《》CHAPTER XXVIII

I couldn't love her enough.

I couldn't give her what she deserved,

I gave her all my heart, but not my trust.

Now my heart was bleeding, as it must...

I don't deserve to be happy.

I don't deserve to see her beautiful eyes,

I can't just keep filling my heart with lies.

They say feelings change as time flies,

But I still can't let her go, even if I ran away miles...

With the guilt of my cowardice,

My heart ached and ached, but a strange longing was still there,

I simply taught my brain to stop it and do what it must.

I have to let her go...

Let her go to the people who will love and cherish her more than I ever might.

I don't deserve to be happy,

I don't deserve the light...

With her, I discovered how it feels,

Before, I was not even sure how it goes,

The sensation of the hormonal flow...

But what I know, from deep inside,

All I wanted was her by my side...

Call me selfish, as I was,

Even after everything and knowing all my flaws,

Is it even love? I couldn't explain,

But seeing her with someone else, all I felt was pain...

Her image was stored in my hippocampus, showing up in daydreams and nights,

But what was even more strange, a cat jumped out of nowhere, in my range,

When she smiles, my heart skips a beat and my cheeks blush with sudden heat,

My brain was just spinning, confused...

I was confused about everything, and I was feeling like a moron,

I just wanted my life to be like a blank canvas to draw on.

I wanted to hate the intruder, but I watched her eyes as she looked at her,

The way she blushes, shutters, and tries to cling on to her...

I thought I would be angry, but I wasn't,

She can give her what I couldn't.

How could I hate her? She was like an angel...

An angel who brought life to the moor mansion,

I observe her as while talking with her, her eyes filled with passion.

No matter how much it stings, I can't be selfish.

Not after everything,

I have to let her go.

I guess I missed my chance and I left with time, which too will flow...

The Cobra Mistress ever so lightly placed the Zodiac Mistress from her arms on the bed of the Darkmoon Mistress' room after their little hangout on the terrace.

Krystal had allowed them to use her room too, as, according to Adriana, 'Kidnapper Number One kept the best mattresses for her' and, as a good kidnapper, the Mistress was, she let the overly dramatic and childish woman mark her bed as her own territory.

Sandra stared at Adriana's face, noticing how she was averting her gaze with a tint of blush on her face, making the former wonder about the cause.

Sandra lifted her hand and touched Adriana's forehead, making her flinch with the sudden contact.

"Wh-hat?" she shuttered as the cobra lady's hand trailed down over her cheeks.

"You don't have a fever, but why are you red?" Sandra wondered and, with this, Adriana became even redder than before.

"I-I- have a fever-" she mumbled, and Sandra nodded, guessing perhaps the former did have a bit of fever.

The Cobra Mistress was unable to notice the crossed legs of the Zodiac Mistress and how she tried to calm her down by cooling her cheeks down with her hands, hoping the hormonal surge would go away, but she could not keep her eyes off the Asian beauty.

There was a certain kind of power in that woman which even made the Mistress of the Zodiac Empire want to just worship her.

Worship her round globes, which were visible beneath her v-neck tee, her beautiful collar bone, her sinful-

The Zodiac Mistress, who has always been surrounded by women and girls just as much as her computers in order to fill the void left by her mother, the zodiac Mistress, whose single look was enough to make people go crazy and make them beg for just a single look of love, was now herself feeling the emotions felt by her admirers.

All Sandra did was just stretch her numb arms, which caused her chest to rise, giving the zodiac mistress a perfect view of her boob cups. And Lord, what a masterpiece they were! Adriana gulped, staring at the perfect human specimen in front of her, which had not gone unnoticed by Sandra.

'Why is she staring at my breasts?' The cobra lady wondered but shrugged it off, guessing, 'Probably she was just spacing out..'

"Should I call a doctor? She asked and took some steps towards the table to pick up the phone which Krystal had given to her. The Zodiac Mistress licked her lips while watching the way her hips swayed, undulating like a soft harmonic motion. Her long silky hair fell over her shoulders, mimicking the motion of her head like a warm summer breeze in the field of yearning cocoa beans.

'Ugh... You fucking need to stop it-' The zodiac mistress unconsciously groaned, making Sandra turn around to look at her.

She raised her brows and the zodiac mistress averted her gaze. "Umm, Headache-" she mumbled, making the cobra lady slightly worried about her, which she will not accept in ages.

'Why the fuck all these women are so fucking hot here-' Adriana now mentally sighed as she stabilized her posture into a more comfortable one.

Her leg was kind of healed, but she still couldn't walk over fifty steps on her own without stinging pain, which she loved but couldn't enjoy because of the 24/7 company of people around her.

The Cobra mistress came back and dropped something on Adriana's, which she picked up to see it was some tablets of Paracetamol.

"Take one- for now and I will call the doc if your fever stays for five hours-" Sandra said she was watching the clock hung on the wall, and to say Adriana was somewhat touched would be an understatement.

Adriana, who, too, didn't have a great childhood filled with unicorns and rainbows, was now somewhat feeling like she was liked and appreciated in the mansion.

The feeling was warm but still scary. Scary due to the fact that the warmth was temporary, temporary was the happiness. She had to let it go, as she didn't belong there.

Adriana smiled bitterly and Sandra stared at her as if the cat woman had finally gone completely crazy from the stage of seventy per cent crazy and thirty per cent dramatic-

"Why are you smiling as if you snorted five sticks?" Sandra stared, and suddenly her eyes widened. "Did you?" She gasped, and Adriana rolled her eyes at her.

"Hey being dramatic is my role, don't take my screen time, you bitch-" Adriana scoffed playfully, at which Sandra smiled and walked towards the bed to take a seat beside the cat woman.

Adriana hastily looked around the room to divert her mind from thinking about the things that were not healthy for the sanity of her mind.

Her heart was becoming restless and restless with each and every passing second, till her eyes spotted the picture on the stool beside the bed.

"Both of you looked cute" Adriana mentally high-fived herself for not sounding like a crazy high schooler blabbering things in front of her crush.

Sandra just smiled again, but this time her smile was bitter as her eyes fixed upon the boy standing beside the two girls beaming into the camera.

'Oh- shit! ' Adriana cursed herself and she touched Sandra's shoulder, making her flinch with the sudden reflex, but she just nodded at Adriana.

They both stayed silent, silent for minutes. The atmosphere was becoming thicker and thicker and finally, Sandra decided to break it.

"You know, Jake always acted weird with us-" Sandra started and was stunned by the topic. Adriana just stared at the cobra mistress as no one except Max had told her anything about their past.

"My f-father loved him and even wanted to give h-him the chair-" Sandra continued, and Adriana noticed how her breath hitched while saying the word father.

Adriana patted Sandra's shoulder a little to give her some sort of courage or consolation, which seemed to work as the cobra lady smiled at her gesture.

"I know you have many questions with you. You can ask me and I will answer if I want-" Sandra offered, and she swears she literally saw a weird glow on the Zodiac lady's face.

'She looks like a cat who just got her treats' Sandra chuckled at her own thought as her brain imagined cat-ears and a furry tail to grow out of the woman in front of her.

'She will look hot-... Wait where the fuck that came from?'

"You drew the sketch of the girls?" Adriana asked, giving Sandra an innocent look, which made her sigh and nod in answer.

"Do you still draw?"

"No, I quit it almost thirteen years ago-" Sandra answered truthfully, and Adriana frowned.

"Why though?" She asked further, and for a moment, Sandra stopped.

'Can I tell her? What will they do with the information, anyway?' Sandra took a deep breath and looked into the other woman's eyes.

"My father was the most loving, brilliant, and caring dad in the entire world-"

"Uhuh-"

"A great husband, a loving father, and a powerful leader-"

Adriana just listened as Sandra took another deep breath before continuing telling the tale, which she had never told any single soul...

"...but he had a disease, no... sorry syndrome. -

S-split personality syndrome, his a-alter was evil- totally different from my papa-, his alter used to beat me and my mother and d-do- cruel things.."

Adriana's grab on Sandra's shoulder tightened as Sandra's demeanour momentarily changed.

"I-I was alone- most of the t-time when K-Krystal was busy with her training and classes- so I-I- started sketching..."

Sandra stopped and for a moment looked into Adriana's eyes, which seemed to be slightly wetter...

'Oh- she is so soft to be a leader-' Sandra mentally chuckled, but deep down she was glad to know that the cat woman slightly cared about her.

"...I drew and drew, pouring all my hatred towards my fathers alter, filling pages and pages till one day my mother found them out, and the very day s-she killed the monster, b-but along-g h-him..."

Without considering anything else, The Zodiac Mistress hugged the cobra lady.

Sandra was stunned by the sudden action but didn't push her away and decided to continue the story...

"I-I went to t-therapy for a year, which lessened the nightmares I used to have, and just after t-two m-months, I returned, m-my ma-"

Sandra's breath hitched, and Adriana started rubbing circles over her back. Sandra was reluctant to admit that she was also yearning for the warmth and comfort that she was feeling at the moment.

"-I hurt K-Krystal, s-she w-was pleading, b-but I-I- didn't believe h-her-"

"It's alright-" Adriana whispered, trying to provide as much comfort as she could.

"K-Krystal s-should h-hate me n-ow"

"But she doesn't-"

"That's why I-I hate me more-"

"No-..." For a moment, Adriana lost her words and just hugged the Asian beauty even tighter.

"You can't change the past, but future is all yours-" Adrianna said, and with this Sandra reluctantly nodded, wiping drops of tears that trailed down her cheek.

After some minutes, Sandra withdrew herself from the hug and suddenly felt a kind of empty. She shrugged the feeling off and smiled at the zodiac lady, who was looking really emotional rather than her usual bubbly demeanour.

Sandra raised her hand and patted the reddish-brown curly head just as if she was treating a child. "Thank you," she mumbled, to which Adriana gave her a beaming smile.

"You know, since the beginning, Krystal and I hated this underworld-" Sandra said, and Adriana nodded.

"I don't like this side either. The power, the fame, and the wealth are just superficial when the pain and living in darkness is eternal-" Adriana replied, to which Sandra raised her brows at her.

"I didn't think you would agree.." Sandra commented, to which Adriana rolled her eyes and looked at the clock.

"It's been two hours already. Where is Krystal?"

Sandra's gaze was averted towards the clock too, and she sighed.

"She will be back soon, don't worry-"

"I thought you like her," Adriana said curtly, to which Sandra stared at her face as if she had sprouted horns.

"So do you-" Sandra said, making Adriana gasp.

"I DO NOT-" Adriana screeched, making Sandra chuckle.

"Sure-"

"Ughh... don't divert the topic. You like her, right?" Adriana huffed, making Sandra nod at the question.

'Yes, but she somehow looks to be hiding something, something important from me..' Sandra thought and sighed.

"So, why are you not even bothered about the fact that Blue Pearl Bastard's intentions most likely are- ughhh!" Adriana groaned, making Sandra snicker.

"Why are you laughing?" Adriana glared at Sandra, making her laugh even more-

"Sorry, but there is nothing to worry-"

"Huh?"

"I have been observing her for years and she didn't let anyone lay a single finger on her-"

"WHAT?"

"Yes."

"But she-she... she told me they fucked-"

"They did not-"

"Uhuh-"

"Hmmm..."

"So she lied to me." Adriana pouted, and Sandra flickered her finger over her forehead, making her groan.

"Umm... no-,"

"What?" Adriana was totally confused by then as she rubbed her forehead.

"Ever heard about a dominatrix?"

******************************************************

"I-I told you to - to come alone!" The Head of Blue Pearl's hid behind the sofa as the dangerous pit bull terrier gritted his teeth at the already petrified man.

The Dark Moon mistress chuckled in her cold monotone and patted the head of her most precious companion, making him stop a little.

"You only mentioned people, Alex-" Krystal replied lazily and took her seat on one chair and gestured for Kartos to sit by her legs, and like a good boy that he was, he did what he was gestured to do so.

"Enough hiding, Alex. Take the couch. He won't bite-" Krystal commanded, making Alex gulp as he stared into the cold eyes of the beast, but he reluctantly did what he was demanded.

The dog was having fun as he just growled a little, making Alex stumble on the seat and Krystal mentally smirked at her baby.

"So?" she asked, and the man fixed his tie and gulped before starting.

"One small birde informed me that Hunter got his hands over the wolf's prey-" Alex commented, and Krystal's eyes went wide with realisation.

"Black Dragons got that bitch-" she said, making the leader of Blue Pearl smirk.

"Yes- My Lady, I have confirmed it myself-" Alex tried to grin instead of the fact that he couldn't because of the beast staring at him as if he was boring holes into his soul.

For a moment, Krystal became silent and seemed to think of something, but then she sighed.

"Thank you-" She spoke to the man, and he winked at her.

"That's my duty, my lady-"

"What do you want?" Krystal raised her brows, knowing that nothing in this world comes for free.

"Well, that's what I like the most about you, miss. Straight to the point, as usual-" Alex grinned and crossed one leg over another, making Krystal roll her eyes at him, but she stayed silent, letting the man continue.

"Thirty percent shares of your both black and white market-" Alex grinned and Krystal sighed, knowing that there was nothing she could do as Darkmoon's rats were not that active in the dragon's area.

Krystal was about to nod when Alex interrupted, " and-"

"And what?" Krystal questioned, and Kartos barked, making the man flinch.

The man gulped and took some deep breaths before continuing, "I know that was only for one time, so I can't demand that again as I love my life. Thank you very much, so please cool this beast down!" He screeched and Krystal patted Kartos' head, making him calm.

"I am glad you have some brain cells left-"Krystal commented, making the man pout.

"Anyway, what I want is-"

***************************

The mistress of the Dark Moon empire elegantly walked towards her Range Rover with the leash of the dangerous yet charming dog in her hands, and she opened the passenger door for her baby and then took the driving seat and sighed.

"We will get him, baby-" she mumbled to the dog, who licked her cheek in response, making her groan and wipe his saliva with her shirt.

"No licking baby---" She ordered, and the dog lazily ignored her, making her huff.

'Think of something quickly, Kry-' She mentally worked, thinking about all the things she could do.

'I can't directly attack them and cause damage to the lives of both teams,' she groaned.

Minutes passed, and she started thinking about what she must do to keep the life loss at a minimum. Finally, an idea pinged in her head and she hastily opened the glove box to get her phone.

She dialled a number, and the line immediately got answers after just two rings...

"Hello, Misstress?"

"Linda- get that cheeky bastard on the line-" Krystal commanded.

"Which one miss?" Linda asked in her professional tone.

"The Zodiac One"

"Alright miss-"

"Wait, Linda!"

"Yes, Miss?

"You already have or will receive a text from an unknown number. Don't block it, just bear with it for some time, will you?"

The line went silent for some time.

"Linda?"

"O-Okay-Mistress"

to be continued...
