He closed the door right in my face.
He must've been playing a joke on me, right? There was nothing to be mad about. If anything, I should be mad at him.
I tried to laugh it off, and patiently waited for the door to open up again. After about a minute of waiting, I heard him walk back up the stairs.
I knocked a few more times, hoping for a response, but I didn't get any. I felt so stressed. What could I have done? Why was he so mad at me all of a sudden? He's never acted this way. Never towards me.
I buried my face in my hands, trying to think of reasons as to why he was like this. I came up with absolutely zero ideas. I ended up sitting down at the little staircase next to his doormat.
I really wanted to believe that he was playing a big joke on me, but why was the joke going on for so long? I couldn't even hear a single step in that house.
A sound coming from my phone caught my attention.
I unlocked it, and;

Oh my god. I smiled at my phone as I felt my heart fluttering like crazy. He replied.
I held onto my phone like it was a piece of gold. I noticed he had given me a nickname as well. It was 'Lix' with the same heart I used. I had to respond with something.. unless he said something first. -but it'd only make sense if I sent him a message now right?
Whatever, I'll just reply.

Well, I wasn't doing very good. I guess that was a lie. I was in fact sitting outside the door of my best friend house right after he rejected me, and didn't give me any reasons as to why.

I had to call Jisung. I needed to get his attention somehow?
I disled his number, and gave him a call. I decided to put it on speaker. Felt more comfortable that way.
After about five beeps of him not answering, it finally connected. He picked up, but didn't say anything until I started talking.
"Hey" I said
"Hello?" He responded, in a passive aggressive tone.
"What was that about?" I asked
I heard him sigh over the phone.
"Don't act dumb" he replied
I wasn't acting dumb. Not at all. I really had no idea why he was mad, or what I had done. He was confusing me.
"Please open the door" I begged
Once again, he sighed, before hanging up. I heard him come down the stairs. It wasn't the typical jump-walk. More of a normal walk, which wasn't much like him.
I stood up and patiently waited for him to open the door. I wasn't even sure what to say to him.
"Jisung" I said as he opened it.
"What?" he snapped
"Please tell me what I've done" I begged
He looked disappointed. I felt humiliated by him. I hadn't done shit. Why was he like this?
He took one step closer to me out the doorstep. I almost backed up, but held back.
"I thought we were friends" he said, with a subtle crack in his voice. -"like, best friends."
"What do you mean? Aren't we?" I asked
He stared me deadly in the eyes. He was tearing up. It was obvious.
"Fuck you man" he belted, before tears fell and he turned away from me.
This wasn't just a huge joke
I placed my hand on his shoulder, and tried to get a better look at his face.
"Im being completely honest with you Jisung. I have no idea what you're talking about" I explained

My heart was starting to hurt. I was scared to lose him.
He pulled his phone out his pocket, and started looking at it. I was confused at first. Was he trying to ignore me or something?
I tried looking over his shoulder to see what he was doing. He opened a random numbers message history, and scrolled up the chat. I didn't get the chance to read any messages myself before he turned around, and showed me.
His nose was red, and multiple tears left his eyes. I hadn't seen him like this in a long time.
I looked at the text-messages, and read over them as he was scrolling down.
At first, I didn't get why he was showing me these random messages from a random number. -But after reading the first three or four chats, it all went up for me.
He's been texting with Jeongin.
It never occurred to Jisung that it wasn't me who replied.
He thought I was on the other side of the screen, telling him I found better people, and didn't want to see him anymore. He thought I was the person telling him to go fuck himself, and find something better to do. He thought I was the one telling him i hated him, and didn't want to be friends anymore.
He thought it was me.
The messages just got worse and worse. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The replies Jisung had sent hurt me even more.
Fuck Jeongin
