Y/n sat with a hand on her chin.

Her head was in deep thoughts as she stared at Tanya on her own side of her desk.

Keith has even been wondering what she's been staring at, going as far as raising a brow to see if there was going to be any reaction for it.

After Tanya finished talking with Weiss, she turned her gaze towards y/n with a frown.

"Is there something bothering you?" She asked.

Y/n didn't say a word and kept on staring with a look of curiosity.

Tanya felt uneasy.

"Y/n, your stare is starting to sting." She said.

Y/n huffed before dismissing Keith to give something off to somewhere.

"I just thought I was seeing things." She said after Keith left.

Tanya raised a brow as she said, "seeing things??"

Y/n nodded.

"I thought I saw you smiling for a second while talking to first luitenant Weiss, I never see you smile while talking in something really important." She said before she started to grin.

"Is it because of me? That you started to smile?" She snickered.

Tanya faked a laugh before saying, "that's a very good joke, y/n."

"Aww... Are you denying my accusations?" Y/n laughed.

"Perhaps I am." Tanya hummed.

"Oh no, whatever shall I do??" Y/n laughed harder.

This time, Tanya chuckled.

"Y/n, you need to control these topics of yours in our conversation." She said.

"Why?? You seem to like it!" Y/n said.

"Luitenant Keith."

Keith perked up when he was called.

It was Weiss.

"First luitenant Weiss, what brings you here?" He said with a quick salute.

Weiss nodded before saying, "I came to give some things for major y/n, it's a supposed delivery for her, a small package but a heavy one."

Keith took a good look at the wrapped box.

"Looks like a present." He pondered.

Weiss hummed.

"You think so? It's quite heavy for a gift y'now." He said.

"It could be something close to being sweets to be heavy." Keith wondered.

"Yeah, maybe, oh and could you knock and open the door for me please?" Weiss said.

Keith did as he was asked and opened the door for him.

"What's that??" Y/n wondered when Weiss came in and handed her the package.

The package was sealed perfectly.

"I was told it was for you by a delivery man." Weiss answered before continuing with, "I'll be on my way now, major y/n and major Tanya."

Y/n smiled lightly before she decided to open it.

As soon as she did give it a small open gap, something rotten came to her nose.

"Something smells weird." She commented before opening it fully.

Her eyes strained itself from looking after a quick look and she continued to let out a big gasp for air.

Tanya jumped and rushed over to her.

"Y/n, are you alright!?" She said.

Y/n coughed while clutching her chest as she wheezed out, "yeah... Just got a little surprised I almost choked on my own tongue for it."

Tanya frowned.

"Do you need me to call you a doctor?" She asked.

Y/n shook her head in decline.

That didn't help Tanya feel in the slightest assured for her safety.

"What is it that's in the box that scared you?" She wondered while glancing over.

Immedietly did y/n snap her look towards her and away from the box that it caught her off guard.

"W... What is it?" She uttered while holding the hands cupping her cheeks.

"Sorry, you might completely choke on your own breath if you see it, I'll throw it away." Y/n said while taking her hold off of her.

Standing up, she closed the box and carried it with her.

"You shouldn't see this package." She said while opening the door and walking out of the scene.

Tanya was left baffled, curious even.

What was so terrifying that it almost made y/n recoil badly enough to almost die by looking at it for a quick second.

'Hmm... It isn't in my business to her at all...' she thought before sitting back down on her own desk.

Down the hallways and corridors towards the open doors to throw it.

She could still feel the image linger in her head as she felt it move around bumping in each step she took.

As soon as she got to the garbage cans, she tossed it inside without question and hesitation.

'I can't believe they'd actually send something like that.' she thought while making her way back inside the building.

"What did you throw away?" Tanya asked after y/n walked in.

Visha raised a brow while fixing a cup of coffee.

"Just a box." Y/n blurted out.

Tanya frowned in discontent.

"Y/n... Are you going to tell me what was inside the package you received or not?" She said with crossed arms.

Y/n hummed as she sat down on her desk.

"If you're that interested in it, you can look inside the box in the garbage." She answered.

Tanya felt a tangy feeling in her throat over cold answers towards her.

"Y/n, is something bothering you?" She asked while taking the cup of coffee Visha handed.

Y/n hummed before saying, "it's not that it bothers me, it just confuses me."

"Are you going to tell me what was inside the box?" Tanya asked while savoring a taste of the coffee in hand.

"Fine, it was just a rotten decapitated hand, first luitenant Leithan's firm hand to be exact." Y/n answered.

Tanya choked on her coffee with Visha quickly worrying about her sudden reaction.

"A decapitated hand from first luitenant Leithan!?" She stammered.

Y/n nodded.

"I guess they thought it would be funny to see how I would react to it, I did care for him enough to teach him how to understand Japanese and all." She pondered.

"Wait, how do you even know that it's from former first luitenant Leithan??" Tanya chimed while placing her cup down on her desk.

"I once stabbed first luitenant Leithan's hand with a knife before, it was because he was trying to pry on Milena's diary." Y/n said as she clasped her hands under her chin before continuing with, "the I twisted the knife around his hand so I knew exactly how the wound looked after it healed over time."
