Dear Paradox,
I know your made of biker jackets and ciggerets. I know your dangerous. I know your a player and a heartbreaker. I know you never cared. I know your an expert liar. I know all these things. I do, truly. Why do I care about you so much then? I'm not sure. Maybe it's because you feel like home. You protected me. You healed my heart. You acted like you cared. You didn't lie to me as much as her. Yet, my homes in flames. My walls are all down and my hearts under attack. You didn't care and still lied and yet. And yet something draws me to you every time.
I can't stay away and yet I'm still running away. Your a paradox in my brain. Your a pain in my heart and yet somehow I understand every part of you. You couldn't hurt me.
Behind your biker jackets and cancer sticks your a lost little boy with so many walls, hurting people before they hurt you. Your older brother beats you, your mother's busy with your younger brother and your step father doesn't notice you and yet. Your hearts still bigger than mine. You still risk it all because your a paradox. We both are.
I guess that's why I understand so much.
You once told me that the prettiest girls are in the most pain, the smartist girls know what the world is like, and the stupid ones try to be both. I thought I understood at the time but I didn't. I do know. You were saying that no matter what the world's in pain. And your right.
So Mr.Cancer Sticks and Biker Jackets your a paradox and I get it now. Truly, I do.

That said, so much is altered, you’ll be hard-pressed to guess how exactly it is being used.-Despite being ‘immortal’ the MC can die. In the event he does, the story doesn’t end, simply time skips forward. Which in some cases is going to be worse than just dying.-I love plot twists, as much as I love red herrings and Chekhov guns. This story is a pathetically poor, but still a desperate attempt to reveal the depths of human emotions and what they can drive us to do. If I had to explain my book, I would say imagine Re:Zero, but the main character can actually fight people instead of just getting merked every time he meets someone with a weapon. The themes of this story are dark, so be forewarned. This is my first story so keep that in mind while reading it.

This is a story about that settlement, and some other stuff. Maybe. Disclaimer: Not sure if it qualifies enough for a gore tag. There is a description of someone's death somewhere in this, but I don't think it is descriptive enough to justify a gore tag. Disclaimer part deux: I initially started writing this as background for another story but got so into it I just ended fleshing it out a bit. Disclaimer part tres: People love reading disclaimers don't they? It's why I've included so many. They're just for you. Disclaimer part four: I know, this is getting egregious. You're starting to find it less funny. Just wait till the twentieth disclaimer, it will start being funny again. Disclaimer part five: I'm kidding, this is the last one. I don't promise I'll read every comment or message, but I certainly welcome your feedback. Disclaimer part six: I lied, it wasn't the last one. I wrote this story without breaking it down into chapters. It just goes, that means that the chapter ends when it ends, not when there is a convenient break in the story. That means that it's very annoying for you as a reader since chapters can end mid sentence. Hah! Sucker! Disclaimer part seven: Get ready for slow updates. Who knows when this will continue.
