《We Weren't Acting》Chapter 46 - My slob look?

Every day this past week, I've been getting more notes and weird drawings of skulls.

Chris contacted the police and filed a report. So far they've found nothing. It's like their ghosts, hiding in the shadows and attacking once the coast is clear.

Mark is doing well and healthy, he got brand new black glasses. He hates them, he says, and I quote, "they make me look like a nerd."

Scoffing I told him that a lot of girls like cute guys in glasses, makes them "Sexier" he screeched and hit me on the shoulder and said, "You find me sexy bitch!"

Ladies and gentlemen, my best friend Mark...

Today's the day Chris, Liam and I are leaving for our first stop on the Endlessly tour. Jumping with joy while packing my suitcase, the first city were visiting is Toronto, the city I was born in.

I can't wait to feel the cold air blow against my face and drink my entire body weight in Ice Capps.

"I'm going home Chris, I can't wait." I exclaim into the phone, placing the phone in between my shoulder and ear, I continue folding and neatly placing everything in my suitcase.

"I can't wait to see where you grew up." he replied.

"Have you ever had Tim Hortons?" I ask and there's some movement on the other end.

"I have not."

I gasp and clutch my phone tighter in my hand in mock shock, "How am I dating someone who hasn't had Timmy's before?"

"I'll have Timmy's in a couple hours drama queen."

"That's why I make such a talented actress," I remark.

"Your ego is huge," he says, dragging out the "e".

Laughing, I glance over my shoulder to the wall clock, I curse and start rushing my actions of packing, "I have to go babe, the time got away from me."

He pauses on the line, "What time do we have to be at the airport by?" his voice is hesitant.

"In an hour."

"Shit," he exclaims static filling the line, "I thought the flight was later tonight, I thought you were just being a freak and packing early." he says panicked before hanging up on me.

I laugh and throw my phone lightly on my bed. It bounces and smacks down onto the floor.

I groan, not liking the idea of breaking and needing a new phone right before leaving for the tour. I hesitantly walk towards where my phone lays, screen down.

Great, just my luck that it has to land screen down.

Crouching down, I pick it up and pray before I turn around. Finding no cracks, I do a merry dance and quickly finish my packing.

"Ladies and gentleman, the entire crew welcomes you to Toronto, Ontario. The local time is eleven a.m. For your safety and all those around you, please stay seated with your seatbelt fastened and keep the aisles clear until we are parked at the gate." A flight attendant announces through the intercom.

"Were here," I say happily, glancing out the tiny window of the airplane. I smile when I see the familiar cityscape of my home.

Chris leans over my shoulder and peeks out the window, "It looks really beautiful from up here."

I turn my head towards him and lean back against my seat, "You should see it from down there, beautiful skyscrapers, the little shops and markets, and the energy is so amazing." I gush, "I wish Mark could be here though, he would be happy to be back home too."

Chris clasps my hand in his own and gives it a squeeze, "He needs his rest, yes he might be better, but the doctor said no travelling."

I let out a sigh, and give my boyfriend a smile, "I know, I know, thank you for always being so positive."

"What can I say, you bring out the positivity in me."

I smile but before I can reply Liam speaks up, "I know I said I ship you guys as a couple, but please shut up before I throw myself out of this plane. Can't deal with this lovey dovey shit." he places his earphones back in his ears and closes his eyes, "I heard you guys through my damn head phones." he mumbles.

"Who gave him a wedgie?" I whisper in Chris's ear. He chuckles against my shoulder and kisses the skin, "I love your sense of humour."

I pout and fake sadness, "That's all that you love about me?"

He places his lips against my ear, and I let out a shiver when I feel his fiery breath against my skin, "I could go on all day about why I love you."

"Could you now?" I whisper back.

"Want me to start?"

"God no," Liam exclaims from in front of us, "When is this damn plane going to land?" he yells.

"Put your sunglasses on the top of your head," Chris whispers in my ear, I give him a questioning look but do as he says. When I place my sunglasses on top of my head, he continues to a confused-looking Liam, "Sorry we can't hear you because we have our hater blockers on." Chris pushes down his sunglasses onto his nose as I do the same.

Liam looks blankly at us and gives us the bird, Chris puckers his lips and gives him the peace sign.

"I hate you guys," Liam mumbles as the pilot announces over the intercom that we are now landed and able to take off our seatbelts.

Stepping off the private plane, I look over my shoulder at Chris who's strolling slowly behind me weighed down from carrying my bags.

"Are you sure you don't want me to help you?"

He smiles down at me and bumps his shoulder with mine, "I'm sure butterfly, let's just get to the car."

Giving him a nod, I check him out when walking to the car.

Even in the simplest clothes, Chris looks drool worthy.

Black baggy sweatpants cover his long legs, a black baggy hoodie covers his torso, his hair messy under his Toronto Maple Leafs snapback, and the same silver chain hung around his neck accompanied by one simple ringer on his finger.

"I can feel your heated stare," Chris jokes, stopping his steps, waiting for me to catch up. Once I reach him, he pulls me into his side and kisses my temple.

"What if someone sees?"

"We booked this part of the airport just for us, no one can see or come in." he states, tightening his hands around my waist.

After the car crash that was the last strand for Chris, he got me a bodyguard, his name is Luke, he's really nice but looks very intimidating. I also got a driver, which I did not want, but Chris didn't care and said it was for my safety. He also made Liam book a part of the airport so we can safely walk out without being crowded by people.

Once we're seated in the black Range Rover that was scheduled to pick us up, I turn to Chris and explain our plans. "Once we get settled in our hotel room, I'm going to take you all over the city and show you the best spots, Expect an Ice Capp in your near future."

"Sounds fun, Luke is going to come with us though."

I stare up at him, "Does he have to come? I want to spend time alone with you and not having someone peering at us the whole time."

"It's for your safety." he says, leaving no room for arguing.

Luke took a flight down here two days ago, setting up a few things for me and Chris.

I ramble, "Guess you don't want to be alone with me, I get it I'm a sore sight."

He places his hand down on my thigh and squeezes. I look down at his hand and shake the thoughts that are forming in my mind.

"Isn't that the best thing you've ever tasted in your life?" I state looking over at Chris as he sucks the lukewarm coffee through the straw and into his mouth.

Once he swallows he stared down at it in awe, "This is amazing, it's like heaven in my mouth." he says before chugging half of it down.

"Easy there, tiger," I laugh, running my hands through his wavy hair.

Me and Chris are currently sitting on a park bench, sipping the coffee I ordered for us too.

Well, I'm sipping my coffee... Chris is chugging it.

Looking around the park I spotted a squirrel running up a tall, thick tree, it's quiet today, no one around... just me and Chris, just how I like it.

"I have to say I love his look on you." I swallow tightly as the wind blows through his hair as he licks the coffee that drips on his lips.

He raises an eyebrow, "My slob look?"

My head falls against his chest as he cuddles me close to his body, "You don't look like a slob, and second, the all black look is sexy, and your hat makes you look ten times hotter."

"So without this cap I'm ugly?"

I scoff, "No way."

Comfortable silence falls upon us before Chris breaks it with a sigh, "I love you, you know that right?"

Looking into his eyes, I give him a nod and a smile. "Of course I do, and I love you too."

"Good," he says, "I want to give you something really special to me."

He pulls away from our embrace and reaches into his pocket and takes out a thin silver chain. He slides the ring off of his finger and places it on the chain. With his head, he motions for me to turn around. Once I feel the cool metal hit my chest, I hold it against my thumb and forefinger and inspect it.

"It's beautiful. Why are you giving this to me?" I ask, turning around to face him.

"It was by dad's before he passed away from cancer. He gave it to me before he died five years ago-" I try to interrupt, but he places a finger against my mouth, stopping me from doing so. "This is the most important thing I own, I want you to have it so I can be with you always."

"I love you so much Chris, this means so much." Chris giving me his dad's ring is a silent promise.

"I love you so much, butterfly." Chris mumbles before placing his lips against my own.
