《One-Eighty || Taekook》Chapter 36

Can anybody be happy if they aren't free? That is a famous quote said by none other than Belle from beauty and the beast. The beautiful girl in her yellow ball gown had always been one of Taehyung's favorite Disney princesses due to the fact that she wasn't only pretty, she had a strong personality and was super smart too. The story about the brown haired girl who got captured by the beast is very famous nowadays even though the story itself it quite unlikely to ever happen according to Taehyung himself. He had never been able to understand how you can grow to love the one who took everything away from you. Lately he changed his thought about that very fact however.
You see, maybe Taehyung isn't belle and maybe their stories aren't completely the same but you can't deny the fact that there are similarities. Taehyung too got captured by someone who is feared by everyone. The brown haired boy also is getting held captive by that same person and even though he didn't got taken to some huge ass castle, this big skyscraper was a pretty good alternative. Sure there wasn't talking furniture around him here but he was pretty sure Jungkook's friends would pass as the crazy factor in his story as well. And of course last but not least, just like Belle had done, Taehyung too had grown to have feelings for his captor.
Some people might say that he's gotten a certain diagnosis called Stockholm Syndrome. The young lawyer himself however thought different about that fact. At first he had been scared as hell of Jungkook, he couldn't deny that. The ravenette had been a straight up monster in his eyes and there wasn't any form of humanity visible in his eyes. However as the weeks slowly passed by the mafia boss slowly began to open up more and more to the brown haired boy. Taehyung had found out about the reason for the boy's anger and he had also figured out things the boy thought were important to him. Slowly Jungkook's real personality had begun to show and Taehyung couldn't help but thought that it was beautiful. This boy wasn't a monster, most people just didn't know the real him well enough.
A few weeks had passed by since the two had had their fun movie night. Ever since then butterflies had been flying all around in Taehyung's stomach whenever he was close to the younger boy. Jungkook knew exactly what he had to do to make the young lawyer blush, feel nervous and how to make him shy. Even though the mafia boss himself probably had no idea he did all these thing to the older boy that didn't matter to Taehyung. He liked being around the ravenette a lot and he didn't want to ruin that.

Last week Taehyung had finally accepted the fact that he liked Jungkook. For a long time the boy hadn't been able to understand why the younger boy made him feel so super nervous yet so freaking happy all the time but now he finally understood. Taehyung had a massive crush on Jungkook and it was only getting bigger. There was no way for the brown haired boy to deny it anymore, he knew damn well what his feelings meant.
Of course the brown haired boy wasn't trying to sugar coat his and Jungkook's current relationship however. The brown haired boy was pretty sure that the ravenette didn't feel the same way about him at all and that he was only allowing Taehyung to live with him because he felt sorry for what he had done. There was no way someone like Jungkook could ever fall in love with someone like Taehyung. The beast might have fallen in love with Belle but that was because she was very special and beautiful. Taehyung wasn't anything like that. He was pretty ordinary and boring according to himself, something Jungkook would never grow to like. Besides this wasn't a fairytale where every story ends with a happy ending. This was his life. Ohh how he wished to become some stupid character in a book only so that the author could write him the happy ending he desperately craved for.
Currently the young lawyer was trying to read a piece about how Jeon Coorporations had violated the law by doing some illegal shit while Jungkook himself was taking a shower. Of course everything the company was being accused of was true and thus Jungkook had asked Taehyung to look into it and try to find a way in which they could proven to be innocent, even if they weren't. According to Jungkook Taehyung was an amazing lawyer while the ones who were actually hired for this case were doing a very shitty job. As the ravenette had said so himself, Taehyung would have definitely pled him free if the ravenette hadn't decided to escape himself, even though Jungkook had in fact been guilty of everything. He had done it once and he could do it again.
A small smile made it's way onto Taehyung's face as he thought about what Yoongi had said this morning. The boy had come over to Jungkook's apartment and the two of them were talking about how shitty the lawyers they had hired were until suddenly both boys had looked at Taehyung with weird looks on their faces. Jungkook had come over to him and explained to him what it was that they wanted of him and in order to encourage the brown haired boy Yoongi had literally said. "Tae use your lawyer brain, you're good at this shit." Of course the young lawyer couldn't say no after that. After all this was what he had studied to master. He was a freaking lawyer and he knew damn well how that shit worked. It was time to get back in bussiness.

Slowly the brown haired boy took a bite from his banana while carefully scanning every single letter printed on the paper in front of him. Banana's were like power food to Taehyung. The yellow fruit always helped the young lawyer to fully focuss on whatever he was doing and it didn't take long before the boy was completely caught up in the piece of paper in front of him.
Soon however suddenly small drops of water fell on his paper and the light inside the room became a lot darker. A confused look began to form onto the young lawyer's face and he slowly began to take another bite of his banana. Maybe another water pipe had sprung or something? That didn't explain the decreased lighting on his paper however. This was all very weird.
"Did you already find something?" Jungkook suddenly whispered inside Taehyung's ear and immediately a shocked feeling began to form into his chest. Immediately the boy began to cough loudly while quickly taking the banana out of his mouth again. immediately a red blush began to form onto the young lawyer's face and his eyes grew big. He did not just choke on a freaking banana in front of his crush....that looked so damn wrong.
A soft laugh left Jungkook's mouth as he watched the scene in front of him and he shook his head. "I guess you're not that experienced then." The ravenette teased the older boy who became even redder than before. "Shut up, I didn't see you come in." The older boy defended himself before turning around to look at the ravenette.
Immediately upon turning around the brown haired boy's eyes grew big and his mouth fell open. The ravenette was standing in front of him with nothing more but a white towel hanging loosely around his hips. Small droplets of water were decorating the boy's chest and his raven hair was a hot mess. There was no way Jungkook wasn't teasing him on purpose.
"G-go and get dressed." Taehyung quickly spoke before turning around again while his face began to heat up even more. The brown haired boy felt his heart rate increase and his breathing became a bit irregular. The ravenette was driving him crazy with his teasing and it wouldn't take long before the young lawyer couldn't handle it anymore. This boy was surely becoming Taehyung's death.
"Why? Am I making you nervous?" Jungkook suddenly softly spoke inside Taehyung's ear again, a husky tone lacing his voice. Immediately the brown haired boy's breath hitched in his throat and his eyes grew even bigger. What the fuck had gotten into Jungkook?
However a soft laugh soon left the mafia boss mouth again and he softly squeezed the brown haired boy's shoulder. "I like teasing you so much." Jungkook admitted before turning around and walking towards his bedroom. "I'll put some clothes on." The boy said while winking at Taehyung.
Once the ex-prisoner had left the livingroom Taehyung raised both his hands and put them on his cheeks. The boy's whole face was burning up and a shocked yet excited feeling was still present in his chest.

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y
