《The Fading Sunshine》Chapter 9

**still Kageyama's POV
When we made it to Tokyo I nudged Hinata slightly to wake him up. His eyes fluttered open and He looked at me with wide eyes.
"I-i'm sorry, I didn't mean to lay on you. You could've moved me..." He said looking down at the floor.
"I don't mind." I said with a slight smile on my face.
He looked up at me with his copper eyes and smiled.
He looked out the window and waved at Kenma. He always waited for us by the bus stop when we came to these training camps.
"KENMAAAA!" Hinata yelled as he ran off the bus and tackled Kenma with a bear hug. My face reddened with jealously. "Well why doesn't he greet me like that." I muttered to myself.
I stepped off the bus and walked over to Hinata, Kenma and Kuroo. Kuroo always seemed to be where ever Kenma was, so it was no shock that we would be greeted by the two of them.
Kuroo waved at me as I made my way over. "Karasuno, late as always I see." Kuroo said with a smile.
"I think the rest of you just get here way too early." Daichi said with laugh.
"Well why don't we go ahead and show you to your team room." Kuroo said as he gestured for us to follow him. We followed Kuroo and Kenma to the team rooms. We stopped in front of one and Kuroo said "Here's where y'all will be staying... I hope you don't mind that we put Aoba Johsai across from you..." Kuroo out his hand on the back of his neck and laughed.
I sighed. Now we'll have to see Oikawa and his band of idiots every morning.
"Is Tooru in there right now?" Hinata said hopefully.
Since when did he get so excited about seeing Shittykawa.
"Not right now, Seijoh is playing a match against Fukurodani right now." Kenma said looking up from his phone.

"Oh... okay..." Hinata said looking disappointed.
We then parted ways with the Nekoma players and went into our room to get settled in.
**Third person POV
Each Karasuno player laid their bags on the futons that were set up for them to sleep on. They changed into they're jerseys and headed down to the gym to get warmed up for their match against Nekoma.
The Seijoh vs Fukurodani game finished up with Fukurodani taking the win 25-22. As Seijoh completed their flying lap Bokuto and Akaashi came over to greet their favorite first years, Tsuki and Hinata.
"WELL IF IT ISNT SHRIMPY AND DINO!! WHOS ASSES ARE YOU GONNA BEAT TODAY!!" Yelled Bokuto.
"Hopefully Nekoma, but they're pretty good so it might be close." Said Hinata.
"Ahhh I see, well if anyone can beat them it's the power duo and the crazy quick attack." Bokuto said as he beamed at the first year duo.
Both Hinata and Kageyama looked at each other and grinned.
After they finished talking to the two Fukuordani players, Karasuno walked to the court to warm up.
**Hinata's POV
As we began to warm up, I started to get really hot. I hadn't taken the sweatshirt off yet and it hadn't even crossed my mind that I would have to take it off when the match started for real.
We got done warming up and we all sat together in the bench and we waited for Fukorudani to finish their warm ups. I sat in silence trying to come up with a way to sit this game. I could try to ask coach if I could wear the sweat shirt during the game but I doubt he'll say yes.
"Hey Coach, I'm feeling kinda cold. Would it be okay if I kept my sweatshirt on." I asked nervously.
"Hinata, you know you can't. Besides, I'm sure once you start playing you'll warm up. You'll be okay."

"Okay, I guess you're right..." I said. As coach and I finished talking the refs blew the whistle signaling for both teams to line up on the end line. I pulled off the sweatshirt and my chest tightened. I felt so vulnerable and exposed.
I ran to the end line next to Kageyama and he glanced at me then did a double take. I saw him out of the corner of my eye. He stared at my neck, but I expected this. I just closed my eyes and tried to focus on breathing.
"Thank you for the game!" Everyone yells simultaneously.
"Hinata..." I hear Kageyama say but I just walk away. I don't feel like explaining or coming up with a lie right now.
We had first serve so Kageyama goes back to serve. He gets an ace on the first serve and he goes back for a second. He serves it but Nekoma's libero, Yaku, receives it to Kenma, who of course sends it to Kuroo. I tried to block him but I was a split second too late. Kuroo swung at the ball and got a kill.
The match went on and the score was 10-12 with Nekoma in the lead. I realized a couple points ago that I was feeling unusually weak and sore. My back and arms were killing me from my bruises and slightly swollen wounds.
But I tried my best to finish the match and ignore it.
Inuoka was up to serve. He served but Noya easily received it to Kageyama. I yelled for a broad quick attack. I jumped and Kageyama sent me the ball. I hit it as hard as I could but got blocked by Kuroo. I walked back to my spot at middle and tried to catch my breath.
"Sorry, that last set was a little low." Kageyama said and patted my shoulder.
"No, your set was perfect as usual. I just can't seem to ever get good enough to get past some of Kuroo's blocks. He's figured out my timing and how I hit the ball. I can't get past him." I said quietly to Kageyama.
"Hinata, you're doing fine. We can't expect to do the same thing without someone figuring out how to stop it. We'll just have to find a way around it." Kageyama said back.
I looked up at Kageyama and smiled slightly. "Okay, let's do it then." As I spoke felt a little dizzy and stumbled into Kageyama.
"Hey... Are you okay?" Kageyama asked.
"Yeah, just lost my balance. You know how clumsy I am, i'm fine." I said with a big smile plastered on my face. It was a fake smile, but if it kept Kageyama from worrying about me then I will fake it as long as needed.
"Alright, but if you're feeling unwell then you should tell coach. I'm sure he would let you sit and rest." Kageyama said with a look of worry in his eyes.
Since when does he care. He's usually so emotionless.
We finished the game 21-25, Nekoma taking the win. We completed our flying lap and headed to the cafeteria to eat since none of us had eaten this morning.
We walked together to the cafeteria when I heard some one call my name.
"Hinata!"
I looked back to see who the voice belonged to.
I saw a man that looked very familiar running towards me. I stopped and waited on the man to catch up. He got closer and stepped towards me.
"Hey Hinata, I didn't know if you would recognize me. I'm your dads friend Koki, we met the other night!"

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

During the five nights he stays inside the pizzeria, he befriends animatronics, discovers information about not only the recent disappearances, but also the dark history of Fazbear Entertainment, all while he has to avoid being killed by rabid animatronics and whomever this mysterious "Vanny" is.
