"Sooo, where exactly are we going?" Y/N asked for the fourth time in five minutes, causing Alicia to roll her eyes.

"You know you're very impatient," Alicia said as the two walked alongside one another. Alicia tried to get Y/N to ride on her handlebars but the older girl refused, so now she was pushing her bike along as they walked through the empty streets.

Y/N laughed slightly. "Yeah, well when the girl that basically hates you tells you to follow her you might be a little impatient yourself," She joked.

Alicia frowned as the y/h/c girl said this but Y/N didn't notice, not thinking anything of her joke. The two continued walking in silence until Alicia finally stopped in front of a random driveway.

"We're here," Alicia said softly while putting the kickstand up on her bike and allowing it to sit up in the driveway. "Let's go," She then began walking toward the front door.

Y/N was confused but followed anyway. The house seemed to be abandoned, and she assumed the family managed to get away before the military fences went up. The two girls walked into the house quietly, and Y/N scanned her surroundings once they were inside. It was a very nice house and the owners were obviously wealthy. There was a grand piano, multiple pictures of a family on international vacations, and the biggest collection of liquor and wine the girl had ever seen.

"Found this place a few days ago," Alicia cut into the older girl's thoughts, causing her to turn to face the younger girl. "I thought it was cool and I figured you could..." She paused for a moment before shrugging. "...you could use a distraction."

"How considerate," Y/N said jokingly, causing a smile to spread across Alicia's face. "What do you do here?"

"I like to just look around," The younger girl said while walking further into the living room. "See how people like you used to live..."

Alicia's comment caught Y/N off guard, but it was true. She was fortunate enough to grow up in a rather wealthy family, though ever since her parents death she's barely used anything they left her. The guilt kept her from dipping into the life insurance money or even using their old house by the beach.

Alicia noticed Y/N's discomfort and quickly continued. "I'm sorry that was so stupid and inconsiderate..." She sighed out, though the other girl just shrugged.

Y/N had a tight lipped smiled across her face as she responded. "It's okay, Alicia," She responded honestly. "But how about you show me around this place?"

Alicia nodded before motioning for Y/N to follow her. The two walked throughout the house, exploring all the different rooms. There was a movie theater in the basement, a cabinet full of any liquor you could imagine, and rooms full of extravagant clothing and decor. Y/N took it all in, amazed by the fact the family left it all behind. As she walked throughout the house she couldn't help but wonder how her old house was. She hadn't seen it since long before the world went to shit, and she figured it'd been ransacked and ruined by now. There was an intricate gate to the house, but that certainly wouldn't have been enough to keep desperate people out.

"Do you like this?" Alicia asked while holding up a dress she found in the parents room. Y/N looked at it before nodding. "Okay, well do you think it would look good on me?"

"I think you'd look beautiful in it," Y/N responded without even thinking. Upon realizing what she said she quickly cleared her throat before continuing. "I mean - I mean yeah you'd look good in it."

Alicia blushed slightly but quickly looked toward the floor, hoping Y/N wouldn't catch the way her cheeks flushed red. The older girl did notice, however, but chose not to say dwell on it.

The two girls stood there in silence until Y/N spoke up again. "I think you should try it on. I'll go look around a bit more," She then walked out of the room, giving Alicia the privacy to change.

As she walked around the second floor she examined the photos of the family that were hanging up along the wall. It was a small family of four, and the kids looked to be around only 7-10 years old. She wondered where they were now. The thought of them being dead saddened her, but she also knew it was a very real possibility. She had no idea what was going on outside the fence really. She'd only seen small fragments of the outside world.

Y/N found herself walking back downstairs. Once she reached the bottom she turned her head back toward the room Alicia was in. When she looked up she noticed Alicia staring at herself in the mirror, the straps of the dress slightly down her shoulders causing the older girl to gulp slightly. Alicia then turned her head slightly, causing the two girls to make eye contact. Y/N quickly averted her eyes and made herself seem busy checking out random things that were laid on the shelf beside her.

After a few minutes Alicia came back downstairs while wearing the dress she had tried on. As she walked down Y/N couldn't help but stare at the girl. The dress was long and golden, and hugged Alicia in all the right places. Alicia had her hair up in a bun allowing for her tan shoulders and chest to be on full display. She noticed Y/N staring and smirked slightly, a small chuckle escaping her lips when the older girl noticed her smirk and quickly looked away.

"Do you like it?" Alicia asked as she reached the bottom of the stairs, moving to stand in front of Y/N.

Y/N cleared her throat while nodding. "Y-yeah it looks really nice," She said honestly while looking the girl in the eyes.

Alicia smiled slightly before walking toward the refrigerator in the kitchen. When she opened it she called Y/N over, showing the girl the multiple bottles of chilled champagne. "Shall we pop one open?" Alicia asked while taking a bottle from the fridge.

Y/N shrugged. "Not much to celebrate these days but I say go for it."

Alicia then busied herself with taking off the wrapping and metal brace on the cork while Y/N searched for two champagne glasses. Once the older girl found them she turned back toward Alicia. Alicia then popped the cork off, however it flew directly into Y/N's stomach making her grimace slightly.

"Fuck, I'm so sorry!" Alicia exclaimed while rushing over to the older girl.

Y/N's hand was resting on her stomach as she gritted her teeth, sending Alicia a small thumbs up with her freehand. It normally wouldn't have hurt that bad but somehow Alicia managed to hit her directly where the guard had just two nights ago. Y/N lifted her shirt up, examining the bruise while Alicia stared at the older girl.

As Alicia looked toward the girl her eyes widened as she noticed a gun handle sticking out of Y/N's waistband. "Why do you have that?" The younger girl questioned while pointing toward the handle.

Y/N's eyes widened and she quickly lowered her shirt, but there was no point considering Alicia had already seen it. Alicia looked shocked, though Y/N simply shrugged before responding. "It's for protection, Alicia. Lots of crazy shit happening right now."

"Oh..." Alicia mumbled before lifting the bottle of champagne up slightly, choosing to quickly change the topic. "Champagne?"

Obviously Alicia was bothered by Y/N's gun, but she understood why the girl had it. Things were crazy out there, and she knew Y/N had seen more than probably anyone in her family had at this point. If having a gun made her feel safe Alicia wasn't going to deny her that. Besides it could actually come in handy at some point.

Once the girls poured glasses of champagne they walked into the living room, sitting down on opposite sides of the fancy couch. Alicia placed the open bottle on the coffee table in front of them before leaning back, sighing slightly as she brought the glass to her lips. Y/N quickly followed, taking a sip of the sweet champagne and smiling slightly. It'd been awhile since she had a drink, and she missed it a bit more than she cared to admit. Drinking was the only thing that got her through her parents death, though she was careful to avoid drinking too much and going from and addict to an alcoholic.

"It's good," Y/N said once she had taken a few sips. Alicia nodded in agreement, though she didn't say anything. After a few long minutes of silence Y/N pulled her phone out, scrolling through the music app before settling on a song to play. Post Malone gently filled the quiet room, and the two girls smiled at one another before continuing to sip on their drinks and relax.

They continued like this for an hour, Alicia standing up at one point and grabbing another bottle. Though this time she was careful to open the bottle in the opposite direction of the older girl. As they worked on drinking the second bottle both girls started to feel a bit tipsy, and soon they started to talk about random things.

"Okay, but obviously penguins could fly if they really tried," Y/N said, causing Alicia to roll her eyes.

"Y/N, they don't even have wings. They're like flaps basically," Alicia argued, causing Y/N to sigh.

"Yeah, but they're more aerodynamics than we'll ever be," She said while holding her arms out jokingly. She then moved them up and down, causing both girls to laugh.

Alicia reached over, pushing Y/N's arms down. "Quit being stupid," She said while still laughing.

"I am not being stupid!" The older girl exclaimed. It was only then she noticed the close proximity between them. After Alicia had pushed her arms down she remained right beside Y/N, one of her hands still resting on her forearm. Alicia seemed to notice too, but in her tipsy state she kept her hand where it was.

Both girls tore their eyes away from Y/N's arm to make eye contact with one another. They stared into each other's eyes and neither one made a move to look away. Y/N could hear Alicia's gentle breathing, and she was almost positive by that point Alicia could hear her heartbeat. It was racing from the proximity and the fact Alicia was now moving her hand higher on the girls arm, allowing it to rest gently on her bicep.

Y/N opened her mouth to crack another joke in an attempt to break the silence, but was quickly cut off when Alicia leaned forward to close the distance between them. She captured Y/N's lips in a heated kiss, taking the other girl by surprise. Y/N quickly came back to her senses, returning the kiss while placing her hand on Alicia's back, causing the girl to lean into her while moving her hand behind Y/N's neck. At that point Alicia was basically kneeling in the other girl's lap, and Y/N felt butterflies erupting in her stomach. She'd never felt like this from a kiss before. Both girls fought for dominance, Y/N coming out on top when she bit Alicia's lip slightly, causing Alicia's mouth to open just enough for her to slip her tongue in gently.

Y/N couldn't believe what was happening. She was really making out with Alicia Clark - the girl that seemingly hated her. She was sure the alcohol had something to do with it, but she couldn't find it in her to care. Her hand slowly moved down to grab Alicia's waist, and that was when Alicia snapped back into reality.

Alicia quickly pulled back, jumping out of Y/N's lap and to the opposite end of the couch before Y/N even had a chance to open her eyes. When the older girl opened them her mouth was hanging slightly open, and she looked over to where Alicia was sitting. She wore an upset expression on her face, causing Y/N to frown slightly.

"Alici-"

"Stop," Alicia quickly cut the girl off, causing her mouth to snap shut. "You shouldn't have done that."

"Wait what?" Y/N questioned her, confusion evident in her voice.

Alicia shook her head while standing up, but Y/N quickly followed suit. "You shouldn't have kissed me, Y/N. W-why did you do that?"

"Alicia," Y/N said while taking a step forward which only caused Alicia to take a step back. "You kissed me."

"Shut up!" Alicia snapped, causing the older girl's eyes to widen. "You need to leave..."

Y/N stood there for a second, still caught off guard by Alicia's sudden outburst. The kiss had felt right to her, but clearly the brunette disagreed. Deciding not to push Alicia she simply nodded. However, she then decided to speak up one more time.

"Okay," Y/N said gently. "I'll go but not without you...it isn't safe."

Alicia shook her head hastily. "I don't want to be around you."

"I'm sorry..." Y/N responded, though she had no clue what she was apologizing for. She felt guilty even though Alicia was the one that kissed her. "I'm sorry I let that happen but please don't make me leave. You don't understand when I tell you it really isn't safe. I promise to leave you alone as soon as we're back to your house..."

"Fine," Alicia said harshly, causing Y/N to take a step back. "But wait here. I'm going to change."

The older girl simply nodded, watching as Alicia turned and quickly walked up the stairs. Once she was out of sight Y/N sat down, placing her head in her hands as she did so.

Alicia had kissed her. Not the other way around. She understood if Alicia didn't feel the same way she did about her, but it didn't give her a right to be upset with Y/N. All she did was kiss the girl back. Her mind quickly went over the last two minutes, and she couldn't get the heated kiss out of her head. It seemed desperate, almost as if Alicia had been wanting to do it. But it was clear that wasn't the case.

Had she done something wrong?
