A gasp was what Tanya did when she finally woke up. Seriously, y/n having to block her airway by pinching her nose was amusing.

"Oh, you woke up." Y/n said while sitting beside Tanya in the bed.

Tanya blinked a few times before calming down and asking, "where am I?"

"In our room, second luitenant Serebryakov is still not here though... No, I didn't see any of your men at all or the other officers, just a few of my men were like on guard when I snuck passed all of them." Y/n said.

Tanya shot up.

"You did what!?" She said before getting hushed by y/n.

"Don't shout, they might think we got lost in the woods on purpose." Y/n said before laying down on the bed with hands under her head.

Tanya frowned.

"Why did you sneak past them?" She asked.

"Dunno, just felt like it." Y/n said.

"You felt like it..!?"

Tanya was baffled by her answer. Hm.

Y/n glanced over to her before smirking as she said, "I carried you all the way here and snuck you inside through the window, not gonna be thankful??"

"Y/n, what the hell..?" Tanya was a little dumbfounded by y/n now.

Sighing deeply, she laid back down and stared up at the ceiling.

The night was cold.

"Do you think your men along with your coffee machine is in the forest looking for us?" Y/n snickered.

"Perhaps..." Tanya mumbled.

"I bet she got bit by the wolf- aurhk?!" Y/n chuckled before getting kicked in the face by Tanya.

"Don't say such things, y/n." Tanya said.

"Do you really care for your squad thing and officers?" Y/n wondered while easing her aching cheek.

"Of course I have to. I'm their Captain and I'll be taken responsible if something happened to them." Tanya said.

"Aww... Isn't that so cute, I guess I'm really the bad one. Wouldn't care if one of my men were to die as long as they finish their job." Y/n said while closing her eyes for a second to rest.

Tanya hummed while continuing to stare up.

"I'm bored, wanna play a card game or something?" Y/n huffed before sitting back up from the bed.

"You have cards..? And you know how to play card games?" Tanya wondered.

"C'mon, let's play." Y/n chuckled with a smile while nudging Tanya by the arm.

Tanya only sighed.

"Alright..." She said.

"Major Tanya!?? Major y/n!??"

That shout came from one of the people who are looking for two children who went into the woods without question.

Visha looked around with a light in hand with the others close by her also looking around.

Then one of them yelled, "hey! Look!!"

They all immediately rushed over.

There was a trail of somewhat faded footprints, shoes, it was human, four feet, there were two humans, small, they were also young.

"Let's follow it!" Keith said before leading the way.

Dead end. It stopped by a cave.

"You don't think... They went in there, right?" One of y/n's men uttered out when they peered the lights towards the cave.

It wasn't going through, it was dark alright.

Then there was a growl, making them all aware something bad was gonna come out of the darkness.

But out came a small pup from a wolf and barked at them while wagging its tail.

"A... A child's wolf..?" Grantz mumbled in confusion.

No, everybody was confused, not just him.

The voice was menacing, terrifying too as a large wolf came walking out on all four staring down at all of them.

"A wolf..!?" Weiss shot up

"" The wolf asked.

Visha's eyes widened.

"We're looking for our young superiors! Their names are Tanya von Degurechaff and y/n von l/n!" She said.

"H-Hey! Viktoriya, we don't know if we can trust it or not!" One of Tanya's men stammered when she shouted.

The wolf hummed before saying, ""

"The snow..?"

They all began to mumble and talk about it.

"" The wolf said before walking towards a certain tree and blowing fire from its mouth towards the snow.

Everyone was astonished.

'A wolf that breathes fire!??' they thought.

It melted before it showed a memory.

Everyone watched with shocked expressions.

"Such a good boy!! Yeah, you're a good boy! Yes, you are!" Y/n toyed with the small wolf that wagged it's tail and enjoyed the petting it was getting.

Y/n laughed under a toothy smile as she continued to rub the stomach of the pup that was clearly enjoying her company.

"Y/n."

She perked up when someone called out to her from behind.

Then it stopped.

"" The wolf said after the short memory ended.

Y/n's men, being who they are to smoke, placed their lighters close to melt the snow near the tree. Of course, they tried to make sure not to burn the tree.

The memory continued.

Y/n turned to look and saw Tanya standing there with cold breaths.

"Oldy? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be 'not good with cold places'??" She said while standing up.

"I'm sorry." Tanya said.

"Geez, you're gonna get sick again!" Y/n said while taking her hat off and putting it on Tanya's head.

"I don't care if I get sick, you worried me this much to get out and look for you!" Tanya said.

Y/n perked up slightly.

Smiling lightly, she like pulled Tanya close to her.

"Why are you even worrying for me? I'm pretty good with any cold temperature and would be back unscathed and all. Unlike you, you'd be put into a bed because of staying too long out in the cold." She pondered.

"I don't care, just come back... Please." Tanya said, breathing heavily and slowly as she clutched on y/n's coat.

"I was having so much fun playing with the dog though." Y/n huffed.

Tanya raised a brow.

"Dog? What dog??" She asked.

Y/n parted from Tanya and pointed at the pup that sat wagging its tail towards them.

Tanya's eyes widened.

"Y/n, that's not a dog!" She said before they both heard a loud howl from the distance and a faint growl followed next to it.

"That's a wolf!" She continued before yanking y/n by the hand, immediately dragging her out of there.
