A beautiful woman stood in front of Taehyung yet he instinctively knew who it was. His long lost mother. The moon goddess Luna.
Namjoon opened his mouth to protest but their mother, the moon goddess interrupted him, smiling lovingly at her taken child that was so brutally taken from her. "My dear child, my youngest, my Taehyungie" she cooed, opening her arms and in an instant, Taehyung forgot the previous fight with his brother and ran over to her.
He crashed into her taller form and she engulfed him with her arms. "I finally have you back", she breathed out lovingly and Taehyung felt Silver, his wolf, howl in happiness. They were reunited with the family. Luna was Taehyung's mother. She has disappeared from the world to grief over his loss, Taehyung realized that now. She turned into the moon because she lost her child.
Namjoon interrupted their bonding moment. He didn't dislike the twins but he deemed them unfitting to be the Mates of his brother. Taehyung was gone for so many years and Namjoon still saw him as his small, defenseless little brother who needed his supervision. After all this time of searching for Taehyung, he wasn't going to let him go.
It was selfish, yes but Namjoon was his older brother. He knew what's best. He had to tell Taehyung the truth.
"It's your Mate bond. You only think you love them. Our mother created your Mates because she wanted you to have the ultimate protectors, they were created based on my powers. She planned to introduce you to them on your first birthday but then you were stolen. In her sorrow, Mum did something bad to them, I admit. That's why you can't be together", Namjoon said and Taehyung pulled away from Luna who shot her son a warning glare.

"What is it? What did she do to them?!", Taehyung demanded to know, sick and tired of finding out more and more things about his life and so called family. His previous happiness to be reunited with them turned into bitter anger.
"You were gone and their wolves turned insane. To prevent them from burning the world down to find you, which they would, she forced them to forget about you. Their mother helped our mother, as they were friends. On the day you were kidnapped, she caused the forgetting. Their powers are bounded to you, it was only a matter of time until they would find you, which was why I stayed close as I could not find you anywhere on the world. But they are not good wolves. The strongest next to me, yes, but not meant to be loved. They should only protect you, it was never meant for you to fall in love with them", Namjoon revealed and Luna released a sad little noise when Taehyung spun around to her.
"Is that true?", he asked her, his voice low and filled with his betrayal. Luna looked sadly at her son, her youngest. He was the first Omega, the original and the eternal wolf. Of course she had to create some sort of protection because she couldn't always be there for him.
"Yes, my son, it is true. They are protectors. The mate bond is meant to be solely as protection. But you fell in love with them and I saw how beautiful that bond was. My children should have the same happiness. But you were kidnapped and they turned insane. I regretted my every decision", Luna explained regretfully but Taehyung was not to be calmed.
"You cursed them! I don't even remember them and they got punished for a mistake that wasn't their fault!", he accused her. Luna shook her head, her silver eyes hard and unforgiving. "They failed to protect my son, they had to be punished", she said.

"YOU HAD NO RIGHT!", Taehyung yelled at her before going to his knees, sobbing loudly. "You both had no right. I love them, I want to be with them, why do my feelings not matter to you?", he sobbed heartbroken. Luna knelt down in front of him. "I apologize for your hurt, my dear son but I will not apologize for my actions as a mother who lost her child", she said gently.
Taehyung fought against her hug but gave in after a while, only sobbing softly in her embrace. Luna, the moon goddess then revealed how Kim Seokjin, her former lover, came to know about Taehyung and his magical powers. The ancient vampire was turned by her because she loved him but he got greedy and wanted more power.
And he didn't even stop in torturing innocents to get what he wanted.
"You are my child, Taehyung. Their power matches yours. Seokjin knew how to cover your origin. On the day of your birth, the twentieth reached winter of your mortal life, he gave you his blood to cover that you've already turned immortal. All these lies, to bound your powers to him, so he could have your magic. The wizard who took you used you and Seokjin got to know that you aren't with me in the moon forest anymore", Luna explained silently and Taehyung looked up with teary eyes.
Luna has seen it all but as she was the moon, unable to transform until she was reunited with her child, she had to watch everything. It was a curse she did to herself, know everything but be unable to interfere or help.
The twins mother, a dear friend of Luna knew of the wizard hide out as she has been in close contact with the wizard who only wanted a child. The wizard, the traitor who caused the enslavement to the codex of his kind, was her brother, she herself inherited some magical powers which was why her sons grew so powerful. And why Luna then chose to make the twins Taehyung's mates.
Seokjin kidnapped and tortured her and she only revealed her brothers hideout when he threatened her with her children, the twins. Once he got the info, he has returned her back since she was useless to him.
Seokjin then took Taehyung, who was sixteen at the time. He's older than the twins who were five at the time, but thanks to the poison, and his normal immortality thanks to being a goddess son, Tae was still 20 while the twins were 25. They grew up as children until Taehyung was kidnapped. Their mothers decided it was best for the twins to forget him so they wouldn't turn insane. Unknown to them, Taehyung was also forced to forget his every memory.
And they wouldn't come back, as the only one who could return them was dead.
~
A chapter of reveals! The twins weren't meant to fall in love with Tae as they are only his protectors... so is their love real or just imagination?

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
