Jimin ran after a distressed Jeongguk one more time, searching for the Alpha and finding him in the back of the castle, near the stalls. Whenever the Trueblood was upset, he was usually at the stalls, petting the horses and trying to calm Midnight down. This time it was different, the Alpha was raging.
He was pacing back and forth behind the stalls, fangs and claws extended and his eyes were blood red, close to transform into his wolf. Rain clouds formed over their heads and the threatening sound of thunder sounded through the sudden cold air. Jimin immediately panicked.
"Gguk! Stop! Think of Taehyung!", Jimin yelled, afraid that Jeongguk was causing a storm in his distress. The young Trueblood was not to be messed with, he was a rarity, blessed with the ability to conjure storms. Jeongguk bared his fangs at Jimin when he whipped around but the mention of his precious Mate, his pup, caused him to control himself, making the clouds disappear.
"He hurt him... out of all assholes in the world, it had to be him to harm our Mate!", Jeongguk said when Jimin inched slightly closer, a concerned, worried look on his face. He hated seeing his best friends upset like this, the mere mentioning of Kim Seokjin's name did enough.
"I know Gguk...", their Beta spoke up gently, releasing calming pheromones but Jeongguk huffed, glaring up into the sky, fists clenched to his sides.
"No you don't! He took my mother! Our mother, Jimin!", Jeongguk yelled and Jimin flinched back by his booming voice, understanding the Alpha's misery. The tragedy of the former Luna, Queen Jeon, was a horrible tale that every wolf of the pack knew but no one spoke about.
"He seduced her and ripped her away from our father and thanks to him, Dad went bunkers on us! He went crazy after he took her and we never saw her again", Jeongguk seethed. The twins hated talking about it, hated the entire vampire race and therefore only slowly adjusted to Yoongi, who was half vampire. They have made the promise to themselves to bring this fucking filth of a vampire down.

Jeongguk's memories of his mother were faint but he remembered her to be the most beautiful woman ever, with the gentlest smile and purest soul. She has been a strong Alpha, always shooting back at her father and he also remembered how much their father adored her. She was the love of his life and his Mate after all, their first years filled with happiness.
Then, when their mother has gone for a run, nothing to be scared of since she was an Alpha, they received the horrible message that she has been attacked by a group of vampires. Kidnapped. Te vampire revealed himself when the old King threatened the vampires with war. Kim Seokjin was a royal vampire, as ancient as time, and the vampire king too was afraid of him and his power. Fearing for his own status, he didn't do anything, until King Jeon searched for his Mate himself, a killing spree left behind.
The search changed him and when there was no sight of her since three years, he lost all hope.
"We were five, Jimin. He broke our minds and filled it with pain and violence. Because of him, Kook can't control his wolf and gives in to the aggression. Because of him, I had night terrors and screamed until my ears bled!", King Jeon's pain was looking back at him in the form of his sons' doe eyes, resembling their mother so much. He could not bear looking at them anymore.
He didn't want to see the gentle love with which she used to look at him. So he gave them to his Beta, drilled them until they were sobbing on the floor, until they've become monsters. Until mercy didn't exist for them anymore. He took his own sons and turned them into killing machines, until nothing reminded him of their mother. Still, their mere existence showed him what he had, reminded him of the love he had.

He died of grief.
"And the only request she had when he returned her to us, bloody and dying, was to hold us, their sons. Father hated us for that and he has never forgiven us either", Jeongguk said bitterly, recalling their mother's last moments.
She has been left on the castle door, bloodied, drenched in sweat and tears, bite marks, the same adoring Taehyung's beautiful honey skin, all over her body. She was blind by now, only whimpering for her Babies and the doctors couldn't do anything to help her. The powerful Alpha Queen, broken apart, nothing remaining of the woman she once was. Her legs were disabled, seeming to be broken multiple times until she couldn't move, until she couldn't run away.
The twins still wondered to this day what made the vampire return her to them.
When Jungkook and Jeongguk, five innocent years, stumbled into the room, holding hands and cuddled up in each other, they have cried for their mommy who was finally back, but now only moments of slipping away forever. They hugged her, cried against her chest and watched the life draining out of her. Her last words, spoken into the coldness of the room, were an expression of her love for them.
The old Jeon arrived to the cold corpse of his returned wife, his children crying over her form. A bloodied signature engraved on her.
A name engraved in the softness of her chest. A name revealing the one behind her misery and also the one responsible for Taehyung's suffering.
Jeongguk's eyes darkened and Midnight howled inside of him. They wanted to make Seokjin pay for what he did. Because he not only dared to take their precious mother and destroy their family, no, he also had to go after their Mate, a pure innocent soul who did not deserve any of this.
"I want to make Kim Seokjin suffer and engrave my name on his body like he did with her", he said, thunder crashing over their heads and sealing the promise. Jeongguk was going to bring him down. For hurting his mother, and his pup. This vampire will not see another sunset.
"Gguk... we will bring him down, I promise", Jimin said, deeply moved by Jeongguk's words since the twins never spoke of what happened. It made Jimin's admiration for his Alphas grow even more and he was determined to help them, whatever it would take.
"You don't have to promise. Because I will bring him down. He will not make another soul suffer, I will get our revenge. For our mother and our Taehyung."

Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
