《We Weren't Acting》Chapter 3 - Matching

Charming

That's the word I describe Christian as.

He has an outgoing personality, where I don't. I'm the complete opposite. People describe me as shy and awkward. However, what people don't know is I've put up a wall higher than the non-existent wall Trump has declared he's going to build.

Putting up a wall and shutting my feelings out, helps protect my heart. Thinking back to the time were I stupidly let my wall down, and the consequences of that were me getting completely heartbroken and shattered.

My heart still feels like there's still a huge hole in it.

Like a black hole. That sucks every fibre of happiness out of my heartbroken organ.

Therefore that's why I have trust issues, I will never let my heart feel shattered again.

I blink out of my depressing thoughts as I feel a delicate tear rush down my face. I scold myself in my bathroom mirror, and strip down and step in my rommy shower.

Today Christian's coming over to my apartment to rehearse some of our lines. The two of us were demanded by Liam to practice and build up our chemistry together for the movie.

As I scrub my scalp with my flower-scented shampoo I think about how much pressure I feel playing the role of Sky. The fanbase of Endlessly is super strong, and smart. I couldn't believe the day I was scrolling through Instagram, and saw a fan page, guessing me and Christian were the two main roles. I have no idea how they guessed correctly, that information was confidential.

So I can't help but feel that I have thousands, maybe even millions of people relying on me, to bring Sky alive, perfectly.

I quickly wash the shampoo out of my hair and wash my body. I step out of the shower and put on my undergarments.

I quickly run to my room in my bra and underwear, since I forgot to grab clothes before I got in the shower.

I pulled on a pair of grey sweat pants, and a white tight crop top. I straighten my long brown hair and apply my makeup for the day.

With the last stroke of lipgloss on my lips, the doorbell rings.

With one glance in the mirror, I speed walk to the door, that's been ringing rapidly for the last minute.

I huff out in annoyance and whip the door open.

"Inpatient much?"

My response by Christian is just a grin and a shrug of his shoulders.

I finally glance at Chris's outfit and stare at him shocked.

"What are you staring at?" Christian asks as he steps around me to get into my apartment.

"Ya sure come in," I mumble to myself, While closing the door and turning around to find him already with his arse on my couch.

"Were matching," I say with a chuckle, pointing to his outfit.

Christian glances down at his outfit than at mine.

Yup, you guessed it.

Christian's wearing grey sweatpants, and a simple white tee.

Christian gives me an intense look before looking me up and down. "Well, you wear it better."

"I know I do" I smirked and flipped my hair.

Chris let out a low chuckle while running his hand through his brown waves. "Let's get to work yes?"

"That's why you're here, what scene do you want to do first?" I asked while sitting beside him and flipping through our script.

"Let's just start from the first scene we act in together." He said with a clap of his hands and turned his body on the couch to face me.

With a fake smile I turned towards him and let out a sigh, this is going to be a long day.

"I can't keep lying to my parents Oliver, it's going to end up hurting both of us," I said as I played my character Sky.

Me and Chris started practicing our lines at one o'clock and now it's four. I'm exhausted, and hungry. However, it's ridiculous because I just ate an hour ago.

Damn my stomach is needy.

Chris and I are still in my living room, he's standing and pacing the room, while I'm sitting on the edge of the couch.

Both of us are in character.

"What else are we supposed to do Sky? Your parents are control freaks!" Chris exclaimed while staking up to the couch to stand in front of me.

"You think I know what to do Oliver! This is hard for me too, there my parents for gosh sakes!" I said standing up to close the distance between us, and exclaiming Sky's lines.

"Sky I want to be with you, but at the end of the day, there going to find out." He said while running his hand through his hair while looking at me with a frustrated expression.

"I love you, you make me a better person. I can't lose you, please tell them so they won't make you leave me." He said desperately with a look of pleading.

Chris grabs my face, still playing the role of Oliver and says. "I want to have a future with you, my love." He said stroking my cheek and leaning closer to my face.

"I want a future with you too, I want my kids to have your curly brown hair and your amazing glowy skin," I said while my voice cracked, my eyes fill with tears as I gaze into Chris's brown ones.

"Then tell them."

"They'll send you away."

"Once you turn 18 well run away, I'll take you somewhere so we could love each other." He says with a determined look.

I glance my eyes away from his and look at the fire crackling away in my fireplace behind him and say, "If only it was that simple."

I pull away from him and clear my throat awkwardly. "How do you think we did?"

Chris scratches the back of his neck and glances over my head to look behind me, "We looked like we were in love. I think we're good."

"Okay, that's good," I say as I walk back to the kitchen. "I'm gonna go get some water for my dry throat, do you want some?"

"No I'm just going to go home, it's getting late," he said pointing towards the door with his thumb.

"Oh okay, when are we going into the studio to film?" I ask as I lean on the counter behind me.

"I think in two days, I'll text you when I find out." He said while unlocking the door.

"You don't have my number."

"I thought I texted you before though," Chris said with a confused look, as he let go of the door handle.

"You texted me through Instagram."

"Oh okay, here give me your phone." He said walking up to me and extending his hand for my phone.

I gave him my phone and watch as he types in his number, "I texted myself so I could have you too." He says with a cheeky smile.

I glance down at my phone with a smile and look at what he texted himself as "me".

"You're not sexy Chris!" I exclaim glancing up from my phone to find a laughing Chris exiting my front door.

I glance back down at the text after I ran and locked the door behind him.

(Chris's text)

"Hey sexy, it's Lola text me back when you can boo ;)"

I laugh and set my phone down on the table and walk towards my room to take a shower to cool down my blushing body.
