"Cerena"

I said, tapping my sister's shoulder, She then face me.

"What is it?"

She asked, with an annoyed expression on her face.

"If you ever feel nervous just hold my hand"

I replied.

"Why would I ever feel nervous?"

She scoffed, glaring at me.

"We are about to enter the ballroom, aren't you nervous?"

I asked.

"Ugh fine, hold my hand"

She replied while handing me her hand.

"Idiot, it looks like you're the nervous one"

She said while chuckling..

"Yea I am quite nervous.."

I said, looking down at the ground trying to calm myself down..

"No need to be nervous, they won't eat you"

She replied, with a small smile.

I just smiled back at her as a reply.

Then it was our time to enter the ballroom, Everything around me started to feel like it was moving and it felt like I was suffocating..

But it all eased up when I felt a gentle pat on my head..

"Hey, Lets go"

A sweet smile appeared on my face..

I just nodded at her..

Many aristocrats talked to us, mostly my sister.

She is well known, and alot of noblemen offered her marriage proposal's but she rejected them..

"Sister, why did you reject Duke Victor? He is very wealthy and even owns 2 diamond mines.."

I said with a confused look..

"Not really interested in those kinds of men.."

She said while taking a sip of her wine..

"I have my eyes set on someone else"

She added. With a playful smirk on her face..

"Countess Tedross, it's been a long time since we've seen each other"

A very fine man then interrupted our conversation..

"Oh, Duke Boleoti. Yes indeed it's been a very long time"

Cerena said, while a smile was plastered on her face..

They continued to talk while I just stood beside my sister..

Not even muttering a single word, it seemed impossible to join in on their conversations..

"Do you want some drinks, My Lord?"

Cerena asked while a smile never left her face...

"Ofcourse"

He answered..

With that my sister then left me alone with the Duke...

Cerena then walked up to the bar with a big grin on her face..

"Hey!!"

She yelled, signing the waiter to come near her..

"Do you need anything, My Lady?"

He said...

"Give me 2 Wine's.."

She replied..

"Alright then, My Lady"

With that the waiter left and prepared the drink..

After waiting for about 5 minutes the waiter arrived with 2 Wine's on his hand..

"Ugh, finally"

She said, while rolling her eyes..

"Im sorry for the wait, My Lady"

He replied. As he place the tray on the counter he bowed down while apologizing repeatedly..

"It doesn't matter, leave now."

She said, motioning the waiter to leave her alone.

As the waiter leave, Cerena pulled out a small glass container with a liquid substance on it..

She grinned happily while pouring the liquid substance in the drink..

"My Lady, do you need help?"

With the sudden voice she quickly turned around not noticing the other half of the substance pouring on to the other drink..

"What is it, That you need?"

She said coldly.

"Do you need help, My Lady?"

The butler once again asked..

Cerena looked at the butler first and sighed.

"Ofcourse, just follow me.."

The Lady then leaded the butler to the place where her sister and the Duke sat..

"Just put it there"

She pointed, and the butler then left..

"Here you go, Duke Boleoti"

She said while a big happy smile was on her face..

"Here's yours, Y/n"

She added..

"Thank you sister"

The girl replied..

As Cerena saw the lips of the Duke get attached to the glass, a smirk appeared on her face..

It just grew bigger when she saw the Duke gulping it down his throat.

'I can't wait!'

She thought happily, But then another nobleman appears out of nowhere interrupting her fun time...

"Countess Tedross!! I need to talk to you please come!"

Not even giving the Lady a chance to disagree the nobleman already dragged her away from the table..

Reader's POV

I tried to stopped my sister from leaving but I was already too late..

Leaving me with the Duke is pretty awkward..

I tilt my head from the side avoiding the cold gaze of the duke..

It was fine until the Duke acted strange all of a sudden..

He held his head as if it was hurting..

I quickly went up to him..

"Duke Boleoti! Are you fine?"

I asked while panicking, I look around to find my sister but she was out of sight..

"M-my head it feels like its gonna burst!!"

He replied while clenching his teeth in pain..

"Lets leave the ballroom first Duke so that we can find help its too loud in here.."

I quickly then helped him up leaving the loud ballroom..

I stopped for a while infront of a room, when I felt a sharp pain go through my head..

I laid the Duke in one of the couches, and looked around to find a servant but I saw none..

The pain then again go through my head that made me fell to my knees, The pain then turned into a hot feeling..

Everything in my body felt so hot, that I just want to take all the layer's of my clothing off..

It stopped for a while but once I opened my eyes it was all blurry, I rubbed my eyes to get a clearer view and it did kinda worked..

I tried to stand up but my feet was woobly..

I turned my head to check the Duke but I only saw him standing infront of me all sweaty and he was also panting..

I tried to reached out to him to ask him if he is okay but instead he pulled me inside the room..

I was surprised by the sudden action but I couldn't even do anything since I felt too weak, I just let the Duke get his way which was a very big mistake of mine...

The next day I felt a sore between my crotch..

I rubbed my temple's and felt someone was sleeping beside me..

I look to the side only to see the Duke beside me sleeping peacefully.. I almost screamed but before I could I already put my hand on my mouth..

I slowly lifted the blanket, hand's shaking.. And then... I could see my naked body..

I gasped, and tried to remember what happened last night but I couldn't..

Before the Duke could even wake up, I hurriedly got up and change to my clothes and left the room quitely. I even manage to get him dressed without waking him up.. It's kind of my hidden talent actually.. Dressing someone without waking that person up..

As I left the room there was guards everywhere...

It seemed they were looking for someone..

Before they could see me I jumped out of an open window, without even thinking..

Luckily the window was just near the ground.. I didn't' even sprained an ankle..

I run through the gate's avoiding the guard's as I can..

When I was just near my estate I saw my Sister in the window from the office glaring at me..

If glares could kill I would be dead already.. She looks at me as if she wants to kill me right now..

I look down avoiding her stare and hurriedly went inside..

When I entered the house I already saw my sister going down the stairs..

'That was fast'

I thought..

"Where were you last night?"

She asked while walking towards me slowly..

"I-i was at uh.. I was at um in the bath-"

Before I could finish my sentence a sharp pain went to my face..

I gritted my teeth from the pain while biting my lip preventing myself from crying..

"Liar"

She said, crossing her arms while staring at me with a cruel look..

"You were with Duke Boleoti last night weren't you?!"

She asked furiously..

'how did she know that'

I thought to myself..

"No I wasn't.."

I felt a sharp pain hit my cheek again..

"Stop lying Y/n we've been living together for years now and it is obvious when you are lying!!!"

She yelled at me..

"So did you enjoy what happened last night you little wh*re?!!!"

She asked, grabbing my hair making me look at her in the eyes..

"You probably did!!! You'r such a sl*t Y/n!!! How could you take The Duke away from me!!"

She yelled again spitting insults at my face..

Tears then started to fall from my eyes..

"Didn't I tell you that I like the Duke?!!"

She asked while pulling my hair harder..

"You didn't!!"

I replied shouting at her..

"Stop talking back at me you b*tch!!!"

She yelled, pushing me to the ground then slapped me across the face again..

She grabbed my hair and made me look at her again..

"Listen here you stupid sl*t, if you ever get pregnant by the Duke... I would make your life miserable, not only your's but also that worthless child of yours"

With that my sister left, leaving me in a mess on the ground..

I look at my tummy and rubbed it..

'No I can't be pregnant, it was just one time'

I thought..

Through the whole week all my sister does is abusing me, I couldn't do anything. All that I could of think is 'This is fine, she will stop. This is totally fine, I mean I would also be mad at my sister if she would ever steal someone I like away from me...'

But is this really fine? Will she really stop?

Questions filled my head endlessly..

Out of nowhere I suddenly felt the urge to vomit.. I quickly got up from my seat and went to the bathroom as quickly as possible..

I got up and flushed the toilet and went to the sink to wash up..

But then I saw my sister in the reflection of the mirror..

She was looking at me with a glare..

"What's happening to you?"

She asked, looking at me in disgust..

"I don't know.. I suddenly felt the urge to vomit.."

I replied while looking down avoiding her cold gaze..

Without saying anything she left me all alone...

For the next days I've become more sicker than ever..

I suddenly felt dizzy so I went upstairs..

While I was relaxing my sister barge in my room with a....Doctor??!!

I quickly sat up preventing myself from fainting..

"Why are you here sister?"

I asked..

"Oh dear Doctor, please heal my beloved sister she has been feeling sick these past few days, and I can't bear to watch her suffer anymore."

She said in a high pitch voice, I cringed by the sudden change of her voice..

"Yes I will do, Countess"

The Doctor replied..

My sister then left me and the doctor in the room..

"Can you tell me what you have been feeling?"

The Doctor asked politely..

"I-i have been feeling nauseous, and I feel like I could faint at any moment by now."

I answered..

Within a second the Doctor smiled happily..

"You must be pregnant!"

I gulped down, processing the words of the Doctor..

"What?"

I muttered..

"I said you are preg-"

Before he could continue what he is saying I cut him off by putting my hand over his mouth..

"I know it already please keep your voice down!!"

I said..

"Im sorry, My Lady for my actions. We should tell the Countess now."

He said standing up from his seat..

But I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back to his chair..

"Dont tell my sister!! I will give you some money and jewels just please don't!!"

I beg in desperation..

"Okay My Lady I wont.."

He said in a sweet way..

He then called my sister in..

"So what is happening to my sister Doctor?"

She asked, while fake crying and wiping her dry eyes..

"The Lady just have a common cold. Next week she will probably be fine, so rest assured Countess.."

The Doctor said..

"Thank you so much Doctor, I will take care of my sister."

She said and then the Doctor left.. But my sister stayed..

"You're lucky you're not pregnant if you were.. I will really rip open you're stomach and feed that little sh*t for the dogs."

I looked down and grip the sheets..

Once my sister left, my tears started to flow out..

I rubbed my tummy and sobbed quitely..

"H-how could I do this?"

I asked..

All through the night I couldn't sleep..

All I was thinking of is escaping this house..

I then got up and grabbed all the things that I needed to have a home away from this place..

I opened the balcony door and look down..

It wasn't really high.. So I went to the other side of the railing and jump to the edge of the wall and slowly made my way down..

As I landed on my feet I quickly ran avoiding all guards.. while I was running it felt like this happened before.. Deja Vu? When?

I finally got outside and I was panting for oxygen..

As I look up it was very beautiful, the lights were all beautiful..

But I have no time enjoying this since im still near the Manor..

So I went farther, payed a carriage and went to a town very very very far away from that place.. I think so..

I took me a whole 2 days to go here so it is far..

As I was walking through the alleyways I notice some papers of the Duke Boleoti adopting a child..

The only thing that was mentioned is him adopting a child, I really want some more information but there was none..

I walked off and continued my way to finding a new home..

I finally found an inn and decided to spend my night in there until I could find a stable job and then buy a house..

The thought of me having a baby is truly amazing.. I couldn't even stopped thinking of the names that I want my child to have..

When I thought everything is better that was where I'm so wrong about..

I heard banging from outside of my door..

Which woke me up form my deep slumber..

I rubbed my eyes and stretch for a bit to get it but my door already fell to the ground before I could even twist it's handle and open it..

I saw guards that wear uniforms desame as our family..

And then my one and only evil sister entered the room..

"Ahh it was worth torturing that stupid Doctor..."

The Doctor.. Im really sorry I got you into this...

"You were pregnant yet you kept it away from me.. oh how cruel of you to do that sister."

She said while pouting like a child..

I just look at her with a glare..

"Aww look at you acting all tough~"

She cooed..

"Go get her."

Her face then turned into a serious one then all of the guards went to me and dragged me inside a carriage..

After a few hours the only thing that I can hear was my sister talking with someone though it was not really clear I still manage to hear some.. And it broke my heart..

"This girl is my worthless sister bearing a worthless child, I'll give you this thing for free I just want it out of my sight.."

She sighed and left..

I was threw on the ground and I felt someone carrying me somewhere...

Just why did I hope everything will be alright..

Every single day I was tortured even worse by this guy...

Even after I have given birth into a healthy baby girl..

He never did stopped..

He didn't even stopped until I couldn't even walk...

"Mama.. Are you alwight?"

D/n asked while gently patting my head with her tiny hands..

D/n is now 3 years and.. I've tried everything I could to give her the best childhood but it's Impossible..

"Mama is fine D/n.."

I replied..

"Get better, Mama"

She said while giving my forehead a peck.. She then laid beside me embracing me tightly..

"Mama you are so thin"

She said while giggling..

"I know.."

I chuckled..

The door then opened revealing the old man..

He was holding a whip on his hand..

I put D/n beside me and shielded her from the old man's attack's...

When the old man stopped I whispered something's to D/n..

For about 3 years I have known that this old man is living alone for his entire life and I know it is true..

So I planned an escape..

I made D/n the one to escape so I will hold off the old man.. Though I do not have the strength I will try..

"Go!!"

I yelled then the man stopped and tried to grab D/n but I grabbed his leg and dig my long nails in his flesh he screamed in pain..

"Gahh!!! You b*tch"

He yelled and grabbed my hair.. pulling me away from him. When I finally saw D/n leaving I felt happy but I still never stopped preventing this old man from leaving..

He tried to kick me which I lost my grip of him he almost left but I threw a spoon on his feet making him slip on it..

I quickly crawled onto him, grabbed the whip and wrap it around his neck chocking him..

He grabbed my arms and tried to removed it from his neck but he still can't..

He was now turning red and I could tell he was getting weak..

I finally pulled even harder but he pulled my broken leg and twisting it even more, making me loose my grip around his neck..

I fell to the side while he was panting for air..

I couldn't even move my leg hurts alot..

'D/n are you far away already?'

I asked myself, concerned about the safety of my child.

The old man then got up but stop while walking across me..

He stepped on my other broken feet which made me scream..

When he left I was crying afraid that he might caught my child..

As time pass by he finally arrived but D/n was not with him..

"W-what did you do to my child you monster?!!?"

I yelled..

"You really wanna know? I killed that worthless child.."

He said..

It felt like a million of pieces broke inside of me..

My child.. Is dead?

"And it was all your fault for pulling that stupid trick.."

He said, while poking my head...

"Here I gouge out her eyeballs as a souvenir"

He said while throwing me the sack..

I trembled in fear while grabbing it..

While opening it I saw 2 eyes inside, I cried and the tears never stopped..

"No.. My baby.. It's all my fault im sorry im sorry.. please forgive me.."

I said...

After a few days I haven't even eaten anything that the old mam gave me..

Even the food that he prepared was left to waste and he punished me for that..

I thought that after losing my child then I dont even have a reason to keep on living..

After a few more days I lose all the hope to live..

But then I heard fighting from outside but it doesn't matter.. I dont care anymore..

The noise finally stopped indicating that someone finally win..

Then Someone opened the door of the room where I am in..

I couldn't care less, they are probably here to kill me..

"Sir there is a lady in here!!"

Yelled the other male..

Then another one came up to me and blind folded me..

"It has been a few years since you haven't seen the sun seeing it right now may blind you so I will wrap this around your eyes."

He said in sweet tone..

I didn't respond and let him continue on what he was doing..

"You are badly injured..You should get treated right away!!"

He said then carried me out of the room..

That was all I could remember after waking up in a big room...

I looked around but it didn't even fascinated me..

A tear then fell from my eye when I remembered the memories of my daughter..

But then someone entered the room..

I look away wiping the tear from my eyes..

"Lady Y/n Tedross.."

I look at the person only to see Duke Boleoti..
