Sunlight warmed Taehyung's face once he regained back his consciousness and the warmth made the petit Omega shoot up in his spot, because sunlight always meant that something was heavily wrong. He was not allowed out of the tent, especially not in the middle of the day, usually tied to a post in the leader's tent and waiting to serve.
The silver-haired man therefore shot up with harshly beating heart, panicking when he felt soft sheets on his body, unusual feeling since he was normally sleeping on the floor, he was only on rare nights allowed to sleep in the bed with the leader.
"N-no", Taehyung whimpered, not remembering where he was, he didn't recognize his surroundings and panic invaded his mind. He felt scared, tumbling out of the large bed which looked so luxurious, something the leader wouldn't use in their camp. Taehyung felt like the bite marks littering his skin were burning by now, acid rushing through his veins instead of blood and he helplessly clawed at his skin.
He cowered on the ground, pressing his head into the soft carpet and sobbing silently to himself until the panic attack was over and he could see more clearly again. Taehyung's lashes were coated with both, dried and fresh tears and his lips escaped a shuddering breath. There was a cup of clean water sitting on the table next to the bed and Taehyung greedily took it, gulping down the liquid.
It didn't matter to him whether it was poisoned or not. He would hope it was poison to finally get out of the vampires' grasp.
A knock on the door made the Omega shoot up, panicked and he quickly put the glass back onto the table, regretting to have soothed his burning throat. Another knock followed once more and Taehyung scrambled to his feet, looking around panicked and searching for an object to defend himself with. Taehyung was so deep in his panic that he forgot about the two males who claimed to be his Mates.

It didn't cross his mind that he was with them now, his survival instinct telling him to run, to get the hell out of this unknown place and Taehyung has been running for so long on survival instinct that he didn't think twice.
When the door opened, revealing a surprisingly friendly looking man, he attacked him, brought him down to the ground and ran out of the door before the other could even react. Taehyung heard a voice screaming after him but his feet carried him away, sapphire eyes hectically looking around for an exit.
He found one, in the form of a window and without a second thought Taehyung jumped on the window sill, breaking the glass and taking a look down. He thankfully wasn't on a high floor, only the second he assumed which was a height a werewolf, even an Omega, could easily survive and Taehyung pushed his legs out of the window.
Looking backwards when rumors grew louder behind him, Taehyung saw guards running around the corner, spotting him and screaming his name worried. Because he didn't know them, his Omega screamed for him to get the hell away, run into the nearby forest he has spotted and hide until he could find out what happened.
Taehyung obeyed.
He let got of the window sill, allowing his body to fall out of the window. For a sickening moment, he was in free fall before he tumbled to the ground, quickly protecting his head with his arms and not caring for the aching in his legs that appeared again. As long as Taehyung remembered, since the stay with the vampires to be exact, his legs have been weakened to make an escape impossible.
There was no memory left from before his stay with the vampires. Maybe it was because of their poison that clouded his mind and allowed them to control him, make him obedient like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, but Taehyung wouldn't know.

All he knew was that he had to run.
"Taehyung! Stop! We don't want to hurt you!", he heard someone shouting after him and Taehyung got up on his feet, jumping forward. Four white paws hit the ground and Taehyung started to run in his wolf form since he was much more faster in this form. Since he was so tiny, he hoped that his persecutors wouldn't be able to catch him.
The little Omega was sadly wrong. Because he tumbled over his own feet clumsily, whining lowly when he rolled over the ground, feeling dirt poking his soft fur. Weakened, Taehyung didn't have much control over his own strength and he couldn't get up on the first try.
There was a growl coming from the side and Taehyung's head shot up, barking scared at the closer coming black creature. It was a tall wolf, tilting its head into the direction of the sound and Taehyung regretted opening his snot, because now, the wolf spotted him and started to approach him. Taehyung scrambled on his feet.
Four more wolves ran around the corner and Taehyung yipped fearfully once they all aimed for him. He took steps and more steps backwards until his bum was up against the castle walls, the tall building sitting threateningly behind him. Large sapphire eyes stared scared at the persecutors and he yipped again, trying to sound scary.
One of the wolves growled at the little Omega and Taehyung immediately crouched down, pressing himself to the ground to not be seen as a threat to the other wolves. A tall wolf with beautiful brown fur stepped out of the wolves, tilting his head to the side before barking at Taehyung. The Omega replied with a scared little bark.
Taehyung glanced to the side, hoping to spot a way out but multiple growls caused him to press himself more into the wall, trying to disappear. 'Queen Taehyung, we don't want to hurt you. Please, let us allow us to escort you back into the castle, Their Majesties are on Their way here', the brown wolf linked Taehyung who stopped whining scared.
He lifted his head, ears tilted forward in confusion. 'Q-Queen?', a small scared voice asked inside the heads of the guards. The brown wolf nodded. He wanted to link more to Taehyung, assure him that he was safe, that there was no danger for him but he also understood why the scared little Omega was behaving this way.
His mind must be clouded by vampire poison, making him disoriented and scared. He was ordered to protect the Queen with his life, which also meant that he needed to make sure Taehyung wasn't going to hurt himself.
Footsteps grew loud on the gravel before a tall figure came running towards them. Taehyung whined but soon relaxed a bit when he caught a calming presence. His nostrils trembled, trying to grasp a smell. There was nothing.
But the figure was familiar to Taehyung and he gasped when he realized who it was.
It was one of the men who claimed to be his Mates.

Vemödalen: From The Other Side

They know their path to be the righteous one. One to roam the land, hunting for all apparitions, and be scorned by man and beast alike. They know their path to be an arduous one. One to wander the realm in search of power, to protect themselves and what they believe in. They know their path to be the only one. Writers note: The first chapter will set the standard in terms of mood for the remainder of the story. It also comes to no surprise to me that half the people who read the first part stop reading any further. It has quite a bit of the good ‘ol ‘ultra-violence’ mixed with a great deal of realism. As much as I could fit into it from my own knowledge and experience in the elite forces. The first few chapters will be slow, after, but starting from ‘Restless Destroyer’ the remainder of the world will start to open up, and when we hit ‘Adronitis’ the prologue is largely finished. The novel is well thought out and filled with hidden lore, culture, history. So even if my word choice appears random – it’s not. There is a reason why these chapters take as long as they do. Vermodalen is fantasy adventure, with magic and heroics in an as realistic setting as I could fit. Things are rarely what they seem, and the ugly nature of people bleed through the letters at the turn of every page. I hope you can give this story a fair chance, even if it isn’t immediately to your taste. Lastly, english isn't my first language. It isn't my second one either. So, if you find errors in grammer and spelling, wordplay and sentance building, do let me know, and you will be rewarded by a surge of dopamine that will be released inside your brain for helping someone whom you haven't even seen or heard.
