We was in the room just chilling, and watching Mario play the game. Of course Aria was right there next to him, it was kinda awkward but we had to get over ourselves.
"Nigga shut up! Where ya dad at?" Mario yelled at the game, "You just keep chattin man, that's why you ain't got no bitch." He continued to yell. I laughed, "Mario yo ass ain't got a bitch either." I joked, "Dd nobody asked you bruh, cause you ain't got one either" he mugged me, "Cause ion want one, on the other hand you can't get one" I mugged him back, "Okay but my bitch right here.." he looked over at Aria, "She not ya bitch..." I chuckled.
"But she is...alright then, where my bitch? Where ya lil brother?" He looked over at me with a serious ass face. I paused, why the fuck would he just say that? "Bro Mario, what the fuck?" Ddot looked up from his phone.
"It was just a joke my bad." He tried to play it off, "Nah bro, cause I'm not fucking laughing, why would you just say that." I stood up from the bed, "Yo Dd calm down, I was just joking!" Mario tried to push me away, "That wasn't fucking funny bro!" I pushed him and he kinda tilted off his chair.
"You really thought we was gonna let that fucking slide?" Ddot got up and pushed him to, "Just cause you my fucking cousin don't mean you could joke like that!" Ddot pushed him again, "Now y'all really buggin bro, stop pushing me!" Mario stood up, "No nigga cause what you said was just mad disrespectful!" I yelled, "Guys calm down bruh! Y'all both buggin!" Aria stood up between us, "You defending him, really Aria?" Ddot stared at her.
"He said he was just joking-." Ddot cut her off before she could finish, "Nah Aria, you really been on some ocky shit ever since Mario got here. If you gonna keep acting like this over some dick then fine, but we gotta take a break." He sighed. "Ddot that's mad weird and you know that, you can't just cut me off like that." She mugged me.

"You're being mad fake towards me & Dd, so maybe you need to get ya self together before talking to us again." He explained, "Wow Ddot. We've been friends since kindergarten and this how you treat me?" She tried to act all surprised.
"Look at how you've been treating us! Mario really getting into ya head." Ddot yelled, "You just chattin now, y'know what go-...I'm not even gonna say it." I could tell she was holding in something, "Nah go ahead, say some dumb shit." Ddot balled up his fists, "What? You finna punch me? Fucking pussy ass nigga." She chuckled, "Man, fuck the both of y'all." Ddot sighed and pushed through the bedroom door.
"Aria come back to us when you done being a fucking bitch, and Mario I should really punch yo ass." I pointed my finger at him, "Bro get ya finger out my face, you ain't punching nobody." Mario pushed me slightly, "Who the fuck you touching?" I pushed him back, "Yo get the fuck off me!" Mario grabbed my shirt and pushed me towards the wall, I tripped over something and hit the wall hard ass hell.
"Get off of me!" I yelled while he was tryna tussle me, I then pushed him off me. Ddot came rushing back into the room, "Don't put ya' hands on him ever again." Ddot stared Mario in the eyes while helping me up, "Yeah okay, y'all lil Nigga's just gtfo of here." He scoffed, "This my fucking house bro." Ddot chuckled, "Y'know what, I don't care, let's go Dd." He pulled me away and we left the room.
"This is why I hate her kids so much, I love my Tía but her children are just...something else." ddot sighed, "Why are they acting like this bro...like what did we do to them." I rubbed my back in pain. "Did he actually hurt your back?" Ddot stopped walking and pulled me closer, "Yeah...he pushed me into that fucking wall.." I groaned, "Let's just go back to your house, I'll help you there." Ddot suggested.

We made it back to my house. "Oh hey wsp guys." Jay said looking up from his phone, "Hey Jay..." I sighed, "Y'all good?" He asked, "Ddot's fucking cousin Mario, he was being a bitch." I responded, "What bro do?" Jay laughed, "He fucking asked me 'where ya lil brother at'." I mimicked him, "No way he actually said that...", "Yes he did, Him n Aria were being way too fucking ocky.", "I don't need to go back there do I?", "Not for now.." I slightly laughed.
Then me and ddot walked to my room. I gently laid down on my stomach, "Don't move to much, I'll get chu some ice." Ddot said, "Noo, don't leave me, it don't even hurt that bad just come lay next to me." I whined, "No baby let me get you some ice!", "If you just lay with me I promise I'd feel better.", "Ight okay then." He plopped down next to me. I felt his soft hand connect with my back, he started rubbing against me.
"I'm so sorry about my cousin baby, I didn't know he was a bitch like that." Ddot sighed, "It's not your fault...he could've been too distracted and it slipped out but...he's your cousin so I can't stay mad at him." I buried my head into my pillow. "Nah you can be mad as long as you want, cause I know I am.", "I just wanna take my mind off it." I sighed. "I got something to make you feel better." He smirked, "What is it?" I looked up, then he pulled me into a kiss.
I pulled away for a second and had a big smile on my face, "I love you so much, you know that right?" Ddot cupped my checks, "Yes...you tell me all the time." I blushed and turnt my face away, "Cause I don't want you to forget, even if we get into arguments, or we not talking. Just know that I love you to death.", "I love you so much too Ddot, more than you know it.", "I might not say it much but just know that, your mine, and you always will be. Even if we get older and break up, I will always love you." I continued to rant. "I think we gonna be together forever." He put his lips back on mine.
I rolled on top of him, and started grinding against him, "Oh shit DD." He said through one of his lil moans, "Oh, you like that?" I smirked, "Yeah I do, keep moving like that-." He was saying before Jay busted through my fucking door, "What y'all lil grown asses doing in here?" He scoffed, "Bro Jay, Get out!" I got off of ddot and tried to push him away, "I swear this is the last time one of y'all dickheads disturb our peace." Ddot sighed heavily, "Y'all tryna get NEAKY which is something y'all don't need to be doing!" He started ranting, "Shut up Jay, I know Dudeylo be dickin' you down." I shut my door in his face and locked it.
"What did you just say to me?" Jay started banging on my door, "Huh? Nothing!" I played him off, "Nah open this door I'm not finna let that slide!" He rattled the door knob, "You only mad cause y'know it's true." I laughed, "Just watch when you get out this room.".

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.

Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters.
