《We Weren't Acting》Chapter 47 - Hearing aid

Screams fill the room as me and Chris wait backstage for our time on stage.

Today's our first Q&A of the Endlessly tour, our first stop is Toronto. We're currently standing backstage in a medium-sized theatre. More people than I had expected showed up, Liam's coming on stage with us too, he's the one who's going to read out the questions the fans have submitted.

Slightly nervous about what's coming, I wipe my sweaty hands against my red sundress, and tuck a long, curly lock of my hair behind my ear.

"Nervous?" Chris whispers beside me, glancing straight ahead.

"Yes," I answer innocently.

He nods and stares down at me, "Same," he answers softly.

Suddenly startled by a loud clap of someone's hands from behind me, I grab onto Chris's forearm and turn my body towards the noise. "Let's get this party started."

Chris scoffs, "You didn't need to scare us like that."

Liam gives us a shrug and looks down at the clipboard in his hand, "Not my fault you guys are so jumpy lately, why is that by the way?" he states and questions all at once.

Chris looks down at me, I shake my head slightly. He straitens up and looks back at our boss, "Nothing that would concern you."

"Two minutes," a lady's voice booms over the intercom.

"You two listen up," Liam starts, "When we walk on the stage you introduce yourselves, then you sit in the two chairs beside each other. I will then proceed to asking you guy's questions, that clear?"

"Yes," Comes from both me and Chris.

"Great, get ready." is all he says before he turns and faces his body towards the stage.

Looking over at Chris, I can't help but admire him. Black cargo pants tame his long legs and accompanied by a simple, tight black tee. His brown hair is wavy but tamed. Something I've learned about Chris is that he likes his hair free, and what I mean by that is he doesn't like products in it.

His sharp jaw that can cut through ice is covered by a 5'oclouck shadow. Today I nearly fainted when I saw the slight facial hair grow on his face, Chris is handsome with a clean-shaven face, but with slight stubble it makes him look more manly.

This morning I caught him before he could drag the razor across his cheek. He gave me a questioning look through the mirror when I grabbed the shaver from his hand, "What are you doing butterfly let me shave?"

Rubbing his jaw, I smile at the slight pricks I feel over the skin of my hand, "I think you should keep it like this, you look fantastic."

"Yah?" he questions raising an eyebrow, "Yah," I say back wrapping my arms around his neck and placing my lips on his own... well the rest you don't need to know.

"Introducing the stars in the upcoming movie Endlessly, Lola Wilston, and Christian Smith!" Liam yells into the microphone from where he stands in the middle of the stage. Snapping out of my daydreams, I give Chris a smile as we step onto the stage.

Screams fill the theatre as me and Chris step into sight of the awaiting fans, I give a wave as my eyes glance all around me.

There's at least one thousand fans here, mostly girls but some miserable-looking guys. My guess is they were forced to come by their girlfriends or sisters.

I blow a kiss to the audience as me and Chris take a seat in the leather couch placed in the middle of the stage.

Liam hands Chris and I each a microphone, "How's everyone doing?" my adorable boyfriend exclaims into it, his voice vibrating against the walls, I see most girls fanning themselves as they listen to Chris's manly voice.

"Thank you so much for everyone for coming today," I say politely with a smile, as I wave at a little girl who waves and turns shyly once our gazes meet.

"Alright settle down," Liam says through the screaming and yelling, "If everyone settles down we can get on with the questions."

At that call everyone lowers their voices, except for that one odd person who continues yelling. Laughing softly to myself, I glance over and find Chris already looking at me with an amused glint in his eyes.

"Alright first question is by Faith," Liam starts off, "She wants to know what was your favourite scene to film?"

Knowing my favourite scene that I acted out in, I gesture with my hand for Chris to go first.

He nods and rubs his chin with a thoughtful look on his face, "My favourite scene," he trails off, "I think my favourite would have to be the movie night one, that scene showcased when Oliver and Sky developed their relationship," he finishes with a smile.

"Lola how about you?"

Glancing towards the crowd, I glanced at Chris and let out a sneaky smile, "The best scene by far is the scene where Oliver comes home drunk. It was really amusing seeing Chris act like a dummy."

Fans let out loud laughs and whistles. He smiles at me, looking at the room surrounding us.

He's so adorable I want to pinch his cheeks.

"Next question comes from Sophia, what were your first thoughts of each other?"

"My first thought was I really had to step up my game while acting beside Christian, acting to Chris comes naturally and easy." I state gazing over at him.

"Why thank you," he fake bows his torso, "My first thought of Lola was that I'm going to look like an armature acting beside her." I shake my head, returning his amused look.

"Your so stupid," I whisper, while hiding my mouth from the fans with the back of hand.

He smiles widely and shrugs his shoulders.

"Next question comes from Dante, he asks would you date a fan?"

Dante?

It has to be another Dante asking that question, right?

Chris visibility stiffness and looks around the crowd, trying to scope out the crowd for the big muscular man.

Chris looks puzzled, "No, I wouldn't date a fan." he answers dryly.

I nod at Liam and agree with Chris, "Same I wouldn't date a fan, I don't think it would end too well."

I blank off as Liam hypes up the crowd, an uneasy feeling clouds my stomach. Is it a coincidence that someone named Dante asked a question like that? Maybe he's mad about Chris and I's relationship more than he lets on.

"Next question is from Olivia, she wants to know if you guys have developed any romantic feelings towards each other while filming?" Liam looks down at his clipboard, trying to hide the grin overtaking his face.

Of course, I knew a question like this would be asked...

"People naturally think that when you act romantically with some in a movie, you'll eventually develop feelings towards one another, however this was not the case for myself and Lola. Our relationship started off as a working one, and now it's a friendship one." Chris clarifies, "Want to add anything?" he asks looking over at me.

I shake my head and glance back over to the "aweing" fans.

Some fans are making pouty faces and some are fist bumping the air.

It's taking so much strength staying in my seat and not screaming to the entire world that Christian's mine.

"Last question of the day," Liam says, and the crowd boos, "Rachael wants to know if there will be a second movie?"

"The first movie hasn't even come out yet, and you're asking about a second?" Chris exclaims, with an amused expression.

I interrupt with a hand on his shoulder, "To answer your question Rachael-" I'm cutoff by a girl screeching loudly, "She said my name!"

Laughing and shaking my head I continue, "As I was saying we have no idea if there will be a second movie, it all depends how well the first one does."

***

Today was an endless day, I might need hearing aids at the end of the tour because of all the screams the fans let out.

I get there excited, but do they really need to scream when they see Chris running his hands through his hair casually?

Actually, I kind of get it because I get butterflies with the simplest gestures Chris does.

After the Q&A, me and Chris had a two-hour lunch break, which we spent an hour in our hotel room just relaxing and eating.

Then we had to go to the local bookstore and do a book signing. It was wonderful seeing all the fans.

My mouth hurts a lot from all the smiling I was doing from taking pictures with fans. They carried one fan out of the bookstore when she threw herself at Chris. He screeched and jumped up to hide behind me.

I'm so going to make fun of him later for that.

I sigh in relief as my back hits the soft mattress, "Lying down has never felt so good." I mumble, squishing my face in my pillow, I smile when I feel the bed dip beside me. Chris wraps his arm around my waist and pulls my body flush against his.

"Today was a long day," he grumbles against my head.

I nod, agreeing with him, "Hearing girls screaming all day gave me a headache."

I pull away from his grasp, earring a groan for him, I cross my legs in front of me and pat my lap.

With a raised eyebrow he asks, "You want me to sit on your lap?"

"No, idiot, put your fat head in my lap and I'll message it for you," I say and he shakes his head.

Once his head's placed in my crisscrossed lap, I began massaging his temples.

"Yess," he trails off, hanging his mouth open in pleasure.

"I love your beard on you," I say while adding pressure to his head and staring down at him.

"Really, I don't, it's kind of itchy."

"You can shave if it's not comfortable, I was just saying it was new seeing you like this."

He opens his eyes and smiles up at me, "If you like it I'm keeping it."

I nod and give him a peck on the nose.

My mind wanders off thinking about the question asked by someone named Dante today at the Q&A.

"Don't you think that was weird today?" I ask.

"What was weird?" was all he said, and I sighed .

"That someone by the name of Dante asked that question, was that a coincidence?"

"I wouldn't put anything past Dante," his chest rumbling as he speaks.

Not being able to respond, I nod and continue my moments on Chris's temples.

"Any news on the cops?" I ask, not really wanting to know the answer, but trying to make conversation.

"Nothing," is all he says, pushing his face farther into my legs.

When I let out a laugh, he opens one eye and stares up at me in question, "What are you laughing at butterfly?"

I shrug, "Just how adorable you are, you're like a little puppy." I say pinching his cheeks, slapping my hand away lightly he grumbles, "That's exactly what a guy wants to be called," he pauses and shivers, "adorable, and puppy."

It cuts our playful bickering when my phone lights up with a face time call from Mark.

Handing Chris the phone, I tell him to hold the phone up while I keep messaging him.

His long thumb slides over the accept button.

Little did I know that face time call was the worst call I would ever receive in my life.

Sorry not sorry, hehehe.
