《One-Eighty || Taekook》Chapter 30

Carefully Taehyung opened the door of Jungkook's expensive car before getting out of it. After their little shopping session the two of them had decided to go back to the Jeon tower in order to get rid of all the bags and just spend the evening there.
"Get those bags to Taehyung's room." The ravenette ordered as soon as he got out of the car. A few of the mafia boss' bodyguards immediately walked over towards the young criminal's car before getting the multiple bags out of the trunk. Taehyung looked at the men with big eyes. These men had just been ordered to do something for him and the young lawyer wasn't used to that at all. All his life the boy had done everything himself.
"Come on Tae, let's go to my apartment." Jungkook suddenly spoke softly before loosely wrapping an arm around the boy's back. The ravenette smiled warmly at the young lawyer and a genuine look was visible on his face. "We can drink something there." The younger boy continued before softly guiding the brown haired boy towards the elevator.
Immediately a bright smile became visible on the brown haired boy's face and he nodded. Today he had stepped out of his comfortzone by shopping in a Gucci store and even though the young lawyer would have never done it by himself he had enjoyed his day. Finally not a day filled with cleaning and hating his life.
Soon both boys reached the elevator and Jungkook quickly pressed the button for going up. "I hope you had a fun day." The ravenette spoke in a friendly tone while smiling at Taehyung. The brown haired boy nodded and smiled back at the mafia boss. "I had a lot of fun, thank you for taking me to the mall." The brown haired boy replied, a genuine tone lacing his voice. The fact that he had finally spend some time outside the Jeon Tower agains was so precious to the young lawyer. Ever since he had been kidnapped he had only left the big skyscraper once so he honestly loved every minute he got to spend outside of it.
"Don't thank me Tae, It's the least I could do." The mafia boss then replied while looking down. The boy's whole demeanor changed and he looked somewhat sad, as if he regretted something. A questioning look became visible on the young lawyer's face and he began to feel compassion for the younger boy. He didn't like seeing people sad.

Soon the big doors of the elevator opened and both boys got inside. Jungkook quickly pressed the button for his floor and before Taehyung knew it the doors of the elvator closed again before he started to feel it move. An awkward silence was filling the room and slowly Taehyung started to feel nervous. The boy felt the need to say something but somehow he had no idea what say to the younger boy.
"Soooooo, nice weather hmm?" Taehyung decided to say before immediately mentally facepalming himself. Was he seriously going to try and talk about the weather with Korea's most wanted criminal? In an elevator with no windows where you couldn't even see or feel the weather? A feeling of embarrasement began to form in the brown haired boy's chest and his cheeks turned a soft red color. Nice one Tae, you've said some weird shit again. Now Jungkook is definitely gonna think you're weird.
However to Taehyung's surprise the younger boy started to softly laugh before looking at the older boy with amusement in his eyes. "You're seriously asking me about the weather Tae?" The mafia boss said before chuckeling again. Softly the ravenette began to shake his head while a big smile was visible on his face. "God you're so damn cute."
Upon hearing that statement the older boy became even redder and quickly looked down in order to avoid eye contact. However Jungkook was having none of it and took a few steps closer to the young lawyer before using two fingers to lift up the boy's chin again. "Don't look down baby, I just gave you a compliment." The mafiaboss softly spoke before sending a wink Taehyung's way.
Immediately the brown haired boy's eyes grew big and he looked at the ravenette as if the boy was a ghost. Had Jungkook seriously just called him cute? A weird tingeling feeling slowly started to form into Taehyung's stomach and he held his breath. What was happening right now?
However their moment quickly got interrupted by the familiar ding of the elevator reaching it's destiny sounding through the room. Softly the ravenette removed his fingers from the other boy's chin before smiling at him. "Come on, let's go inside." The younger boy gestured towards his apartment before exiting the elevator and walking towards his livingroom.
Taehyung quickly followed the younger boy and the both of them took a seat at the big sofa in the middle of the ravenette's livingroom."What would you like to drink?" The mafia boss asked, a friendly tone lacing his voice. Taehyung smiled a bit before answering the question he was asked. "Just water please." The older boy answered and immediately the ravenette got up again to get the both of them a glass of water.

As soon as Jungkook had left the room a small smile began to form onto Taehyung's face. He had had so much fun today even though it was completely out of his comfortzone. Jungkook had been super nice lately and he liked this side of the younger boy a lot. It was like his whole personality had done a one-eighty. From scary and angry the boy had turned into friendly and sweet. Well at least towards Taehyung.
Sure the brown haired boy had heard all about how the ravenette hadn't changed even a bit to the rest of his staff. Jisoo and the other cleaners were still scared as shit of the mafia boss and if they did something wrong they were sure to get a shouting from him, or worse. Jungkook kept being the powerfull and rutheless mafia boss he had always been towards everyone excepts his closest friends and Taehyung and somehow that fact made the young lawyer feel very special.
It didn't take long before the ravenette returned with two glasses of water in his hands. As soon as the younger boy reached the coffee table he softly put both glasses down before sitting down right next to Taehyung. Both boys were staring outside the big windows which were covering the complete outside wall of the building.
"Aren't you ever scared the police will find out about your hiding spot." Taehyung suddenly asked, a curious tone lacing his voice. It was something the brown haired boy was genuinly curious about. The Jeon tower was situated in the middle of Seoul and once one of his men would start talking the building would be surrounded in no time. Jungkook would be trapped like a mouse in a cage. However somehow the ravenette didn't seem scared of that fact at all.
Softly Jungkook began to laugh before shaking his head. "Not really." He spoke clearly, amusement lacing his voice. "Anyone who dares to give me away to the police will face my wrath." He then continued while slowly turning his head towards where the older boy was sitting. "Besides, even though we can see eveything that's happening outside, no one can see what's happening inside of this building." Jungkook the spoke before looking outside again while a small smile was visible on his face. "These reflecting windows are a big part of why I like this building so much. They hide so much secrets from the outside world, yet all you will be confronted with when you look at them from the outside is your own reflection."
Softly Taehyung nodded. Ofcourse he knew what the outside of this building looked like. He had visited this place before back when he was still Jungkook's lawyer. This building had amazed the brown haired boy back then and it still did.
Suddenly a bleeping tone sounded through the room and a confused look became visible on Taehyung's face. What the hell was making such a sound? However it quickly became clear to the young lawyer that it had been Jungkook's phone when the younger boy began to take the device out of his pocket.
Quickly the ravenette began to unlock the device only for a very confused look to form onto the boy's face. "What the fuck." Jungkook softly said before he began to type back a reply to whoever had send him a text. Another loud bleep sounded through the room and the mafia boss raised both his eyebrows before looking up again.
"It's Jin, he texted me to tell me that a water pipe on the cleaner's floor has bursted and now the whole floor is under maintance meaning you can't go to your own room tonight." The ravenette told the older boy while confusion was lacing his voice. Immediately Taehyung's eyes grew big and a panicked look became visible on his face. He had no sleeping place for tonight and he definitely didn't want to share a bed with some unfamiliar guard. He was fucked if he couldn't go to his own room.
Jungkook however was quick to notice the panicked look on Taehyung's face and he softly put on of his hands on the boy's shoulder. The ravenette opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it again. An uncertain look became visible on the mafia boss' face he looked like he was rethinking all his life decision.
However soon a big sigh left his mouth and he locked eyes with Taehyung. A serious yet friendly look was visible on his face and by the boy's whole demeanor Taehyung could tell that the ravenette was nervous. However it didn't take long for the boy to finally say what he had wanted to say.

In a stroke of rare luck, Rune is admitted into the program and happily submits himself to the surgery and digitization process. Unfortunately for him, he wakes up several hundred years later than he expected... or does he? **Author's Note** This isn't a type of story typical to RRL. You may have noticed LitRPG in the tags, but it's a relatively minor element in the story until later. You may also notice Slice of Life is in the tags. This story is going to be slow and there won't be any power tripping until way later if at all. The focus will be on character development. That doesn't mean I won't still have action/excitement, however. I encourage you to give the story a try. Maybe it will be your thing, maybe it won't. Thanks for even taking the time to read this, and if you do give my fiction a try, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, well, I hope you find something that you do enjoy. Happy reading!
