinch me, am I dreaming?

"What?" I ask, dumbfounded.

"Move in with me," he repeats.

He's not asking, he's demanding. Wow that's hot.

I love Chris, but am I ready to move in with him. Would that be moving too fast, would this break us?

Loving the idea of waking up every morning with his arm over my waist, while he snuggles into my body. I smile at the thought of making breakfast, lunch and dinner together every day. I smile at the thought that his voice would be the last thing I hear at night, and the first thing I hear when I wake up.

My eyes scan over his face, dark eyes, plump lips, and his dark eyebrows.

He's gorgeous, I could look at his defined, structured face all day.

The moment our lips first touched, I knew he was the one; I didn't feel sparks; I felt fireworks.

He's not dating material, he's husband material.

Chris bites his lip slightly, waiting for my thoughts.

"How would this work?"

He smiles, showing me his lovely dimples, then he explains what he has in mind with excitement.

"We would get all your stuff and move them into my place, but it would be our place now. You'll put your Condo on the market that way you can make money since you're getting robbed from. It's perfect." Chris doesn't miss a beat.

I swallow tightly, not one hundred percent certain yet. So I do what I always do best... ask questions.

"What will happen to the fans, they're surely going to ask questions once they see us always together."

"Who says they're going to find out?" He straightens up, looking at me proudly.

I laugh, patting his chest, "Were talking about the same fans right? The ones who found out the cast before it was even out?"

He gives me a cute pout, making his lips look even more delicious, "Pretty please with a cherry on top?"

I say nothing and keep my face blank.

"Please?" he continues to beg, pulling my body harder against his on the small hospital chair.

"Please," dragging out the "e" he squeezes me even tighter.

Not wanting to give up so easily, but already knowing what my end answer will be, I continue to tease him, liking the way he's begging.

"I don't know," I trail off.

He sighs dramatically and drops his forehead on my shoulder, "What's the problem?"

"The fans, paparazzi." I listened softly. Grabbing my hips harder, my heart flutters when my eyes meet his heated gaze. "Who gives a heck what the world thinks? Let them talk butterfly, as long as we're together that's all that matters," he says matter-of-factly.

He looks down where his hands meet my waist, "You're all that matters."

Clearing my thoughts, I try to process what I'm about to say before it leaves my lips, "My father doesn't know about you, it's best if we keep it that way."

He raises an eyebrow, clearly confused, "Why's that?"

Letting out a sigh, I place my head on his chest, searching for the sound that I love most, his heartbeat.

"You'll just be one more person on his hit list."

Silence fills the room as Chris absorbs my new statement.

"I don't know what to say," he whispers against the top of my head, placing a soft kiss on my forehead, he whispers, "We'll do whatever makes you comfortable."

I nod, smiling fondly, "Thank you Chrissy."

I pull away, confused when I hear shuffling coming from behind us. Me and Chris snap out of our own world we were in when we see Mark's eyes shifting to the new brightness.

Hopping off of Chris's lap, I stroll to Mark's bedside and grab his boney fragile hand.

His blood-shot eyes meet mine, I give him the best smile I can muster, "Hey munchkin."

Groggy sounds come out instead of the words he was trying to say. He winces and squeezes his eyes tightly.

"Don't worry, it's okay, I'll call a nurse," I say as I reach up over him and press the red help button that alerts the nurses when a patient needs help.

Nodding with his eyes still closed, he grips my hand harder. My once sunny smile that was on my face from seeing my best friend awake, now's turned down in a frown.

Once tingle teardrop falls slowly down his bruised face, I look back at Chris who's looking back at me with a concerned look.

I reach out and gently wipe the moisture from his face, "I'm here now, you're safe." I whisper against his ear and feel him nod.

"So what do you say?" Chris asks from beside me.

We're currently sitting in the car surrounded in an empty parking lot. My mood suddenly soared down when the doctor delivered us bad news.

Yes, Mark is alive, but the chances of him being able to walk again are slim. My chest tightens just thinking about how Mark will feel being restricted in a wheelchair.

It's all my fault... It's all my fault.

My depressing thoughts get interrupted by the sound of a phone ringing. Not recognizing the ring tone as my own, I look over to Chris and see him accepting a call and putting it on speaker.

"Hey Ty," Chris says with a smile out loud, clearly happy to be talking to his friend.

"Hey bro, I got some bad news."

Chris looks over to me then back at the phone resting on his lap, "What's going on?"

Hearing a sigh over the line, I bite my lip, an action I notice I do when I'm nervous.

"I feel like I'm always the one to deliver bad news," he pauses letting out a sigh, "I hate to break it to you but search up the latest gossip magazine, you guys are the stars."

Chris's face scrunches up in anger, he pinches his nose, "Alright man thanks for letting me know."

Right after they hang up, Chris throws his phone on the dashboard of the car, bangs his head repetitively hard against the headrest.

That's going to hurt later...

I reach out and touch his tense shoulder, "Why are you freaking out?"

His head whips over in my direction as he stares widely at me, "Because I know what's posted for everyone in the world to see."

"Care to enlighten me?" I ask innocently.

I run my fingers through his hair and swoon because of the feel of his soft locks.

He groans and grabs his phone and goes to work in searching up the news article. "Great," he mumbles out loud, slapping the searing wheel he hands me the phone.

I grab it with shaking hands, my heartbeat quickness. If Chris acted out like this it must be bad, he's always so calm and understanding.

Taking a deep breath, I gulped seeing the two headline pictures, Chris crying on a balcony and the lovely picture of me crying when I ran away to my father.

One last glance I take at a stiffened Chris, I look back down at the phone and read out loud.

"Breaking news, the two major leads starring in the upcoming movie Endlessly, we're spotted both emotionally distressed. Fans have been forcing and pushing these two stars to get together and make their fantasies come true. However, what are the odds we saw them both crying on the same day? Fans say they've spotted Christian's ring looped around Lola's neck on a chain. Is this couple finally together, or are they breaking apart under the pressure already?"

I grimaced as soon as I finished reading the article out loud.

Peaking a glance from the corner of my eye, I spotted Chris's tense body.

"You know what makes me mad the most?" he breaks the silence with a firm voice.

I nod once our eyes meet, "What makes me the most mad is this is exactly what you didn't want." he continues grabbing my hand and rubbing circles on my palm. Squirming in my seat, I let out a chuckle, "That tickles?" he asks, smiling softly as he continues the torture on my hand.

My chuckles turn into laughs as I yank my hand away from his, "Yes, stop it." I exclaim.

Silence fills the car when my laughs settle down, keeping my gaze forward. I clarify, "Were actors this happens, this is just a gossip magazine that most people know is fake ninety-five percent of the time."

"Your dad's going to see." he said blankly.

"He already saw us together on the face time call. He knows we're on tour together, but that doesn't mean that we're an item."

"Alright," he trails off, his voice hinting with disbelief.

I reach over and grab his face and bring it close to my own, "Now about that offer of moving into your place, is that still available or?" I trail off, while placing a kiss against his cheek that lifts against my lips.

"I don't know, I must check in with my roommates," he teases.

Wrapping my arms around his neck I smile against his lips, "Make sure you let me know soon though, I'm a popular girl."

Before our lips can connect in a kiss I've been dying for the moment they last touched Chris whispers, "We have to leave tomorrow morning for the tour."

Really? He has to kill the mood like that?

I groan and throw my head back away from his lips, "You're such a mood killer."

Honestly, wasn't a huge fan of today's chapter... I hate writer's block.

I guess it was more of a filler.
