《One-Eighty || Taekook》Chapter 53

An expressionless look was visible on Taehyung's face as he listened to the officer in front of him firing questions at him. The brunette had been sitting in this small dark room for at least two hours now and all the officer in front of him had done was trying to get as much information out of him as possible.
"So Taehyung, do you recall where you were taken after you got kidnapped and pushed into the helicopter?" The female police officer spoke in a friendly tone while a fake smile was clearly visible on her face. The woman looked to be around her 50's and she wore her long black hair in a tight bun on her head. A stern look was visible underneath the woman's glasses and she looked like she knew exactly how she had to get information out of anyone. Too bad for her that Taehyung wasn't willing to give her any information.
The moment the young lawyer's parents had left yesterday the brunette had decided that he wasn't going to snitch on his friends. There was a big possibility that Taehyung would never see them again but that didn't mean that he would just give all their secret information to the cops. Jungkook and the others had trusted the brunette to join them when Taehyung was still living in the Jeon Tower and even now that they had removed themselves from his life the young lawyer wasn't willing to break their trust. You don't turn your back on people who you consider part of your family.
"I don't remember." The brunette answered, an empty look visible on his face. This whole visit here was pointless to the brunette. He wasn't going to say anything and the woman in front of him was slowly getting more and more frustrated. Annoyed the police officer pinched the bridge of her glasses before she created a fake smile on her face again and looked at Taehyung as if he was a little kid.
"What did Jeon's masked accomplices look like?" the stern looking woman asked before she put the papers in her hands on the metal table in between Taehyung and herself. The brunette briefly looked up before locking eyes with the police officer in front of him. She must be tired too. The woman had been firing questions at Taehyung non stop without even getting one answer from the boy.
Slowly Taehyung began to shake his head before a small smile made it's way onto his head. The thought of his friends faces and personality made him happy but also sad at the same time. The fact that he would never hear Jin laugh like there was no tomorrow hurt him. He would never see Jimin brush his hand through his blonde curls again. He wouldn't even feel Jungkook's touch again. It had only been a day without those boys in his life but he already missed them like crazy and he definitely would do anything to get them back.

"I don't know." The brunette lied, the clear image of his friends faces still in his mind. A soft sigh immediately left the older woman in front of him and she closed her eyes briefly before standing up form the metal chair she was sitting on. "Thank you for your time Mr. Kim. We will make sure to let you know if we need more information about this case." The woman lied while that fake smile of hers was once again present on her face.
Softly Taehyung nodded his head before he quickly headed out of the police station. Of course the woman hadn't been happy with him. He was her best chance at finding Jungkook and all Taehyung had given her was nothing, absolutely nothing. There hadn't even been one bit of information she could use to track Jungkook down because the brunette had simply answered all the questions she had asked with a 'I don't know'.
A soft sigh left Taehyung's mouth as cold fresh air hit his face the moment he stepped out of the building he had been in. Even though it was pretty cold, the sun was shining brightly and a small smile made it's way onto the brunette's face. Weather like this was always a sight to see from Jungkook's apartment and he hated how he was missing the beautiful view right now.
Slowly the young lawyer began to walk home while putting his hands in the pockets of his coat. The boy had told his parents that he would give them a call the moment he got home so that they could have dinner together because truth be told, Taehyung had missed his mom's cooking a lot. Of course he had been fed well back when he was living with Jungkook, but his mom's cooking just hit differently. It gave him flashbacks to their life at the farm in Daegu and that was probably exactly why Taehyung loved it so much.
Today Jihun, Taehyung's little brother would join them too and the young lawyer was really excited to see him again. Jihun and Taehyung had always been super close and the young lawyer couldn't wait to close him in his arms once again. Jihun meant the world to him.
After a fifteen minute walk the familiar apartment block where Taehyung had been heading to finally came into sight. The place was still so familiar yet didn't feel the same as before. His small apartment used to be so warm and now without Jungkook's presence living there felt so cold. His home was where Jungkook was and since the ravenette wasn't here he couldn't feel comfortable in his own damn apartment.
Slowly the brunette began to shake his head a bit before he began to walk up the stairs in order to reach his apartment. It was way too cold to keep lingering outside and while the warmth of the sun made it a bit more bearable the young lawyer still preferred to be inside where he knew warmth would engulf him completely.

A surprised look however became visible on Taehyung's face as his own front door came into sight and he noticed it being slightly open. The brunette blinked a few times while he raised both his eyebrows, had he forgotten to lock his front door this morning?
Quickly the young lawyer ran up the last few steps before he slowly began to open the door to his apartment a bit more and getting inside himself. Immediately upon entering the boy's heart began to stammer in his chest the moment he noticed a girl with long blond hair in his apartment. The girl was facing with her back towards him while she was holding a picture of Taehyung and Jihun in her hands. Immediately Taehyung's eyes grew big and his breath hitched in his throat. What the hell was this girl doing in his apartment? Was she a burglar or something?
Suddenly however the girl turned around and her face came into sight. Her face looked somewhat familiar to Taehyung yet the brunette couldn't remember where he had seen her before. He surely had never met her but he knew for sure that he had seen her face somewhere before.
"Finally you have returned. I've been waiting for you for ages you know." The unknown girl suddenly spoke before dropping the picture she was holding on the ground. A smirk began to form onto the girls face and she slowly began to walk towards where Taehyung was standing.
Immediately the brunette began to back away slowly, not taking his eyes off of the beautiful girl in front of him. He had still no idea who she was but he knew damn well from that look on her face that she wasn't a friend and that she certainly wasn't here to try and become friends with him either. Her presence meant bad news and Taehyung needed to get as far away from her as soon as possible. Where the fuck was Jungkook when you needed him the most.
The girl however suddenly fastened the pace in which she was walking towards Taehyung and before he knew it the girl had pressed him against a wall before grabbing his chin harshly. A sly smirk began to form on her face once again as she slowly began to push Taehyung's face in different directions, checking every inch of his face.
"So you're my replacement huh?" She softly whispered in the brunette's ear, an amused tone lacing her voice. She suddenly pressed the boy a bit harder against the wall before setting a step back and looking at her victim with a cold look on her face. "You shouldn't have given in to him Taehyung. You are a way too easy target for us." The woman spoke before suddenly the front door of Taehyung's apartment opened.
Immediately Taehyung turned his head towards the door, hoping to see someone that could rescue him form this girl. The young lawyer was scared of her and she looked like she was ready to kill him any minute. The brunette had no idea what she was talking about or who she was but she clearly knew damn well who he was. She knew his name and she had for some reason put a target on his back. That fact alone made Taehyung's heart stammer in his chest uncontrollably while his whole body filled itself with nervousness.
However much to Taehyung's dismay the man who had walked into his apartment wasn't someone he knew. However judging by the look he was giving the brunette, the raven haired man knew damn well who he was which meant that he was probably together with the scary girl who had entered his apartment. The man had a somewhat familiar face and in a way he reminded Taehyung of Jungkook. Both had the same color hair and even some slight similarities in their faces.
"Is that him Rose?" The new person in the room asked the blonde girl before walking up to her and kissing her cheek. Immediately Rose began to nod while looking Taehyung in his eyes. "Definitely." She answered the man next to her before that wicked smirk of hers returned on her face once again.
The moment the unknown man next to the girl spoke her name it all clicked for Taehyung. He remembered Rose's face from a picture he had once seen in Jungkook's office. In front of him was standing none other than Jungkook's ex-fiance and she clearly was out to get Taehyung. This girl had come here with one reason and one reason only, get Taehyung and use him against Jungkook, which would probably mean that the man next to her was Jungkook's older brother Sehun. In front of Taehyung were standing the two people who Jungkook wanted to get rid of more than anyone else and that meant the he was in trouble. Big trouble.
Before the brunette could scream for help Sehun pressed a wet cloth against his nose and mouth and before the young lawyer knew it his sight got blurry before darkness engulfed him completely. There wasn't anything Taehyung could do to save himself anymore except pray for a miracle.
