Finney was always protective of me, sometimes he protected me in the way a boyfriend would protect his girlfriend but when I would bring it up, he'd say it wasn't like that
I was walking to school alone, because finney insisted on walking with Gwen. I had no problem with it, I just preferred to be with someone
As I turned the corner those bullies were there. Waiting.
Bully- huh, no boyfriend today
Y/n- go away
Bully- no one to stop me
He walked up to me, backing me into a corner
Y/n- stop
Bully- sorry, no can do
He began hitting me, causing my nose to bleed. That wasn't enough for him so he punched me in the jaw before punching my stomach. I fell to the ground
Finney- hey!
Bully- oh here he is, here to safe you
Finney would usually say nothing and attempt to make the situation better by walking away. Not today.
He walked straight up to the bully. He punched him, hard. Knocking him onto the ground.
He didn't stop there. Finney got ontop of him. Pulling out a knife he made a long cut against his cheek
Finney- fuck with her again and I swear, next time it won't be your cheek
He got off the bully. The bully scrambled to his feet and ran.
Finney walked straight over to me, helping me onto my feet
Finney- you ok? That looks like it hurts
Y/n- I'm ok
Finney- come on, I'll take you to the nurses office
He wrapped his arm around me and helped me into the nurses office
Nurse- oh dear, what's happened to you dear
Y/n- just got into it with someone
Finney- will she be ok?
Nurse- don't worry about your girlfriend, she will be fine. All she needs is a few plasters, some pain killers and an ice pack

Finney sat with me, waiting till I felt better the whole time
Y/n- you can go
Finney- no I'm staying here
Nurse- your all set to leave
Finney- thank you
Finney helped me to the canteen seen as it was lunch.
Y/n- I'm fine finney
Finney- no it's my fault. I should've been with you.
Y/n- god damn it finney you don't have to be so over protective
Finney- yes I do! Yes I fucking do y/n!
Y/n- why finney!?
Finney- just because
Y/n- that's not an answer
He leaned in and kissed me
Finney- is that an answer
I couldn't speak. I was in shock. He'd always said we'd never be anything but here we are

This is my first full on story, and is mostly going to be a learning experience for me. It is going to be a story following the life of Arcius as a Dungeon God, with very few POV swaps, if any. I was inspired to create this story after reading the Scale Dungeon, by TheSilverGunner, here on RRL. It is a good story, despite having only a few chapter out at the time of writing this. I highly recommend that you read that story if you find this one interesting.
